A Cincinnati woman will appear on an episode of "Jeopardy!" next week.
Danielle Linn, a historian and auctioneer who lives in Kennedy Heights, will have her episode air on June 23 with guest host Savannah Guthrie.
Linn was set to originally film her episode in March 2020, but it was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Had she filmed her episode in March 2020, she would have had Alex Trebek as a host.
“Alex was the face of ‘Jeopardy!’, and anyone who is a fan of the show misses him terribly,” Linn said. “But the crew and the behind-the-scenes people are really wanting to uphold Alex’s legacy, and keep the same ‘Jeopardy!’ we all know and love going, and they’re doing such a good job of that.”
Although Linn's episode airs in June, it was taped in March, she said.
Guthrie is the latest in a series of guest hosts who have taken over moderating the show following longtime host Trebek’s death in November 2020. She will host until June 25, when CNN Chief Medical Correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta will take over.

Linn described Guthrie, the co-anchor of NBC’s "Today Show," as “wonderful, really personable and a competent host.”
Regardless of what the outcome may be, it’s an achievement in itself to get on ‘Jeopardy!,’” Linn added.
“I know Savannah took her role very seriously in that regard as well, and she tried to keep the spirit of the show.”
Linn’s episode will air at 7:30 p.m. June 23 on Fox19 in Cincinnati.
