Pearl Jam is known to cover "Baba O'Riley" - one of The Who's biggest hits - in concert, especially during an encore. So it was no surprise when the band played it at the end of a show Friday night at Oakland Arena.
Before performing it Friday, frontman Eddie Vedder told the crowd he was glad The Who is playing in Cincinnati - on Sunday at TQL Stadium - for the first time since 11 people were killed outside Riverfront Coliseum in 1979.

When Pearl Jam played in Cincinnati in 2014, Vedder dedicated a cover of the Who's "The Real Me" to those who died and their families.
In 2018, Vedder gave his good friend, Reds Hall of Famer Sean Casey, a shout-out during a concert in Italy.
