FC Cincinnati got off to a winning start on the preseason scrimmage front.
Cincinnati on Friday defeated the University of South Florida men's soccer program, 3-1, with goals coming via Brandon Vazquez, Calvin Harris and Quimi Ordonez.
FC Cincinnati took a 1-0 lead into halftime on a tap-in by Vazquez, according to the team. Harris doubled the lead from the penalty spot in the 52nd minute before USF scored on a set-piece opportunity in the 80th minute.

Ordonez put the result away with a goal in the closing moments.
The scrimmage capped off the second week of preseason prep work for FCC, as well as its first full week in Clearwater, Florida.
