Three people have died, including two children, in a shooting in Columbus Tuesday evening. The shooting happened in the 6600 block of Kodiak Drive on the southeast side of Columbus at around 6:15 p.m.Columbus Division of Police Assistant Chief LaShanna Potts said when officers arrived at the scene, they found a vehicle that had bullet holes throughout its exterior. Officers found three bodies inside the vehicle. They tried to save the three victims when they rushed to the scene but all three had died shortly after officers arrived. "As you can hear in the background, you have a mother who is grieving the loss of her child and you have a young male who was also killed," Potts said, calling the shooting "unacceptable."Potts called the two young victims “babies” and the third victim a “young man,” but police have not released the names and specific ages of the victims."Whoever did this, they didn't take the time to see who was inside the car. This is reckless gun violence," Potts said.Police have not said anything about what led up to the shooting or release any suspect information at this time.Authorities are still investigating.
