UC Bearcats center Chris Vogt enters NCAA transfer portal

Cincinnati Bearcats center Chris Vogt has entered the NCAA transfer portal.

Vogt has played two seasons for the Northern Kentucky Norse and two seasons for the Bearcats - all for former Cincinnati head coach John Brannen, after following Brannen from NKU to UC - but can use an extra year of eligibility granted by the NCAA because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Vogt averaged 5.0 points and 3.5 rebounds in 19.4 minutes per game in 23 games this past season. He averaged 11 points, 5.9 rebounds and 1.6 blocks in 28.5 minutes per game in his first season with the Bearcats.

One year ago, Vogt declared for the 2020 NBA Draft while still maintaining his eligibility.

UC parted ways with Brannen earlier this month, hiring UNC Greensboro head coach Wes Miller to replace him. Miller agreed late last week to a six-year, $7.875 million deal to be the Bearcats' head coach.
