A South Carolina woman is giving a peek into her relationship with a "momma bear" that she says she's recorded in photos and videos for about a decade.Susie, who did not want to give her last name, said her family's property adjoins a wildlife area, and judging from the images she's recorded, momma bear considers it her property too.The most recent video shows the adult female nursing her three cubs under a tree in her backyard."I took the video from our sunroom, zooming in with my cell phone," Susie said. She said the video was taken on May 20, and "momma bear and kids" stayed in her yard for about an hour and a half. "When she brings her family to our home, she will often take a long nap in the shade in the woods while her cubs climb trees, romp and wrestle in the backyard," Susie said. She claims this particular bear has been visiting her home for about a decade."These three cubs bring the count (of offspring) up to at least 10 cubs that we’ve had the privilege of watching her raise," Susie said. Susie says the photos on her phone of the mothering bear go back to 2017, "but she’s been coming around much longer than that."She chronicled the years from her photos and videos like this:In 2017-2018, she raised 1 cub In 2019-2020, she raised 2 cubs In 2021-2022, she raised quadruplets"And these triplets are her latest batch, probably born in January," Susie said.Susie said she has learned several lessons from the bear and her cubs through the years, some of them more painful than others."After she booted those two cubs out on their own in 2020, I was outside one evening, and could hear the cubs crying for her," she said. "It was utterly heartbreaking to hear them bellowing for her. I pray those cubs have fared well since."She's also learned that they have to take down their bird feeders when momma and the cubs come around, "or they will tear up the feeders to access the birdseed," she said.Susie says her house is evidently in momma’s regular territory, because she comes by every few days with the family, often lingering in the backyard. "Of course, we never know when she’ll show up, but when she does, if we’re outside--as my hubby was over Labor Day weekend when he was painting the house--we simply come inside until she and the kids mosey on," she said."I have to admit, it’s been awfully cute to watch the cubs rock on our deck rocking chairs and play on our deck lounge chairs," she said.Susie said she and her husband have had some close encounters with the momma bear over the years, and have a healthy respect for her. "She will charge if she believes we’re too close to the cubs," she said.Still, she describes the relationship she and her husband have with the bear:"This bear is such a good momma, and she’s been visiting our yard for so long, that we consider her and her family as almost a part of our family. In no way do we regard her or her cubs as pets (she could take us out with one swipe of her paw), but I worry about their safety and regularly keep momma and her cubs in my prayers."

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – A camera captured the heartwarming moment a 90-year-old woman reunited with her husband after overcoming COVID-19.

Hooverwood Living in Indianapolis says Joyce spent about a month away from her love Don as she battled the coronavirus in their COVID-19 unit.

“I have to cry from happiness,” said Don as he reunited with his wife.

During the emotional reunion, staff helped Joyce get out of her wheelchair to give Don a long overdue hug.

In the video posted by the nursing home, Joyce can be heard saying “I look so terrible,” but her husband reassures her that she “looks so beautiful.” Joyce responds with, “how can you be so cute?”

The couple’s grandson, David Klaus, wrote in a Facebook post that Don is Joyce’s “true love of 67 years.”

“She and her beloved husband Don have been separated this whole time, which proved heartbreaking for us to witness their resulting loneliness and loss of hope at times,” wrote Klaus.

Klaus says his family lives down the street from the nursing home and they ride their bikes most days to speak to Joyce and Don through the windows to keep them company.

The New York attorney general is trying to break up the National Rifle Association over allegations of mismanagement and the abuse of member money.

Adam Winkler, a UCLA law professor who specializes in the Second Amendment, says this is just the start. The legal battle could go for another year or two.

If the NRA dissolves at that point, it would have a huge impact on American politics, but that doesn't mean the end of the gun debate.

“What happens is the resources of the NRA would be distributed in a way that is designed to match the donors' intent,” said Winkler. “And that means that money would go to gun rights organizations and would go towards fighting against gun control in most, most circumstances.”

Winkler says the NRA dissolving isn't the only potential outcome. The attorney general is also seeking less drastic repercussions, like removing certain in-house lawyers or board members. That includes Wayne LaPierre, the executive vice president.

We don't yet know exactly what evidence there is. Winkler says the AG’s case has at least one advantage, the NRA’s former public relations firm, Ackerman McQueen, is cooperating.

“And so, the attorney general is going to have on her side an insider who's seen everything that's happened in the NRA for the last three decades,” said Winkler. “I think the NRA is in big trouble.”

He says the lawsuit could also impact the November election by energizing pro-gun voters looking to support the NRA and the Republicans.

Winkler says it's also likely to mean less NRA spending compared to 2016.

Sam Boje knows a thing or two about flags. He noticed that the flag pole in his neighbor, Barbara Miller's yard hadn't flown a flag in a few years."The flag pole has really, basically for the last three years or so just been a flag pole there and I didn't know how to take it down or want to take it down," Miller said. "We've always had a flag there until he passed away four years ago...and I wasn't really wanting to mess with putting the flag up and down every day."Taking matters into his own hands, Sam started to raise a flag for Miller every morning.Sam's interest in flags really sparked when he started learning about them towards the end of his 5th-grade year. And that's when he started sharing what he learned with Miller. While nothing can bring Russ back, Miller knows his memory will always be honored, all thanks to Sam."Russ would be so tickled that the flag is flying again because he just loved it," she said."If you know your neighbor, then you know someone that will help you out if something happens," Sam said.Eventually, Sam said he wants to collect a flag from every country.
