May 5 was the Cincinnati Kayak Fishing 150 Mile Radius tournament, where you get to choose any public body of water within 150 miles of the Great American Ballpark in downtown Cincinnati, Ohio. I chose to go to Cedar Creek Lake in Kentucky, making the gamble that a longer drive to a lake with big fish would pay off... it did not. I placed 21 out of 33 people, catching a 10.50" and a 18.50" largemouth bass. I wish I knew where the top people fished, but they told me they were keeping it a secret.
