<p>Many weddings were canceled or postponed during the pandemic.</p>
<p>Now that more people are vaccinated, couples are back to planning their special day.</p>
<p>“Now that it’s a little more open and people are able to have their big weddings, we’re definitely seeing a surge of brides coming in,” said Allison Bailey, the operations manager at Winnie Couture in Atlanta.</p>
<p>But as brides rush in, it’s becoming harder for many to find a wedding dress.</p>
<p>Chloe Buckel who recently got married said, <b>“</b>I actually picked mine up two days before I had to fly out for my wedding.”</p>
<p>Michelle McFarland, President of the National Bridal Retailers Association said, “the manufacturers and the designers that are creating these beautiful wedding dresses all are experiencing supply chain issues.” </p>
<p>Some companies are changing their supply chain method just to keep up with demand.</p>
<p>The CEO of David’s Bridal, Jim Marcum told CNN the company is front-loading inventory production, so they can have them supply ready for customers in the U.S.</p>
<p>With shipping times slowing down by about 300% in 2022, couples are advised to start preparing everything for their wedding as soon as possible.</p>

A new Ohio health order eliminates a 300-person limit at the state's banquet halls. It's the latest move to ease coronavirus restriction as Ohio sees improving numbers and trends across the state. Ohio Department of Health Director Stephanie McCloud signed the new order Tuesday, amending a previous order that limited mass gatherings during the pandemic.Events at banquet centers no longer have a 300-person limitation, the order states, so long as they comply with other health orders. This applies to wedding receptions, funeral repasts, proms and other events – whether or not food is served – at banquet facilities. The new order went into effect Tuesday at noon. CLICK HERE TO READ THE FULL ORDER.Additionally, McCloud signed an order Tuesday allowing fans to return to the state's sporting arenas and other entertainment facilities. This was announced by Gov. Mike DeWine last week, but the amended order makes it official. That includes a 25% maximum indoor capacity and a 30% maximum outdoor capacity, provided they follow established precautions.Among those precautions include mandatory masks for spectators and employees; spectator pathways allowing for social distancing; and pods of seating with no more than six people per pod, separated by at least 6 feet.Related: Governor gives green light for fans at Ohio sporting, entertainment events

<p>Wedding planning is back on, and vendors are overwhelmed. Some planners are even reporting they've pushed bookings to 2023.</p>
<p>Grant-Humphreys Mansion, a popular venue in Denver, says the phone has been ringing off the hook.</p>
<p>"So all of a sudden, next year, my September and October, I don't have a single Saturday left," said Rita Rollman, the director at Grant-Humphreys Mansion. "I have never had that happen, ever. It's crazy awesome but crazy."</p>
<p>Another factor contributing to the surge in bookings for next year are the couples who had a small wedding early in the pandemic and now want a bigger one with family and friends.</p>
<p>"I'd say a good chunk of folks decided to go ahead and go to the courthouse or go to the top of a mountain and elope, and then bring the family and friends in when it was safe to do so," Rollman said.</p>
<p>She says most of her openings are in the near future. Many couples canceled weddings for this summer before the rollout of the vaccine.</p>
<p>"Maybe push up your timeline a little bit because I've got these amazing dates and we're putting them on sale," Rollman said. "It was because of that fear factor, (it) really caused a lot of folks to jump the gun prematurely. I don't blame them, you know, things were looking a little bleak, and they were nervous. And now everything's open."</p>
<p>For those having trouble booking vendors or looking to save money, Rollman suggests avoiding Saturdays. Other days of the week are less popular and don't get booked as fast.</p>
<p>She also says to consider an off-month — the summer and fall see the highest demand.</p>
