<p>Now that the conventions are over, what will happen next with the campaigns? </p>
<p><b>RALLIES &amp; TRAVEL TO SWING-STATES</b></p>
<p>In-person rallies in arenas do not appear to be happening this election season. </p>
<p>While Democrats have been skeptical about them for months, President Donald Trump's team has also accepted the reality of the pandemic in recent weeks. </p>
<p>That does not mean an end to travel however. </p>
<p>"The one thing I can guarantee you is the president will continue to travel to these states," Marc Lotter, a longtime aide to Trump and Vice President Mike Pence, said. </p>
<p>For now, Trump is planning on holding stops at airports, like today's visit to New Hampshire. Campaign aides also say he is open to more in-person visits to places like diners. </p>
<p>As for the Biden campaign, they are committed to virtually campaigning -- for now. </p>
<p>"We are keeping our supporters, our staff safe, but we are still getting the vice president’s message out to voters," TJ Tucklo told Scripps National Political Editor Joe St. George recently. </p>
<p>However, during a virtual fundraiser on Thursday, Biden hinted about getting out to swing states after Labor Day in a responsibly way. </p>
<div class="TweetEmbed">
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet">
<p lang="en" dir="ltr">During a fundraiser tonight, Biden talked about the possibility of safe campaign travel(!), post-Labor Day, mentioning WI, MN, PA, AZ. “What we’re working on is how I get out. I’m going to be traveling throughout the country where I can do it consistent with the state rules.”</p>
<p>— Ali Vitali (@alivitali) <a class="Link" href="https://twitter.com/alivitali/status/1299128929299697665?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw">August 27, 2020</a></p>
</blockquote>
</div>
<p><b>VOLUNTEERS </b></p>
<p>Trump and Biden vary differently when it comes to what they are doing with their volunteers. For instance in Michigan, the Trump campaign is continuing to knock on doors. The Biden campaign is not. </p>
<p>As a result, voters should continue to expect campaign text messages, email invitations to virtual speeches and more digital ads on their Facebook news feed. </p>
<p>The next major political event is the first presidential debate on September 29. </p>

					Efforts to protect and care for the most vulnerable during the pandemic expand Monday.CVS Health will start COVID-19 vaccination efforts at long-term care facilities in 36 more states, as vaccinations have already been underway in Ohio and Kentucky.At the same time, a man from Hamilton is pushing state lawmakers to allow family members to be essential caregivers in those facilities.He said it has been an emotional journey he never expected, but one he said many families are faced with right now."It was a year this past Christmas that my mother, you know, was able to, to be in my home," Scott Reynolds said.It was a tough holiday after an emotional year for Reynolds.He saw his mother, Francene, 75, through the glass at Berkeley Square in Hamilton.Reynolds said isolation due to COVID-19 restrictions caused his mother to deteriorate in the dementia wing, and that has limited her speech and what she will eat.He said she recently beat COVID-19, but it has had a lasting impact and hospice care is now by her side.Reynolds spoke directly to lawmakers in Columbus this month about allowing essential caregivers, such as family members, in long-term care facilities."Have you ever had to stand outside watching your mother cry for you and see a total stranger try to hug and console your mother? It was heart-wrenching. This is why House Bill 770 is so important," Reynolds said during a speech at the statehouse.Reynolds has been granted a few compassionate care visits to see his mother in declining health.He said she will be getting the COVID-19 vaccine CVS Health is administering in nursing homes.As those health care workers try to protect residents, Reynolds continues to push for more support."It's probably not going to help my situation but I just, you know, I have to look ahead where it could help somebody else's mother," he said.Reynolds said he will not be finished if House Bill 770 passes.He said he wants to take on reforming the laws when it comes to elderly care to make those laws better, safer and to make sure everyone is more prepared in case of another pandemic.

					President Joe Biden will be landing at the Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky International Airport by Wednesday afternoon preparing to take part in a CNN Town Hall in Delhi Township.It'll be the president's first visit to Cincinnati since he took office in January.The visit has created a bit of a buzz around the city, and people said there are topics they hope will be clearly addressed.The Brent Spence Bridge is at the top of the list for people in the city, as presidents have made promises before, but the bridge looks more bandaged up right now as it undergoes maintenance."We need it. It's long overdue," one man said.It has been an eyesore and a cramp in our commute."That's a concern every day regardless of who is coming to town," a woman told us.As Biden arrives in Cincinnati, people are hoping he will get a first-hand look and address the Brent Spence Bridge."It's really annoying, yeah," another woman we talked with said.They're also bracing for the motorcade madness."I think I'm going to have to get out of town by noon to beat the traffic," another man said.Biden is set to take part in the CNN Town Hall debate at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, speaking at Mount St. Joseph University, a Catholic university in Delhi Township.It is expected to tackle topics including infrastructure, the economy, COVID-19 and slowing vaccinations.People shared concerns about jobs, rising homicide rates, police reform and immigration."Some concerns about income inequality. I think that's becoming more obvious. Problems with people going back to work and people are really enjoying working from home," Ian Iliff said.In Delhi Township, students said Mount St. Joseph University is buzzing with interest as satellite trucks are staged on campus."It just gives us a chance to actually get to know... what's going on and what his plans are for the U.S., and like, what he can do for students in general," student Destiny Chambers said.When the president makes his first visit since taking office, people said they'll be watching for solutions, not speeches."I think it's really interesting to be part of a community that is so close to what is going on," Chambers said.The Archdiocese of Cincinnati released a statement regarding the visit:"Archbishop Dennis M. Schnurr has not been contacted by any involved party about the upcoming visit of President Joseph R. Biden to Cincinnati to participate in a CNN town hall meeting at Mount St. Joseph University. Archbishop Schnurr has therefore not been asked for, nor would he have granted, his approval for any such event to occur on Catholic premises. Mount St. Joseph University operates under the sponsorship of the Sisters of Charity and not under the direct oversight of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati."Mount St. Joseph University also released a statement regarding the visit:"We are humbled and honored that both CNN and the White House have recognized Mount St. Joseph University as an outstanding institution of higher learning that is capable and willing to host such an important event. The University has always been and will continue to be a diverse and inclusive place where people from different races, ethnicities, social backgrounds, beliefs, and religions can come together to discuss and share their unique perspectives. We look forward to introducing the Mount to a nationally televised prime time audience."
