NFL quarterback Tom Brady will become an NFL analyst when his playing career is over.

The seven-time Super Bowl champion has agreed to join FOX Sports as its lead analyst, the network announced Tuesday.

"Over the course of this long-term agreement, Tom will not only call our biggest NFL games with Kevin Burkhardt, but will also serve as an ambassador for us, particularly with respect to client and promotional initiatives," Fox CEO Lachlan Murdoch said. "We are delighted that Tom has committed to joining the Fox team and wish him all the best during this upcoming season."

Two months ago, in a shocking turn of events, Brady announced he is returning for his 23rd season less than two months after announcing his retirement from football.

Brady, 44, announced via social media that he will be looking to take care of "unfinished business" with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this season.

"These past two months I've realized my place is still on the field and not in the stands. That time will come. But it’s not now. I love my teammates, and I love my supportive family. They make it all possible. I’m coming back for my 23rd season in Tampa," Brady wrote.

The seven-time Super Bowl champion and five-time Super Bowl Most Valuable Player will be entering his third season with the Buccaneers after playing the first 20 years of his career with the Patriots, who drafted him with the 199th overall pick in the sixth round of the 2000 NFL draft.

On Feb. 1, Brady announced on social media that he would no longer be making the "competitive commitment" needed to play at a high level in the National Football League.

Brady's emotional statement specifically mentioned family, the league, his fans, the Buccaneers and others who played a role in his historic career. Notably, coach Bill Belichick, the Kraft family and the words "Patriots" and "retirement" were not mentioned in the statement.

"I have the greatest respect for Tom personally and always will," Patriots owner Robert Kraft wrote in a statement. "His humility, coupled with his drive and ambition, truly made him special. I will always feel a close bond to him and will always consider him an extension of my immediate family."

Brady won his first championship over 20 years ago in just his second NFL season, as he led the Patriots to an upset over the St. Louis Rams in Super Bowl XXXVI on Feb. 3, 2002.

He then led New England to back-to-back titles during the 2003 and 2004 seasons. In the process, the Patriots set an NFL record by winning 21 straight games between Week 5 of the 2003 season and Week 8 of the 2004 campaign.

After a decade, Brady and the Patriots won three titles in a five-season span from 2014 to 2018. He led two incredible Super Bowl comebacks against the Seattle Seahawks (Feb. 1, 2015) and the Atlanta Falcons (Feb. 5, 2017), the latter of which marked the greatest comeback in Super Bowl history.

Brady's final championship with the Patriots came against the Rams, who relocated to Los Angeles, in Super Bowl LIII on Feb. 3, 2019.

TB12 left New England in free agency after the 2019 season and joined the Buccaneers in March 2020. Former Patriots star tight end Rob Gronkowski teamed up with Brady in Tampa and they were both instrumental in leading the Bucs' 31-9 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs that season. Brady claimed his fifth Super Bowl MVP trophy in the process.

Brady's final season ended with a heartbreaking loss to the Rams in the divisional round of the playoffs last weekend.

Patriots fans did get a chance to show their appreciation to Brady this season when he and the Buccaneers visited New England in Week 4. Tampa Bay won 19-17 at Gillette Stadium.

In his illustrious career, Brady has earned three NFL regular-season MVP awards (2007, 2010, 2017) and earned his record 15th Pro Bowl selection this season. In 2021, he led the NFL with 43 touchdown passes and a career-high 5,316 passing yards.

Brady is the NFL's all-time leader in passing yards (84,250), passing touchdowns (624) and completions (7,263). He also holds multiple all-time playoff records, including 13,049 passing yards and 86 passing touchdowns in postseason play.

SCARBOROUGH, Maine — A rare football card featuring Tom Brady just sold for $118,000 at an auction in Maine.

The 2002 Topps Finest X-Fractor card features Brady the year he won his first Super Bowl. It was just one of 20 cards featuring Brady after his first Super Bowl win on February 3, 2002.

Brady was a starter with the New England Patriots at the time. The winner of the card was not named. The live auction wrapped up Monday, before Brady officially announced his retirement Tuesday.

Brady has said in his podcast, “Let’s Go”, his favorite Super Bowl was when his team beat the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl XLIX.

Collectible cards for Brady are going up in value right now.

A pair of signed rookie football cards sold for $2.25 million and $3.1 million in 2021.

Tom Brady's future in the NFL is uncertain.

ESPN's Adam Schefter and Jeff Darlington, Brady reported Saturday that Brady is retiring after 22 years in the league.

However, Brady did not make an official announcement.

In a statement to Schefter, Brady's agent said, "I understand the advance speculation about Tom's future. Without getting into the accuracy or inaccuracy of what's being reported, Tom will be the only person to express his plans with complete accuracy. He knows the reality of the football business and planning calendar as well as anybody, so that should be soon."

About an hour after Brady's agent released that statement, The Associated Press reported that Brady told the general manager of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers that he has not made a decision about whether he will retire.

Brady's quest for another Super Bowl victory came up short this season. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost last week to the Los Angeles Rams in the Divisional Round of the playoffs.

Brady, 44, is widely regarded as the best quarterback in NFL history.

He has seven Super Bowl victories. His most recent win came last year with Tampa Bay. He has six more Super Bowl wins with the New England Patriots.

He was named MVP of the league three times and holds numerous records in the NFL.

Brady has thrown for more than 84,000 yards; 624 touchdowns; a career completion percentage of 64.2 percent; winning 243 games while losing just 73 in regular-season play.

Brady was the 199th pick in the 2000 NFL Draft.

TAMPA, Fla. (WFTS) — When Tom Brady puts in a request, it gets done. On Twitter, the Tampa Bay quarterback asked cryptocurrency platform, FTX, to give a bitcoin to the fan who returned a special game ball.

“Yeah, it’s a done deal as far as we’re concerned. Just a super gracious act on the part of Tom. And obviously, that ball was extremely significant for sentimental and historical reasons really," said FTX US head of partnerships, Sina Nader.

Pinellas County Dr. Bryon Kennedy got the ball when Mike Evans handed it to him Sunday. Evans didn't realize it was Brady’s historic 600th career touchdown pass.

Kennedy gave the ball back with promises of autographed jerseys, season tickets, and more. But now, FTX says he’s also getting a bitcoin, valued at more than $62,000.

Brady joked with the Manning brothers about the deal during Monday Night Football.

“Byron lost all his leverage when he gave up the ball. He should've held it," said Brady.

"If he would have held it, he would have been sitting in the Tom Brady suite for the rest of the season. Amateur move on his part," said Peyton Manning.

Brady and his wife Giselle each got a stake in FTX in exchange for becoming ambassadors for the company that’s reportedly worth $20 billion.

Experts estimate put the value of the football anywhere from $500,000 to $750,000 if it had gone to auction.

TAMPA, Fla. — A Tampa homeowner says it's a story he'll one day tell his children.

For Tom Brady it was, at the most, an embarrassing moment. But for David Kramer it was much more than that. In fact, it even helped him sell his house.

Kramer will never forget one April day in 2020 when Tom Brady — new to Tampa having just signed to a new team for the first time in his 20-year career — broke into his house.

“Who can say that?" Kramer asked. "Who can say Tom Brady accidentally walked into their house."

Kramer was confused as a tall, shadowy figure opened his front door.

“He didn’t scare me because he just looked so nice and he walked in with such confidence that it was just like he belonged there," Kramer said.

It doesn’t hit either of them at first.

“And he goes, ‘What's up man?’ he just looked at me and I just go, ‘I don't know man, you tell me,'" Kramer recounted.

It turns out Brady was looking for the home of Byron Leftwich, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' offensive coordinator. Kramer happened to be Leftwich's neighbor.

Brady quickly realized he was in the wrong house.

“He had this look on his face like terror, like, ‘Oh my god I did it again,'" Kramer said.

"Did it again," because Brady had recently been booted from a closed Tampa park. The internet joked the former Boston-resident was now officially a "Florida Man."

It then clicked in Kramer's head why the stranger's face seems so familiar.

“I want(ed) to yell his name and be like Tom, Tom, Tom! I couldn't get it out," said Kramer.

The homeowner says none of his family or friends even believed him until the story blew up. The strange and brief encounter even helped him sell his house.

“[The realtor] said, 'this is the house Tom Brady walked in on,' and she did use that and it did sell," he said.

Kramer cheered on Brady and the Buccaneers Sunday as the quarterback won his seventh Super Bowl.

“Tampa's fired up...I've never seen the town like this," he said.

Kramer wants Brady to know there are no hard feelings. If the "GOAT" ever has the time Kramer, says he’d love to know what Brady thought in that awkward moment.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady is considered to be the greatest NFL quarterback of all time.

And throughout his 20-year NFL career, he has made some unbelievable throws.

But the toss Brady made on Wednesday while celebrating with his team of winning the Super Bowl will probably be the most impressive one yet.

While out on a boat during the Buccaneers’ championship boat parade, Brady was shown holding the Lombardi Trophy on his boat during the parade.

But tight end Rob Gronkowski, who was on another boat, wanted to hold the trophy, so Brady threw it over the water and onto the boat behind him.

Gronk is seen catching it.

The Bucs were out celebrating their win over the Kansas City Chiefs by having players ride on boats during a parade celebration due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Tom Brady isn't going anywhere.

According to the NFL Network and ESPN, Brady signed a four-year contract extension that voids to a one-year extension, which has him tied to the reigning Super Bowl champions through the 2022 season.

On Friday, the quarterback took to social media to let everyone know he was ready to chase his eighth Super Bowl title.

According to ESPN, the move saves the Bucs $19 million of salary-cap space this year.

Brady won his seventh Super Bowl championship last month, leading Tampa Bay past the Kansas City Chiefs 31-9.

At 45, Brady is now the oldest player in NFL history.
