I APPRECIATE YOU COMING IN. YEAH, RIGHT ON YOUR WEEKEND. I KNOW YOU’D BE ENJOYING THE WEATHER TODAY CONTRIBUTING. I KNOW YOU ARE YOU ARE IT’S GOT TO DO THE SHOW SOMETIMES BY YOURSELF. SO I APPRECIATE THAT. ABSOLUTELY. AN D SO, YOU KNOW IF YOU DO HEAD OUTSIDE TODAY, IT’S SO FUNNY. I WAS JTUS TALKING WITH HER DIRECTOR AND THE ALLERGIES. BACK, IT’S ALMOST LIKE THE SPRING HAS BEEN NONSTOP OF JUST LIKE THE POLLEN AND FINALLY AT LEAST YOU CAN PLANT THE FLOWERS IN THE GARDEN WITHOUT HAVING TO WORRY OF THEM FREEZING. THAT’S GREAT. RIGHT? I’MUR SE GARDEN CENTERS HAD A BANNER WEEKEND ON MONDAY. OH SUNDAY WITH MOTHER’S DAY AND THIS WEEK EVERYONE WHO IS A LAWN PERSON IS GONNA BE OUT THERE MAKING SURE THAT THEIR LAWN IS YEAH JUST GORGEOUS RIGHT HACKERS ARE GOING RIGHT. WHAT’S THAT THING? I’M LIKE, THAT’S HOW YOU ED YOUR YARD SON. YEAH, MY SON. HUSBAND HAD A BET ON THE NFL DRAFT. THAT’S RIGHT. ANDO S AUSTIN NOW OWES JOHN A DAY FULL OF MULCHES. TEMPERATURES THAT WOULD BE GREAT TO GET OUTSIDE, RIGHT? THIS IS OUR LONGEST STRETCH OF TEMPERATURES INHE T 80S SO FAR AND OUR LONGEST DRY STRETCH OF THE YEAR AS WELL. SO FAR THIS YEAR. I THINK WE’VE HAD TWO DIFFERENT STREAKS OF FIVE DRY DAYS IN A ROW. IT SHOULDN’T BE A NOVELTY BUT THIS YEAR IT IS. SO WE’RE STARTING DATOY. A STRETCH OF TEMPERATURES IN THE 80S THAT WILL LAST INTO THE START OF THE WEEKEND SO FIVE OR SIX DAYS UP INTO THE 80S AND AS FAR AS RAIN GOES CURRENTLY THE RECORD IS FIVE DRY DAYSN I A ROW FOR 2022 AND IT LOOKS LIKE WE WILL STRAIGHTEN TOGETHER SIX DRY DAYS WITHHE T RAIN RETURNING AGAIN FOR US ON SATURDAY. AND OF COURSE SATURDAY A DAY WHERE A LOT OF PEOPLE HEADED DOWN HERE TO PAUL BROWN STADIUM TO SEE THE SECOND NIGHT OF THE CARTH BROOKS SHOWS. IT’LL BE 61 DEGREES WHEN YOU STEP OUTDESI TSHI MORNING, OUR TEMPERATURES CLIMBING VERY QUICKLY INTO THE 70S. IN FACT, CHECKUT O WHERE WE ARE BY LUNCHTIME TODAY ALREADY 76, WHICH WAS YESTERDAY’S HIGH AND THEN INTO THE LOW 80S THIS AFTERNOON SIX O’CLOCK THIS EVENING STILL SITTING AT 80. SO ON THE LIVE RADAR RHTIGOW N THINGS ARE VERY QUIET HIGH PRESSURE STILL SITTING IN CONTROL TO OUR SOUTH THAT BRINGS WINDS OUT OF THE SOUTH DRIVING OUR TEMPERATURES UP AND WHILE WE’RE SITTING IN THE LADIES THERE ARE SPOTS IN THE CENTER OF THE COUNTRY THAT WILL SEE THE 90S TODAY. WE’LL WARM UP A FEW DEGREES, BUT I’M GNAON HANG IT OUT LOW 80S AND LOADS OF SUNSHINE FOR THE WORK WEEK. AS FAR AS THE OHIO RIVER THAT IS CONTINUING TO CLIMB AGAIN RHTIG NO AWROUND 47 FEET EXPECTED TO CREST WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON, 2 O’CLOCK OR SO AROUND 49 AND A HALF FEET AND THEN DROP BACK BELOW ACTION STAGE DURING THE DAY ON FRIDAY. OBVIOUSLY THE IMPACTS MAINLY AROUND RIVERBEND AREAS NEAR KELLOGG. CALIFORNIA, OHIO, THERE WAS AN IMPACT ON THE CONCERT THAT WAS SUPPOS TEDO BE AT RIVERBEND TONIGHT. IT GOT PUSHED TILL NEXT TUESDAY FOR TAYOD 81 DEGREES SUNNY SKIES A WARMER DAY, AND THEN YOU’LL NOTICE TSEHO OVERNIGHT LOWS. THEY’RE NOT CHILLY AT ALL. IN FACT TONIGHT ONLY DROPPING DOWN TO 62 TOMORROW A SUNNY DAY 83 WE GET INTO THURSDAY. WE’RE AT 82 FRIDAY 80. LET’S TALK ABOUT THE WEEKEND BECAUSE RAIN DOES RETURN KIND OF LATE ON SATURDAY SOME SCATTERED RAIN MAY BE A RUMBLE OF THUNDER AFRTE ABOUT SEVEN OR EIGHT O' ’CLOCK SUNDAY. THE DAY RIGHT NOW WHERE WE’RE LOOKING AT THE POTENTIAL FOR SOME STRONGER STORMS MIDDLE THE AFTERNOON ON SUNDAY. THEN RNAI THAT WILL LGEIN

Stay weather aware if you have outdoor plans today. We start out quiet but that changes for the afternoon.FOLLOW LIVE RADAR//ALERTS It will be hot today with highs in the upper 80s. We'll see some muggy sunshine for the first part of the day, but that will eventually lead to the development of numerous scattered storms. Those first storms start up around 2 to 3 p.m. today, mainly west of Cincinnati and the Ohio state line. They become more numerous through the afternoon and will begin moving east. Some storms will likely be severe, especially along and northwest of I-71. Expect a lot of lightning, heavy rain, gusty winds and hail. The tornado threat is low, but not zero. The severe threat ends by 8 p.m. tonight.A rain threat will linger through noon at the latest tomorrow before it turns drier and cooler. It will be cooler Sunday with highs around 70 and will come in tandem with lower humidity. Our stormy pattern continues next week, too. We're comfortable dry Monday and Tuesday, but that ends Wednesday with rain and storms.A 'watch' means there is the potential for severe weather.A 'warning' means that severe weather has been reported by spotters or indicated by radar. Warnings indicate imminent danger to life and property. Take shelter in a substantial building.Counties under a tornado warning:Fayette (Indiana) Franklin (Indiana)Prebble (Ohio)The warning is set to expire at 5:00 p.m.Counties under a thunderstorm warning: Boone (Kentucky)Butler Dearborn (Indiana) GallatinHamiltonRipley (Indiana)Switzerland (Indiana)Union (Indiana) The warning is set to expire at 7:00 p.m.

MCDONALD’S STUFF. I THINK YOU’LL SEE. OH, NO, I DIDN’T KNOW. OKAY. WELL, SRYOR ABOUT THAT. I’M CURIOUS NOW. ALL RIGHT. ALL RIGHT, RANDY. LET’S TALK. WE’RE GONNA GET MORE YESTERDAY WAS SUPER COMFORTABLE. IT WAS NICE. I WALKED TO THE GYM. I WALKED HOME. IT WAS VERY IT SWEATY, WHICH WAS A NICE. IT WAS GREAT, RIGHT? YEAH TRYING TO GET MY STEPS IN. YEAHES YTERDAY DIDHE T SAME THING THE KID A SON HAD TO BE THE GAME OF AN HOUR BEFOREHAND. ISO WENT ANDAN R AND SAID, THAT’S GREAT. IT WAS KILLING. IT WAS BEAUTIFUL OUTSIDE PACKING. IT WASN’T HUMAN. OTHERWISE YOU GUYS UNTIL THE WEEKEND. I WON’T BE DOING ANYTHING. SO WE HAD A NICE DRY DAY YESTERDAY FOR MOST OF US RIGHT TODAY. WE’LL B DERY AS WELL AND THEN WE ARE POTENTIALLY LOOKING AT ENOUGH WET WEATHERO T SKYROCKET US TO THE WETTEST MAY OF ALL TIME. NO WAY EVENTUALLY YOU SAID WE WERE DONE WITH RAIN. AND ONLY FOR TODAY AS WE LOOK AT WHAT’S COMING OUR WAY TODAY A BEAUTIFUL SPRGIN DAY GETTING THIN BGSACK ON TRACK TO WHERE WE SHOULD BE. WE’LLE B BACK INTO THE 70S TOMORROW RAIN AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE BACK. IN FACT, I THINK WE SEE AT LEAST A LITTLE BIT OF RAIN IN THE MORNINGND A THEN MAYBE A MIDDAY BREAK BEFORE THE POTENTIALOR F STRONGER STORMS INTO THE AFTERNOON, AND THESE WILL BE THOSE SOAKERS THAT WE SAW THE LAST COUPLE OF DAYS OVER THE WEEKEND WITH THE INTENSE RAINLLFA GDOO BIT OF LIGHTNING. THURSDAY RAIN IS LIKYEL GENERALLY JUST PLAIN OLD RAIN MAYBE. BUBBLES OF THUNDER IN THERE BUT OVER THE COURSE OF THAT 48 HOUR TIME FRAME FROM WEDNESDAY TO THURSDAY. WE COULD EASILY PICK UP INCH AND A HALF TO TWO AND A HALF INCHES OF RAIN TOTAL RIGHT NOW. IT IS 54 DEGREES IN CINCINNATI OUR WINDS OUT OF THE NORTHEAST AT EIGHT MILES AN HOUR AND AS WE LOOK AT THE 12-HOUR FORECAST, YOU’LL ENJOY THAT SUNSHINE THROUGH THE MORNING WARMING INTO THE UPPER 60S BY LUNCHTIME AND A FEW MORE CLOUDS SECOND HALF OF THE DAY AS TEMPERATURES HEAD INTO THE MID UPPER 70S. HERE’S THE LIVE RADAR THINGS ARE QUIET. TODAY GOOD, BUT A SUNSHINE EARLY MORE CLOUDS INTO THE EVENING AND THEN BY TOMORROW MORNING RAIN IS HERE NOW YOU CAN SEE EARLYN O JUST A FEW PASSING SHOWERS. I THINK WE SEE A MORE SIGNIFICANT LINE OF RAIN AT SOME POINT DURING THE MORNING RUSH THAT LINE LIFTS NORTH AND THEY’LL BE A LITTLE LOW WHETHER THAT’S EXACTLY AT NOON OR BEFORE A LITTLE AFTER I THINK THERE’S A LITTLE BREAK AND THEN BY MID-AFTERNOON YOU’RE GONNA SEE THOSE POP UP DOWNPOURS THAT PRODUCE A LOT OF LIGHTNING AND INTENSE RAINFALL AND THAT WILL AS WHEE AD INTO THE EVENING HOURS AS WE ROLL ON THROUGH THE OVERNIGHT RAIN CONTINUES AND WE’LL SEE RAIN SHOWERS ALL DAY THURAYSD TODAY 76 DEGREES. SUNNY EARLY CLOUDS LATE, AT LEAST IT WILL BE COMFORTABLE AND IT DOES STAY DRY AS WE TAKE A LOOK AT THE FORECAST FOR TONIGHT DROPPING DNOW TO 62 CLOUDY AND COMFORTABLE AND THEN YOUR SEVEN-DAY FORECAST SHOWS FOR TOMORROW A WEATHER IMPACT DAY 83 DEGREES WITH ROUNDS OF RAIN AND THUNDERSTORMS. IT’S NOT A TOTALLY WASHOUT, BUT TIMING OUT THE BRAKES IN BETWEEN THE ROUNDS OF RAIN. IS STILL TRICKY EVEN A DAY OUT THURSDAY EXPECT RAIN SHOWERS 81 SCATTERED RAIN, EVEN ON FRIDAY AND TPEEMRATURES A LITETL BIT COOLER THERE BUT CHECK OUT THE END OFHE T WEEKEND SPECIFICALLY SUNDAY MONDAY FOR MEMORIAL DAY. THAT’S WHEN THE HUMIDITY IS UP AND TEMPERATURES BACK IN THE MID

AND NOON TO 9:00 TOMORROW. >> I LOVE CAN OLI. >> WITH COFFEE AND AT 5:00 IN THE MORNG.IN >> WHAT STORES WOULD BE OPEN RIGHT NOW. >> I LOVE THE IT LAN FOOD. LET TALK ABOUT THE WEATHER BECAUSE TODAY IS ACTUALLY GOING TO BEHE T BEST OF THE TWO DSAY TO GO TO ITALIAN FEST IF YOU ARE WANTING TO HEAD OUT. >> WATCHOR F STORMS TOMORROW. BUT TIMES OF DRY SKIES AS WE START OUT YOUR SUNDAY TOMORROW. MOST OF TODAY WILL BE NICE AND QUIET. WE HAVE AREAS OF PATCHY FOG THIS MORNING, A FEW BREAKS IN THE CLOUDS AS WE START OUT THE DAY. MOST OF US WILL BERE PTTY QUIET AS WE GO THROUGH THE DURATION OF YOUR SATURDAY. A COUPLEF O SHOWERS STREAMING THROUGH FROM NORTHWEST TO SOUTHEAST. A DISTURBANCE COMING THRGHOU THE AREA TSHI MORNING. WE HAVE SEVERAL THROUGH THE NEXT WFE DAYS. A COUPLE ISOLATED SHOWERS BETWEEN THE 71-75 SPLIT. AND SEEING LIGHT SHOWERS TO BEGIN OUR SATURDAY. TODAY WE'RE LOOKING AT A HIGH OF 78. CLOUDS AND SUNSHINE, WE'LL SEE MORE SUNSHINE FOR THE FIRST PART AND CLOUDS THICKEN BACK UP AGAIN ALONG WITH STRAY SHOWER CHANCES AS YOU HEAD INTO THIS AFTERNOON. A BIT WARRME TODAY TOO. TEMPERATURES AGAIN NEAR 80. TONIGHT MID S,60 RUMBLES OF SHOWERS AND OVERALL WARM AND MUGGY. I'LL SHOW YOU WHAT TODAY LOOKS LIKE. YOU CAN SEE SPOTTY SHORSWE HEADING TOWARDS 9:00 AND SOUTH AND WEST. THERE'S SOME BREAKS. AND THEN A FEW MORE CLOUDS REDEVELOPING LATER THIS AFTERNOON WITH SPOTTY SHOWERS. SO WE'RE GOING TO SEE THOSE BETWEEN 3:00 AND 6:00. FEW DAN FAR BETWEEN BUT AFTER SUNSET AND INTO THE OVERNIGHT HOURS YOU'RE LOOKING AT OPPORTUNITIES FOR SCATTERED RAIN SHOWERS, MAYBE SOME RUMBLES OF THUNDER AS YOU GO PAST MIDNIGHT, 5:00 IN THE MORNING TOMORR.OW SEEING SOME GOOD POCKETS OF SHOWERS AND STORMS. WE'LL HAVE A RELATIVELY DRY WINDOW FOR SOME MORETORPS S POP UP INTO TOMORROW AFTERNOON. WEATHER IMPACT DAY FOR TOMORROW TEMPERATURES INTO THE HIGH 80S. HUMIDITY INCREASES TOMORROW AS WELL. THERE IS A CHANCE FOR STRONRGE STORMS TOMORROW. WE'LL HAVE TO WATCH THAT AS IT SHAPES UP BUT POTENTIAL IS THERE FOR TOMORROW AFTERNOON FOR AT LEAST A FEW STRONG TO SEVERE STORMS. SO FUTURE CAST FOR TOMORROW MORNING SHOWING US HIT AND MISS SHOWERS TO START OUT THE DAY. TIMES OF SUNSHINE I THINK A FEW STORMS REDEVELOPING AS YOU HEAD PAST 2:00, 3:00 IN THE AFTERNOON THERE'S AEW F OF THOSE THAT AGAIN COULD BE STRONG AS YOU HEAD TOWARDS THE EVENING HOS.UR WE'LL SEE HOW IT DEVELOPS SUNDAY INTO MONDAY SOME MODSEL ARE DRY SOME BRINGG AIN FEW STORMS IN BUT THE POTENTIAL IS THERE FOR AT LSTEA A FEW MORE STORMS SUNDAY NIGHT INTO MONDAY. SO WE'LL HAVE TOATCH W THAT CLOSELY THAT COULD ALWAYS CHANGE AS WE HEAD THROUGH THE NEXT 24 HO URS BUT MORE OF A SRYTO LOOKING VERY ACTIVE AS WE HEAD INTO THE EARLY PART OF THE WEEK. FOR MONDAY TOO, MONDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENGNI AN OPPORTUNITY FOR STORMS. I THINK STORMS COULD BE STRONG WITH GUSTY WINDS. TUESY,DA WEDNESDAY, IT'S GOING BTOE DRY. THAT IS THANKS TO THE HEAT TTHA WE'RE GOING TO BE EXPERIENCING. D MI90S FOR HIGHS. IT WILL FEEL LIKE OVER

THERE VIA APPLE PAY. WILD ISN’T THAT WILD WE WERE TALKING ABOUT THIS EARLIER. YEAH, AND I MEAN, OF COURSE I WOULD GIVE UP MY SEAT. OH, I WOULD LOSE. PICK ME. YEAH. YOU KNOW WHAT YOU GOTTA NEGOTIATE WITH THEM. YES, BECAUSE LEGALLY IN THEIR CONTRACT IT SAYS IF THEY OVERBOOK ONE OF THEIR FLIGHTS THEY HAVE TO PAY YOU AT LEAST FOUR TIMES A ONE-WAY FARE. YEAH, BUT SO MANY PEOPLE WERE SAYING NO, I’M NOT GOING TO TAKE THAT FOUR TIMES IN MAL, WHICH IS SO INTERESTING. THEY JUST HAVE TO KEEP RAISING THE BAR. YEAH. I KNOW WHICH WHICH MAKES YOU REALIZE I THINK PEOPLE REALLY VALUE THEIR VACATION. YEAH FREE TIME. YEAH, THAT’S A GREAT POINT. YES, AND YOU KNOW WHAT? LET’S SAY YOU’RE VACATIONING HERE IN CINCINNATI. WELL, WELCOME WELCOME. YOU YEAH, A LITTLE HUMID. WE’VE GOT NICER WEATHER MOVING IN THOUGH FOR THE SECOND HALF OF THE DAY AT LEAST IN THE WAY HUMIDITY. YEAH, WHICH IS GOOD. WE MAY SEE A COUPLE OF STRAY POP UP SHOWERS AND STORMS BUT A GOOD CHUNK OF THIS DAY WILL BE DRY, WHICH IS GREAT NEWS IF FOURTH OF JULY PLANS TODAY. I KNOW WE ALL LIKE THE WEATHER TO COOPERATE AND I THINK THAT’LL BE THE CASE FOR MOST SOUTH DEARBORN YOU WERE SEEING THOSE STORMS THIS MORNING. THAT IS NOT THE CASE RIGHT NOW ARE STILL UNDER THE SUNSHINE SOME CLOUDS OUT THAT WAY AND IT LOOKS LIKE A PAVEMENTS DRIED OUT TOO. SO THINGS LOOKING A LITTLE BIT BETTER AT YOUR WAY. AT OUR LIVE RADAR SHOWING DRY SKIES FOR EVERYBODY. WE STILL HAVE SOME CLOUDS A LITTLE FURTHER SOUTH OF THE OHIO RIVER SO STATIONARY FRONT SETTLED OUT THAT WAY WHICH I’LL SHOW YOU HERE IN A SECOND THAT WILL KEEP THE CLOUDS AN OPPORTUNITIES FOR A FEW SHOWERS AROUND HERE AS WE HEAD THROUGH THE NEXT FEW HOURS. MOST OF WHAT’S BEEN COMING ALONG THIS FRONT TO THE WEST THAT’S FALLEN APART CAN’T ROLL OUT A COUPLE OF SPRINKLES, BUT AS WE HEAD TOWARDS THE AFTERNOON THE HEAT OF THE DAY THIS FRONT HERE IS ESSENTIALLY GOING TO WORK AS A RAILROAD TRACK FOR THE SHOWERS. THEY’RE JUST GONNA FOLLOW THAT FRONT. SO I WOULD SAY THE BEST CHANCE OF SEEING SOME SPOTTY SHOWERS A FEW STORMS. TODAY WOULD BE A LONG AND SOUTH OF THAT FRONT AND WHAT’S WE’RE GOING TO SEE HERE ALONG IN SOUTH OF THE FRONT TOO IS MORE HUMID AIR. IT’S PRETTY STICKY IN CINCINNATI AND POINTS SOUTH OF THAT BUT NOTICE SOME DRIER AIR FILTERING IN FROM THE NORTH HERE. SO LESS HUMAN CONDITIONS. I DON’T THINK EVERYBODY SEES THIS TODAY, BUT IF YOU LIVE NORTH OF CINCINNATI NORTHWEST YOU WILL NOTICE A DROP IN THE HUMIDITY HERE IS WE HEAD THROUGH TODAY, WHICH IS GOING TO BE FANTASTIC IF YOU’RE OUTSIDE AT ALL THIS EVENING I THINK IN COMFORTABLE DAY WE DO GET PRETTY WARM THIS AFTERNOON TEMPERATURES RIGHT AROUND 87 DEGREES SO A BIT HOT IN SOME AREAS AND CERTAINLY FEELING HOW WE’RE SEEING MORE HUMIDITY AND THEN FOR TONIGHT ABOUT 70 NOT QUITE AS STICKY AS THE LAST COUPLE OF NIGHTS AND OVERALL, MOSTLY CLOUDY AND DRY. SKIES WILL BE AN ABUNDANCE HERE. SO AS WE PROGRESS THROUGH YOUR SATURDAY NOTICE A COUPLE OF OPPORTUNITIES FOR HIT AND MISS SHOWER TOO. I WOULD SAY MORE SPRINKLES AT THIS POINT, BUT IT’S AFTER THREE O’CLOCK THAT WE’RE REALLY LOOKING AT MORE OPPORTUNITIES FOR A COUPLE OF HIT AND MISS SHOWERS, MAYBE. FULL OF THUNDER BUT NOTICE HOW THEY JUST SET UP RIGHT ALONG IN SOUTH OF THAT FRONT. THEY’RE GOING TO BE FEW AND FAR BETWEEN SO A LOT OF US ARE GOING TO BE NICE AND DRY ACTUALLY THINK WE SEE SOME SUNSHINE THIS AFTERNOON, SO THAT’LL HELP US HEAT UP. AND THEN HERE WE ARE AT ABOUT 9 9 30 MOST FIREWORKS DISPLAYS GET STARTED NICE AND QUIET. SO THAT’S SOME GOOD NEWS THERE. I THINK A LITTLE BIT OF CLOUD COVER. WE’RE GONNA BE LOOKING AT THOSE CLOUDS TO STAY WITH US FOR GOOD CHUNK OF TONIGHT. I THINK SEEING SOME SUNSHINE FOR THE FIRST HALF OF TOMORROW TEMPERATURES RIGHT AROUND 89 SO SLIGHTLY WARMER THAN TODAY AND NOT QUITE AS HUMID. I THINK THE HUMIDITY REALLY HOLDING OFF UNTIL THE EARLY WEEK SO IT GETS A LITTLE BIT STICKIER FOR THE FOURTH OF JULY. I THINK WE WILL SEE SOME SCATTERED STORMS. THAT DAY TEMPS WILL WILL BE IN THE 90S WEATHER IMPACTING. TUESDAY WITH SOME VERY LIKELY STORMS AND THEN JUST A FEW OPPORTUNITIES THROUGH THE MIDWEEK AND IT LOOKS LIKE WE PICK UP THOSE CHANCES AGAIN FOR THURSDAY AND FRIDAY HEATS THE STORY THIS WEEK UNSETTLED WEATHERS THE STORY THIS WEEK, BUT YOU KNOW WHAT MEGAN IT’S NOT GONNA BE A WASHOUT WEEK. THAT’S WHAT I’M

MUCH. IF YOU ARE JUST TUNING AND, WHAT A WEATHER DAY WE HAVE HAD. DRIVING IN AROUND 2:30 TODAY OVER DOWNTOWN CINCINNATI, YOU CAN JUST SEE THE DARK, DARK CLOUDS AND THEN IT HIT. THE WIND, THE HEAVY, HEAVY RAIN AND WE ARE STARTING TO SEE THE DAMAGE FROM AFTERNOON STORMS. MIKE: MAYBE ABOUT 45 AND ITS AGO AS WE STARTED HEARING MOST OF THE EMERGENCY CALLS. WE HEARD SKINNER TRAFFIC AND YOU HAVE TO WATCH WITH A SITUATION LIKE THIS. KEVIN SAID WILL NOT GET INFORMATION OF THE POTENTIAL TORNADO IN GOSHEN FOR QUITE SOME TIME BUT PEOPLE CLAIMED THEY HEARD ENTIRE NATO -- I’M GETTING WORD FROM A VIEWER NAMED ELITE WHO I KNOW VERY WELL OUT OF THE GOSHEN AREA THAT THE AREA ALONG 28 WHERE THERE IS A SKYLINE RESTAURANT, THERE’S ALL KINDS OF DESTRUCTION THERE. 101,000 CUSTOMERS RIGHT NOW WITHOUT POWER. WE ARE TALKING ABOUT A QUARTER OF A MILLION PEOPLE IN GREATER CINCINNATI. WE ARE GETTING ALL KINDS OF PHOTOS OF ALL KINDS OF AREAS INCLUDING LOVELAND WHERE YOU SAW MAJOR BIG THESE DOWN. >> JEFF TAYLOR WAS PRESAGING US PLEASE SEND US ANY DAMAGE OR VIDEO YOU SEND US ANY PICTURES, HELP US TELL THE STORY THERE WHERE THEY HAVE THESE BIG, BEAUTIFUL TREES, WITH POSSIBILITIES FOR DAMAGE AROUND THE KROGER OUT THERE IN LOVELAND AS WELL. LIKE WE SAY, ONE OF THE HARDEST HIT AREAS IS GOSHEN. OUR REPORTER, DANIEL DIDN’T DAC, HAS BEEN -- DANIELLE DINDAK, IN LIVE DRIVE 5. I DON’T KNOW IF YOU ARE IN GOSHEN, YET, BUT GIVE US AN IDEA OF WHAT YOU ARE SEEING. DANIELLE: THE DRIVE OUT HERE, I CAN’T STRESS THIS ENOUGH, HAS BEEN VERY DANGEROUS. ON THE WAY HERE WE HAVE SEEN A LOT OF SNAPPED TREES, ROADS WITH WATER ON IT. WE ARE ABOUT ONE HOUR AWAY FROM WHERE WE ARE GETTING REPORTS THAT MULTIPLE PEOPLE ARE TRAPPED IN A MOBILE HOME PARK. DRIVING HERE WE HAVE BEEN STUCK IN STANDSTILL TRAFFIC AND WE SAW A LOT OF EMERGENCY VEHICLES ZOOMING PAST US WITH DIFFERENT AMBULANCES COMING THE OPPOSITE WAY. AS YOU CAN SEE, KIND OF STANDSTILL TRAFFIC AS WE MAKE OUR WAY TO GOSHEN. IN THAT MOBILE HOME AREA WE ARE GETTING REPORTS OF A LOT OF ENTRAPMENT’S AND WE WILL MAKE SURE TO UPDATE YOU GUYS ON WHAT WE SEE. MIKE: ALL RIGHT, DANIELLE ABOUT ONE MILE AWAY FROM REPORTS WHERE THERE ARE REPORTS OF PEOPLE TRAPPED IN A MOBILE HOME PARK. AGAIN, WE ARE ASKING YOU TO HELP TELL THE WEATHER STORY. NEWS DESKS@WLWT.COM, WE LIKE TO LET PEOPLE IN KNOW, GIVE THEM A WARNING. 2:30, THREE :00, THE WITCHING HOUR WHEN EVERYTHING WAS GOING ON YOU WERE GETTING CALLS FROM POLICE SOURCES ABOUT SOMETHING THAT COULD HAVE BEEN VERY DANGEROUS IN CINCINNATI. SHEREE: IT SOUNDED LIKE A BARGE BROKE LOOSE AND WAS HEADED TOWARDS THE BRENT SPENCE RIDGE. -- PAGE. THERE WAS A HUGE CONCERN --. -- BRIDGE. TODD, GIVE US AN IDEA, WHAT WERE YOU SEEING BEHIND YOU, THERE? TODD: A REAL DOOZY OF A DAY. I’M STEPPING OUT OF THE WAY SO MY VIDEOGRAPHER, HENRY GRIFFITH, CAN SHOW WHAT WE ARE SEEING RIGHT NOW. JUST TO THE WEST OF THE BRENT SPENCE BRIDGE, TOWARDS NORTHERN KENTUCKY, YOU CAN SEE THE REMNANTS OF ONE SECTION OF A BARGE. I UNDERSTAND WE’RE WERE -- AS I UNDERSTAND WHAT HAPPENED, ANOTHER VESSEL WAS HEADED UPRIVER AND WHAT THE SITUATION LOOKED LIKE AS WE CROSSED TO GET INTO POSITION, THERE WAS ANOTHER SECTION OF THE BARGE I NOTICED THAT EXTENDED FURTHER TOWARDS THE OHIO RIVER. THAT WAS 25, 30 MINUTES AGO. FROM WHAT I UNDERSTAND I WAS ABLE TO REACH OUT TO THE COVINGTON POLICE DEPARTMENT AND GOT SOME GOOD INFORMATION THERE AND IT APPEARS THAT THE TUG THAT I SAW TOOK THE ONE SECTION PROTRUDING SIDEWAYS INTO THE RIVER, MANAGED TO GET IT AWAY AND INTO SAFETY, WHEREVER IT NEEDED TO BE, AND WHAT WE ARE LOOKING AT NOW APPEARS TO BE THE OTHER SECTION OF THE BARGE THAT IS PROPERLY MOORED TO THE SHORELINE ON THE OHIO SIDE. CONVOLUTED WITH TWO MOVING PARTS, APPARENTLY. PRESUMABLY THE STORM MUST HAVE SENT IT SIDEWAYS BUT IT WAS NOT THE KIND OF SCENE YOU WANT TO SEE HEADED WEST, KNOWING THAT THE BRENT SPENCE MIGHT HAVE TO BE SHUT DOWN ON -- AT SOME POINT BECAUSE OF A BARGE ON THE LOOSED -- LOOSE. THE LIEUTENANT I SPOKE TO INDICATED THAT THINGS ARE UNDER CONTROL NOW, GOOD NEWS CONSIDERING THE TENS OF THOUSANDS OF COMMUTERS THAT RELY ON THE BRIDGE DAILY. LOOKS LIKE WE HAVE AVOIDED WHAT WOULD HAVE BEEN THE LATEST HEADACHE. LOOKS LIKE THAT TOW BOAT IS JUST CRUISING BACK TOWARDS THE SAWYER POINT AREA, HEADED UPSTREAM. CERTAINLY MOMENTS OF DRAMA REACHING OUT TO THE COAST GUARD AND THE KENTUCKY DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION AND OH. AS WELL, GOING TO REACH OUT TO CINCINNATI FIRE IN A SECOND. THIS IS ALL DEVELOPING REALLY QUICKLY. THE KEY TAKE AWAY IS THAT THE NEWS SEEMS TO BE ENCOURAGING AND THINGS ARE NOT AS BAD AS WHAT WE FIRST BOUGHT THEY COULD HAVE BEEN. SHEREE: TODD, THANK YOU FOR THE UPDATE. A BUSY AFTERNOON AND THE THING IMPACTING SO MANY OF YOU ARE THESE POWER OUTAGES. DUKE ENERGY CONFIRMING 100 ONE HOMES AND BUSINESSES, CUSTOMERS, WITHOUT POWER RIGHT NOW AND THIS IS JUST A COUPLE OF WEEKS AFTER THEY WERE DEALING WITH 100 AND 60,000 POWER OUTAGES. MIKE: 75,000 IF YOU LOOK AROUND THE METRO AREA, 25,000 IN NORTHERN KENTUCKY. LET’S BRING KEVIN ROBINSON BACK IN. LET’S TALK MORE ABOUT THE SITUATION IN GOSHEN. YOU DON’T GET CONFIRMATION ON TORNADO UNTIL THE EXPERTS COME IN, BUT A LOT OF PEOPLE SAID THEY SAW SOMETHING TOUCH DOWN JUDGING FROM REPORTS OF DISRUPTION IT APPEARS LIKELY. -- DESTRUCTION IT APPEARS LIKELY. KEVIN: IT APPEARS THAT WE DID HAVE A BRIEF BUT INTENSE TORNADO FOR A FEW MINUTES. IT’S RARE AND IT DOESN’T HAPPEN OFTEN BECAUSE FOR THE MOST PART THESE ARE RUN-OF-THE-MILL SONOROUS STORMS BUT OCCASIONALLY IF YOU CAN GET ENOUGH AOUND REES TO INTERACT, YOU WILL GET THAT ONE AND A THOUSAND CHANCE FOR A SPIN UP TORNADO AND THAT’S BASICALLY WHAT HAPPENED. TALKING ABOUT WHAT OCCURRED HERE, ADAM IS TAKING US BACK ON THE RADAR. HERE’S THE COMMUNITY, GOSHEN. NOTICE BEFORE WE WERE DEALING WITH NASTY THUNDERSTORMS, RIGHT? THERE IS A BOUNDARY IT SEEMS RIGHT IN HERE AND WATCH WHAT HAPPENS, TAKE IT FORWARD AND YOU WILL NOTICE ALL OF A SUDDEN THERE SEEMS TO BE SOME KIND OF CIRCULATION THAT HAS COME TOGETHER AND YOU GET A BRIEF TORNADO THAT TRAVELED THROUGH, I SHOULD SAY, UNCONFIRMED TORNADO AT THIS POINT. IN ALL LIKELIHOOD IT SOUNDS LIKE TORNADO, HERE. MOVING TOWARDS CLERMONT COUNTY FROM GOSHEN TO THE NEWTON’S AREA. NOTICE THAT WE LOSE THE TIGHT CIRCULATION? IT’S ONLY THERE FOR A FEW MINUTES AND THEN IT BECOMES MORE BROAD AND WE GET THE POTENTIAL FOR STRONG WINDS. TRANSITIONING WHAT WAS -- AWAY FROM WHAT WAS IN ALL LIKELIHOOD A BRIEF TORNADO TO STRAIGHT-LINE WINDS AS IT WORKED ITS WAY TO THE EAST. NOW WHAT WE HAVE HAPPENING FOR THE REST OF THE AREA IS WE ARE STILL DEALING WITH SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS. PARTICULARLY FOR THOSE OF YOU OUT HERE IN PARTS OF HIGHLAND COUNTY DOWN INTO ADAMS COUNTY. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ARE IN EFFECT AND WE ARE STILL DEALING WITH STRONG WIND. YOU CAN SEE HOW FAR AHEAD OF THIS LINE OF STORMS THE WEATHER SERVICE IS. STILL DEALING WITH SEVERE WEATHER AND SEVERE WIND. NO TORNADO WARNINGS BUT DOWN HERE IN MAYSVILLE, THE STRONG WIND IS RIGHT ON TOP OF YOU AT THE MOMENT. WANT TO CHECK ON THAT VELOCITY FOR A MOMENT? CAN WE GET AN ESTIMATE ON THE WIND SPEEDS? YES, ON THE LEADING EDGE, KEEP IN MIND THAT BECAUSE WE ARE STAYING FURTHER AWAY FROM THE ACTUAL RADAR SITE, REMEMBER THE EARTH IS CURVED AND ONCE IT GETS FARTHER AWAY YOU SEE HIGHER UP INTO IT. WE ARE SEEING WIND IS STILL ON THE ORDER OF 40 TO 50 MILES PER HOUR WITH THIS. SO THERE IS PROBABLY STILL ENOUGH TO BRING DOWN TREES AND BRANCHES, RESULTING IN SPOTTY POWER OUTAGES AROUND THE AREA. I’M FAIRLY CONFIDENT BUT WE WILL FIND WORKING OUR WAY THROUGH THE EVENING IS THAT THE GOSHEN EVENT WAS ONE OF THOSE RARE OCCURRENCES WHERE EVERYTHING CAME TOGETHER TO SUPPORT TORNADIC ACTIVITY BUT ALL IN ALL THESE ARE DAMAGING STRAIGHT-LINE WINDS THAT WE ARE MOST CONCERNED ABOUT THIS AFTERNOON AND RIGHT NOW THE WORST OF IT IS MOVING THROUGH THE PEOPLE’S COMMUNITY ALMOST OUT OF HIGHLAND COUNTY. LET’S TALK ABOUT THOSE FOLKS THERE. PAST YOU AT THE MOMENT, YOU CAN SEE HERE HOW WE HAD BROAD CIRCULATION. BROAD CIRCULATION HELPING TO DRIVE THESE STRONGER WINDS THROUGH THE REST OF HIGHLAND COUNTY AND ADAMS COUNTY AS WELL. ADAM, ARE YOU GETTING ADDITIONAL REPORTS FROM THE WEATHER SERVICE ? ADAM: TREES DOWN, WIND DOWN IN THE REGION AS WELL WITH MINOR TREE DAMAGE AND OBVIOUSLY GOSHEN BEING THE WORST OF IT. WE HAD ONE REPORT FROM HIGHLAND COUNTY OF A GUST OF 47 MILES PER HOUR CONFIRMED IN THE AREA NEIL -- NEAR HILLSBORO WHEN THE STORM WAS MOVING THROUGH EARLIER. OBVIOUSLY WE HAVE BEEN SEEING RADAR ESTIMATES HIGHER. TALKING ABOUT THESE RADARS GETTING FURTHER AWAY, HIGHER INTO THE STORM. STRONG WIND IS STILL THERE AND WE STILL NEED TO BE ON THE WATCH FOR THAT AND LIGHTNING, KEVIN. KEVIN: THANK YOU, I’M GOING TO SEND IT BACK TO THE TASK. GUY’S I’M SURE THE INFORMATION IS POURING IN FAST AND FOOT FURIOUS WITH WHAT’S HAPPENING IN THE GOSHEN COMMUNITY. FROM THE WEATHER STANDPOINT FOR THE FOLKS WONDERING WHAT’S HAPPENING, STRONG WIND IS THE CONCERN IN ADAMS COUNTY. FOR ANY OF Y

RIGHT RIGHT NOW. EXCUSE ME FOR CINCINNATI’S MOST ACCURATE FORECAST. YEAH. WE’RE LOOKING AHEAD TO AT LEAST A COUPLE OF SHOWERS TODAY. IT’S A SOUTH DEARBORN RIGHT NOW. WE HAVE BLUE SKIES OVERHEAD LITTLE BIT OF A BREEZE AS WE START OUT THE DAY, BUT NOTHING LIKE THE RAIN THAT WE SAW IN YESTERDAY. IN FACT EVERYONE WAKING UP TO DRY SKIES HERE THIS MORNING, THAT’LL BE THE PICTURE FOR US FOR ANOTHER COUPLE OF HOURS. I WOULD SAY THROUGH THE MIDDAY. THAT’S WHAT WE’RE GONNA START TO SEE OUR BEST CHANCES FOR AT LEAST A COUPLE OF POP-UP SHOWERS, MAYBE A THUNDERSTORM OR TWO, BUT UNTIL THEN, MOISTURE CONTINUES TO SURGE IN WE HAVE LOW PRESSURE JUST OFF TO THE WEST AND THAT’LL KEEP THOSE SOUTH WINDS IN PLACE TODAY COLD FRONT BEHIND THAT WHICH IS GOING TO BE SLOW MOVING INTO THE EARLY PART OF THE WEEK. SO STAYING ACTIVE FOR TODAY TOMORROW AND EVEN INTO TUESDAY, I THINK MONDAY TUESDAY GONNA BE OUR STORMIER DAYS OF THE NEXT FEW NOW FOR TODAY WE GET TO 87 THAT’S GONNA BE OUR HIGH BUT IT’S GONNA FEEL MORE LIKE THE MID 90S WHEN YOU FACTOR IN ALL OF THAT HUMIDITY SPOTTY STORMS AT BEST AS GO THROUGH TODAY THIS MODEL THINKS WE’RE HAVE STORMS HERE IN THE NEXT COUPLE OF HOURS. JUST COMPARING OVER THE LAST FEW HOURS HOW THIS MODEL IS DOING I WOULD SAY THE BEST BET FOR SOME WET WEATHER WOULD BE AROUND MIDDAY IN THE HOURS FOLLOWING SO BETWEEN NOON AND THREE LEAST A COUPLE OF POP-UP SHOWERS, MAYBE A DOWNPOUR TO AND THEN BETWEEN THREE AND SIX ADDITIONAL SPOTTY SHOWERS, BUT THE TREND AS WE GO PAST SIX O’CLOCK AND INTO AROUND 9:00 9:30 TONIGHT. IT’S GOING TO BE DRYING SKY, SO WE’RE GONNA SEE LESS SHOWER COVERAGE QUIET AS WE HAVE THROUGH THE OVERNIGHT HOURS. EVEN GETTING RID OF A GOOD CHUNK OF THE CLOUDS TONIGHT AS WELL. I WOULD SAY PARTLY CLOUDY FOR TONIGHT, BUT SOME OF US MAY ACTUALLY BECOME MOSTLY CLEAR FOR A TIME VERY MUGGY WITH TEMPERATURES RIGHT AROUND 71 AND THEN FOR TOMORROW, WE HAVE 89 FOR THE HIGH, BUT IT’S GOING TO FEEL MORE LIKE THE MID 90S WITH CONTINUED HUMIDITY FAR MORE STORM COVERAGE FOR TOMORROW AS WELL. SO WE’VE GOT A WEATHER IMPACT DAY IN PLACE. THAT’S THE CASE FOR TUESDAY. I THINK TUESDAY THOUGH GOING TO BE. STORMIER OF THE TWO DAYS TEMPERATURES WILL BE IN THE MID 80S THAT DAY LOW 80S ON WEDNESDAY WILL HAVE A FEW SHOWERS BEFORE NOON THEN THURSDAY, FRIDAY AND SATURDAY OR WEATHER STARTS TO IMPROVE SO YOU’RE GOING TO NOTICE A DROP IN HUMIDITY ON WEDNESDAY, BUT BY THURSDAY AND EVEN INTO FRIDAY AND SATURDAY, VERY PLEASANT HUMIDITY LEVELS AND SOME COMFORTABLE TEMPERATURES TOO I

EXCITED FOR THAT. IT COULD BE LIKE YOU SAID, VERY SPECIAL FOR A LOT OF FOLKS WHO ARE GOING TO BE THERE. WE HERE AT HOME, RAMPING UP FOR FOOTBALL AND EVERYTHING ELSE, WE’VE GOT A MONDAY WITH A LITTLE BIT OF RAIN. KATIE: NOT THE NICEST START TO THE WEEK, A LITTLE HUMID. GET IT OUT OF THE WAY, AND IN THE MIDDLE TO LATE PART OF THE WEEK, IT IS GOING TO BE BEAUTIFUL. CURRENTLY, WE’VE GOT SOME SPOTTY, LIGHT RAIN MAY BE NORTHEAST OF CINCINNATI AND SOME HEAVY DOWNPOURS AND THUNDERSTORMS AROUND FORT WAYNE, INDIANA. WE ARE GOING TO BE IN AND OUT OF SAID ISOLATED DOWNPOURS, SHOWERS AND STORMS. I THINK A LOT US PRETTY QUIET, LOOKING AHEAD TO SCATTERED AFTERNOON STORMS. TEMPERATURES AROUND 88 TODAY AND IT IS CERTAINLY GOING TO FEEL WARM AND YOU FACTOR IN THE INTENSE HUMIDITY. FOR TONIGHT, WE ARE NOT GOING TO GET RID OF THE RAIN AND STORMS. IT CONTINUES THROUGH THE OVERNIGHT HOURS. TEMPERATURES FALL INTO AROUND 71, SO WARM OVERNIGHT ONCE AGAIN. FIGURE SEVERE THREAT AROUND CHICAGO AND PLACES FURTHER NORTHWEST OF THE VIEWING AREA, BUT AS FOR US, WE COULD SEE A HANDFUL OF STORMS PRODUCED SOME GUSTY WIND TODAY. THE BIGGER PROBLEM IS GOING TO BE FOR HEAVIER RAINFALL THAT OCCURS DURING THE DAYTIME. THAT COULD SET US UP FOR SOME LOCALIZED FLOODING TODAY. SENDING TO BE AWARE OF, THE POTENTIAL FOR THAT AFTER 12:00 THIS AFTERNOON, THAT IS WHEN THE STORMS ARE GOING TO START TO POP UP. MOSTLY DRY THROUGH THE MORNING, A COUPLE OF ISOLATED SHOWERS POSSIBLE AS WE START OUT. I WOULD SAY BETWEEN NOON AND THE CLOCK IS GOING TO BE A BETTER WINDOW FOR SCATTERED STORMS. AROUND 3:00 HERE, STARTING TO THINK ABOUT GETTING THE KIDS FROM SCHOOL, MAYBE HAVE SOMEWHERE TO BE AFTER WORK, WE ARE GOING TO START TO SEE WIDESPREAD STORMS CONTINUE THROUGH THE EVENING DRIVE TONIGHT. WE’RE GOING TO HAVE A LINE OF STORMS COMING OUT OF THE NORTHWEST THAT WILL DROP INTO THE AREA, BUT IT WILL BRING US MORE WET WEATHER HEADING THROUGH THE OVERNIGHT. FOR TOMORROW, WE HAVE 86 FOR THE HIGH. HUMIDITY WILL BE DROPPING WHEN WE GET RID OF THE RAIN AND THUNDER, SOMETIME BETWEEN NOON AND 2:00. WE GOT WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY AND FRIDAY WITH GREAT HUMIDITY LEVELS. TEMPERATURES ARE GOING TO FALL BACK INTO THE 70’S AND LOW 80’S, SO A REALLY PRETTY STRETCH OF WEATHER. WE ACTUALLY STAYED LIGHT INTO THE WEEKEND. THE LAST OFFICIAL WEEKEND OF SUMMER, WE’

IT’S NOT CLEAR WHEN THEY MAY GO OUT AGAIN AND LOOK FOR BAKER. STEVEN: TAKING A LOOK ON YOUR FORECAST ON THE NINTH DAY OF JANUARY. KATIE: WEATHER IS GOING TO GET A LOT MORE ACTIVE FOR THE LAST PART OF THE WEEK. AS WE HAD TO THE EARLY PART OF THE WEEKEND. FOR NOW WE ARE GOING TO HAVE SUNSHINE. MARK CLOUDS BUT THE CLOUDS WILL START TO ERODE AS WE HEAD THROUGH THE NEXT COUPLE OF HOURS. OUR CITY CAMP SHOWING A MIX OF CLOUDS AND SUNSHINE AS WE LOOK OVER THE OHIO RIVER AND DOWNTOWN YOU CAN SEE SOME OF THE CLOUD BREAKS BEHIND THE BANNER BUT THAT WILL BE THE PICTURE FOR US AT LEAST FOR ANOTHER HOUR SO AT LEAST UNTIL MOST OF THE CLOUDS COME OUR WAY. CURRENTLY SITTING AT 35 DEGREES. WINDS 25 MILES PER HOUR. BREEZES NOT COMING ANYWHERE AND WILL FEEL COLD AS WE HEAD THROUGH THE AFTERNOON. 43 FOR THE HIGH, WE WILL HAVE THE AFTERNOON SUNSHINE AND THAT WILL CARRY RIGHT INTO THIS EVENING. PARTLY CLOUDY SKIES INTO THE OVERNIGHT HOURS. TEMPERATURES DROPPING TO JUST BELOW FREEZING. FUTURECAST FOR TODAY WILL SHOW THE SUNSHINE AS YOU HEAD TOWARDS 2:00, 3:00 THIS AFTERNOON NOTICE HOW MOST OF US HAVE MAINLY SUNNY SKIES. TONIGHT, MAYBE A COUPLE OF PASSING CLOUDS AS WE HAD THE TONIGHT. MOST OF US HERE LOOKING A LITTLE BIT BETTER THAN WE HAVE BEEN SEEING IN RECENT NIGHTS SO NOT QUITE AS CROWDED AS OF LATE. STARTING OUT WITH SOME SUNSHINE AND SCATTERED CAUSE FOR TUESDAY. WARMER AIR IS GOING TO START COMING IN FOR TUESDAY AFTERNOON. MAYBE A SPRINKLE OR SHOWER AS THE WARM AIR APPROACHES THE AREA. WE COULD SEE A FLURRY OR TWO MIXING IN WITH SOME OF THE COOLER TEMPERATURES IN THE MORNING. SPOTTY SHOWERS, MAINLY BETWEEN 12:00 AND 3:00. NOTICE THEY ARE FEW AND FAR BETWEEN. WE WILL BE BACK UNDER A PARTLY CLOUDY SKY AS WE HEAD TOWARDS TUESDAY EVENING. NOT A BIG DEAL, IT’S NOT GOING TO RUIN YOUR ENTIRE DAY. I THINK TEMPERATURES WILL BE MOSTLY WARM TOMORROW. AGAIN, CHANCES FOR A SPRINKLE OR MAYBE A STRAY SHOWER. WE COULD SEE A FLURRY OR TWO VERY EARLY ON BEFORE THE TEMPERATURE IS REALLY START TO JUMP AS YOU HEAD TOWARDS THE TEE TIME HOURS. DESCENT WARM UP AS WE HEAD INTO WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY. I THINK SCATTERED SHOWERS WILL ARRIVE ON THURSDAY. 55 OR THURSDAY, WE WILL SEE SOME THUNDERSTORMS TO START OF THE DAY. THAT WILL TURN INTO A WINTRY MIX AND POTENTIALLY LIGHT SNOW BY FRIDAY MORNING. WE DO HAVE LIGHTS NEVER THE FORECAST FOR FRIDAY. JOY ON SATURDAY PLAYO

KELLY: WHAT? STEVEN: IN FEBRUARY? THAT MAKES ZERO CENTS. KATIE: I AM COOL WITH IT. STEVEN: THAT DOES NOT MAKE ANY SENSE BUT I AM COOL WITH IT. KATIE: REALLY NICE AND THEN WE GET BACK UNDER SOME STORMY SKIES FOR THURSDAY. IT LOOKS LIKE IT WILL RAIN RIGHT NOW, BUT CLOUD COVER IS REALLY THE ONLY CONCERN WITH TEMPERATURES STAYING FAIRLY MILD THROUGH THE DAY. AROUND 59 TO 60 WITH CLOUDS AND SUN CONTINUING THROUGH THE EVENING AND SCATTERED RAIN AT THE -- OPPORTUNITIES THROUGH 7:00 AND 8:00. ISOLATED SHOWERS CONTINUING THROUGH ABOUT MIDNIGHT. BREAKING DOWN THE VALENTINE’S DAY. THE LUNCH DATES HAPPENING IN THE MID-50’S AND THEN ANY KIND OF AFTERNOON WALKS AND OUTSIDE TIME THAT YOU WANT, SUN AND CLOUDS. 50 DEGREES FOR THE HIGH AND THEN DINNERS LOOK LIKE SCATTERED SHOWERS AND ESPECIALLY FOR THOSE ONES HAPPENING AFTER SUNSET. MAYBE BRING THE UMBRELLA AND RAIN JACKET AND IT DOES NOT LOOK TO BE AN ISSUE UNTIL 9:00 OR 10:00. 51 FOR THE OVERNIGHT LOW. THE RAIN ENDS ABOUT MIDNIGHT. SOME OF US COULD BE WARMER BECAUSE WE WILL HAVE MOSTLY CLOUDY SKIES AND WINDY CONDITIONS. GUSTS INCREASE 40 TO 45 MILES AN HOUR THROUGH TOMORROW. FUTURECAST THROUGH TONIGHT AND INTO TOMORROW SHOWS THE CLOUD COVER TODAY WITH A FEW SHOWERS POSSIBLE AS EARLY AS 8:00 AND BETWEEN 9:00 AND 10:00, LIGHT TO MODERATE RAINFALL. NOTHING TOO HEAVY AND FEW AND FAR BETWEEN WITH THE RAIN OPPORTUNITIES. AT MIDNIGHT MOST OF THOSE SHOULD BE BEHIND US AND WE ARE LOOKING AT CLEARING SKIES TOWARDS WEDNESDAY MORNING. SUNSHINE AND THEN FULL ON SON TOMORROW -- SUN TOMORROW AFTERNOON. WINDY BUT THE TEMPERATURES WILL BE GREAT. YOU CAN TURN THE HEAT OFF AND OPEN THE WINDOWS. 71 FOR THE HIGH TWO DEGREES SHY OF A RECORD. HERE IS THE WIND ADVISORY GOING INTO EFFECT AT 4:00 IN THE MORNING WEDNESDAY AND LASTS FOR 12 HOURS. GREATER CINCINNATI IS INCLUDED. WE COULD HAVE GUESTS APPROACHING 50 MILE -- GUSTS APPROACHING 50 MILES AN HOUR. BRING IN THE LOOSE OBJECTS BECAUSE THEY WILL DEFINITELY BE DOWN THE STREET TOMORROW AFTERNOON. THURSDAY, WE WILL BE DRY BUT WINDY. THURSDAY COULD BRING UNSETTLED WEATHER. THE STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS THE ENTIRE VIEWING AREA UNDER A SLIGHT RISK OF SEVERE WEATHER WHICH IS A TWO ON A FIVE SCALE. WE COULD SEE SCATTERED AND SEVERE STORM OPPORTUNITIES AND ALL THREATS ARE POSSIBLE. A FEW TORNADOES WITH GUSTY WIND OUT OF SOME OF THE STORMS. THAT IS WHY WE HAVE A WEATHER IMPACT DAY ON THURSDAY FOR THE AFTERNOON AND EVENING HOURS AND THAT IS SOMETHING THAT WE WILL KEEP YOU UPDATED ON. 67 DEGREES WITH WIND RETURNING INTO FRIDAY. A FEW FLURRIES IN THE MORNING. 42 DEGREES AND STAYING COOL AND SEASONAL, AND SUNNY. AND THEN BACK TO ANOT

JOINING US JOINING ME HERE KATIE DONOVAN AND KATIE. WE’RE NOT SEEING A WHITE CHRISTMAS. WE ARE SEEING A WET AND SOGGY AND WARM CHRISTMAS. YEP, AND WE LOVE IT. YEAH, WE LEOV IT. I DON’T MIND IT. I KNOW A LOT OF YOU ARE HOPING FOR A WHITE CHRISTMAS. WE DID HAVE SOME SNOW LAST YEAR TEMPERATURE OF 18. SOE' WR’ JUST DOING I’M HOPING TO BREAK SOME RECORDS. YEAH. I’M HOPING SO TOO. WE WERE SAYING THAT IF GOING TO BE WARM IN DECEMBER. I WANTED TO BE LIKE RECD ORWARM. YEAH, WE’RE GONNA BE BREAKING RECORDS IF IT’S GOING TO BE WARM IN DECBEEMR SO IT CAN BE ALL OR NOTHING WE CAN HAVE WINTER WE CAN HAVE JUST CRAZY OUT OF CONTROL MILD AIR. SO LIVE LOOK AT LEBANON RIGHT NOW IF YOU’RE WINAKG UP OUT THAT WAY MERRY CHRISTMAS. THANKS SO MUCH FOR TUNING IN NOW. YOU’VE GOT A L OOTF CCKLO COVER IN YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD ALONG WITH SOME RAIN SHOWERS. SO RAIN COMING DOWN IN THE LEBANON AREA. IT’S PRETTY LIGHT RIGHT NOW, BUT WE HAVE BEEN SEEGIN SOME WAVES OF HEAVIER RAINFALL ACROSS THE THIS MORNING LIVE RADAR SHOWING THE LKBU OF THAT NORTH OF CINCINNATI. YOU’VE GOT SOME SPOTTY SHOWERS TO THE ETAS THOUGH THROUGH ADAMS COUNTY PLACES UP INTO HIGHLAND COUNTY BROWN COUNTY SEEING SOME LIGHT RAINFALL AS WELL. YOU MIGHT HAVE SOME POCKETS OF LOCALLY MODERATE RAINFALL NTHOR AND EAST OF HILLSBORO PLACES AROUND CLINTON COUNTY SEEGIN SOME HEAVIER SHOWERS AROUND SABINA AND THEN BACK TOWARDS KINGMAN LITTLE LOCALLY HVYEA WNDOPOUR THAT’S GONNA CROSS 71 THERE NORTH OF WILMINGTON AND ENTH FURTHER EAST OR WEST I SHOULD SAY WE’VE GOT ONGOING SHOWERS. SPRINGBORO INTO THE OREGONIA AREA SO LOCALLY MODERN RAINFALL AND THAT TREND CONTINUES TO FURTHER WEST YOU GO HERE SOUTH OF MIDDLETOWN SGIN A PRETTY GOOD LITTLE SHOWER HERE THAT JUST PASSED THROUGH TRENTON PLACES AROUND COLLINSVILLE STARTING TO SEE LESS RAIN AS THE HEAVIER ACTITYVI MESOV EAST OF YOU AREAS AROUND FAYETTE AND UNION COUNTY IN INDIANA SEEING SEOM STEADIER RAIN SHOWERS. THAT’S MAINLY AROUND LIBERTY PLACES DOWN TOWARD BROOKVILLE WNO GETTING OUT OF THAT RAINFALL. SO YOU’RE JUST SEEING SOME SPRINKLES IN YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD TODAY. WE'R’T A A HIGH OF 66 AND IF WE REACH THAT, WHICH I THINK WE WILL WE’RE GOING TO ATTIRE RECORD HIGH FOR TODAY. SO SOME UNSEASONABLE WARMTH FOR THIS TIME OF THE YEAR BREEZY CONDITIONS WITH SOME GUSTS AROUND 2250- MILES PER HOUR. MAYBE SOME LOCALLY HIGH GUESTS TO 30 THEN THROUGH TONIGHT. I THINK WE SRTTA TO DRY THINGS OUT SO LOOKING AT MOSTLY CLOUDY TO CLOUDY SKIES TEMPERATURES RIGHT AROUND 41 DEGREES YOUR FUTURE CAST THROUGH THE REST OF THIS AFTERNOON SHOWS THOSE HIT AND MISS LIGHT SHOWERS IF WE CAN GET INTO INTO ENOUGH OF A BREAK IN THAT. ALL I THINK WE DO HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO WMAR TO THE MID-60S TODAY. SO LOOKING AT THE OPPORTUNITY FOR SOME VERY MILD AIR HERE. THEN WE’RE GOING TO BE SEEING SOME CHANCES FOR ANOTHER ROUND OF SEOM LOCALLY MODERATES YOU HEAVY SHOWERS EVEN SOME RUMBLES OF THUNDER BETWEEN ABOUT THREE AND SIX SO THAT’S ROLLING THROUGH THIS AFTERNOON ANYTIME AFTER 6. WE’RE GONNA START TO DRY. OUT SO BACK UNDER THE MOSTLY CLOUDY SKIES. I THINK ALL YOU’D BE SEEING AT ISTH POINT WOULD BE A LINGERING SPRINKLE. SO THE BULK OF THAT WOULD BE BEHIND US. AND FOR TOROMROW LOOKING AHEAD TO OHIO 55 MOSTLY CLOUDY TO PARTLY SUNNY AND THEN ANY KIND OF RAIN THAT WE’RE SEEING IS GOING TO BE MOVING IN AFTER NINE O’CLOCK IN THE EVENING. SO GOOD NEWS FOR THE BENGALS FORECAST. TOMORROW TAILGATE TIME LOOKS GOOD. WE’VE GOT 47 IN MIX OF CLOUDS AND SUNSHINE KICKOFF LOOKS DRY WITHEM TPERATUSRE IN THE 50S YOUR 74 FORECAST BRINGS MORE RAINFALL FOR TOMORROW NIGHT AND THEN INTO MONDAY HIGH OF 67 THAT’S GOING TO BE CLOSE TO ANOTHER RECORD AGAIN. SO CONTINUING WITH THIS UNSEASONABLE WARMTH TREND THEN INTO TUESDAY. INSTEAD WE’VE GOT SOME WEATHER IMPACTS IN PLACE DUE TO SOME STUDY OR RAIN SHOWERS COOLING OFF AND CLEARING

BOONE COUNTY, Ky. — Boone County Emergency Management tested its storm sirens Wednesday after a failure during last week's severe weather.

The National Weather Service said a tornado touched down in Petersburg Friday night. Storm sirens are designed to alert those who are outdoors to take cover, but people who live in the area said they did not hear them.

“And we had a house full of bed and breakfast guests,” said Jen Warner. “Some were in, and some were out. And I was out here working with the horses.”

Warner runs First Farm Inn on Stevens Road. That’s where the storm blew roofs off homes and tore down trees.

NWS said the tornado was on the ground from 9:09 to 9:14 p.m. and traveled 2.8 miles. Wind speeds maxed out at 90 miles an hour, making it an EF1 tornado.

The Boone County Sheriff’s Office said the fiscal court is responsible for sounding the storm sirens. Staff said they tried to sound the alarm, but it did not work.

The county posted online: “A malfunction was immediately detected that prevented the sirens from sounding.”

Emergency management director Mark Ihrig said the vendor that supplies the system came out to check it Wednesday, at which point inspectors did not find anything wrong.

Ihrig said the county tests the system the first Wednesday of each month unless the weather is questionable outside. Staff did not want to confuse the public by sounding an alarm when storms could be passing through.

IIn June, the county did not test the system because of questionable weather, Ihrig said. The last test was performed in May.

WCPO 9 First Warning Weather meteorologist Raven Richard said, typically, sirens alert people when tornado warnings are active. That means radar spotted rotation.

“If there’s a tornado warning in your county, absolutely, go to your safe place. That’s not something to wait around with. That’s actually take action. A watch is like get ready to take action,” said Richard.

You can download the WCPO Storm Shield app on your phone to get alerts automatically. You can also set up alerts on a weather radio available at retail stores.
