RADAR. OTHERWISE, RAINFALL IMPACTS AS WE GO THROUGH TOMORROW. I’M KEEPING AN EYE ON THE LOW IT. AS I MENTIONED, WE’LL STILL HAVE A FEW ISOLATED SCATTERED SHOWERS, MAYBE A RUMBLE OF THUNDER, BUT OVERALL, NOT AS IMPACTFUL AS WHAT WE SAW TODAY. AND THEN WE GO INTO A PRETTY DRY STRETCH EVEN WEDNESDAY. I HAVE ON THE LOW END, BUT IT’S REALLY FOR KIND OF LATE EVENING, LATE MAY INTO WEDNESDAY. SO REALLY A GOOD PORTION OF THAT DAY IS LOOKING DECENTLY DRY FOR US. SOME THINGS CHANGE, BUT I DON’T SEE THAT HAPPENING RIGHT NOW. SO WE’LL KEEP IT SEMI MILD, SEMI KIND OF HUMOR IT OUT THERE FOR TONIGHT JUST BECAUSE OF TODAY’S RAINFALL. MILD WEATHER AND THEN WILL KEEP IT GOING IN THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING. BUT THEN BY THE AFTERNOON, EVENING HOURS, IT’S GOING TO BE FEELING A LOT BETTER FOR US AS THOSE DEW POINTS THAT HUMIDITY KIND OF LOWERS AND CLEARS OUT OF OUR REGION. SO AS WE LOOK AT FUTURE CAST, A FEW ISOLATED SCATTERED SHOWERS OUT THERE EAST. NOTICE ON FUTURE CASTS, IT’S NOT REALLY TOO EAGER ABOUT TOMORROW’S RAIN EITHER. AND SO THAT IS A GOOD SIGHT TO SEE AS WE KIND OF GO THROUGHOUT THE DAY. IT’S KIND OF JUST PUTTING A FEW OF THOSE ISOLATED CELLS, SHOWERS OUT THERE IN THE FORECAST. BUT I THINK ESPECIALLY BY THE EVENING, ONCE WE GET TOWARDS TCU. WELL, TIME FOR THE GOLD CUP COMPETITION. THE SOCCER MATCHES THAT WE HAVE GOING ON AT TCU, WELL, THINGS ARE GOING TO BE LOOKING A LOT BETTER FOR US OUT THERE CURRENTLY, SEVENTIES, RIGHT AROUND 70 DEGREES IN HARRISON, 71 IN CINCINNATI, 69 IN FLORENCE. AND AS I MENTIONED, WE GO THROUGH THE REST OF THE OVERNIGHT TEMPERATURES NOT REALLY CHANGING A WHOLE LOT. IN FACT, I THINK WE’LL BE ON MORE OF THE DRY SIDE AS WE GET DOWN INTO AROUND MID SIXTIES BY TOMORROW MORNING. AND THEN IT’S JUST A SCATTERED OF SHOWER AND POSSIBLE THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY AS WE HAVE TEMPERATURES THAT ONLY GET INTO THE LOWER EIGHTIES AND BASICALLY WHERE WE’LL START TO MATCH ONE AND TOMORROW AT TCU. WELL THAT 5:00 START TIME FOR THE FIRST MATCH AND THEN IT’S US CANADA FOR MATCH TWO AT 730. EXPECT THOSE TEMPERATURES INTO THE SEVENTIES OTHERWISE SEVEN DAY FORECAST LIKE I MENTIONED WILL KEEP IT DRY FOR THE FIRST

SOUTHEAST. LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM, THOUGH, SITTING KIND OF ON TOP OF US. AND THAT BRINGS US AT LEAST A LITTLE BIT OF A RAIN THREAT AS WE GO INTO PARTS OF MONDAY. IT’S NOT GOING TO BE A WASH OUT BY ANY MEANS, NOT EVEN ANYWHERE NEAR WHAT WE WERE TODAY. BUT THE THREATS THERE THAT WE’RE GOING TO BE WATCHING FOR 4TH OF JULY, THOUGH, LOOKING PRETTY GOOD FOR US AS FAR AS DRY TIME FOR FIREWORKS. IT’S GOING TO FEEL, THOUGH, LIKE SUMMER, VERY TYPICAL JULY. IT’S NOT, SHALL I FOURTH CELEBRATIONS WITHOUT A BIT OF HEAT AND AT LEAST A LITTLE BIT OF HUMIDITY IN THE FORECAST, PROBABLY NOT AS MUCH AS WHAT WE SAW THIS WEEKEND, BUT STILL SOME OUT THERE. SO AS WE LOOK AT FUTURE GAS, THIS IS SHOWING A FEW ISOLATED SHOWERS THROUGH THE OVERNIGHT. MAYBE A RUMBLE OF THUNDER, BUT OVERALL, NOT TRACKING ANYTHING SEVERE. AND THAT WILL BE THE SAME FOR MONDAY. IN FACT, I THIS IS EVEN BEING A LITTLE AGGRESSIVE WITH JUST HOW MUCH IT’S KIND OF SCATTERED RAIN THREAT. IT’S SHOWING ACROSS THE AREA. BUT GENERALLY A SCATTERED SHOWER OR TWO, MAYBE A RUMBLE OF THUNDER GOING TO BE POSSIBLE THROUGH THE AFTERNOON, EVENING HOURS AS TEMPERATURES ARE JUST SLIGHTLY COOLER OUT THERE FOR TOMORROW. AND THEN BY TUESDAY MODELS TRYING TO THROW A VERY ISOLATED THREAT BY THE EVENING, NOT FULLY BUYING THAT, THOUGH, AS THESE SYSTEMS REALLY GOING TO BE STARTING TO WRAP UP EITHER WAY BY TUESDAY NIGHT. WE ARE DEFINITELY ON A DRIER SIDE AND WE SHOULD BE GREAT FOR YOUR FIRE WORKS FORECAST. SO IF YOU HAVE ANY 4TH OF JULY PLANS ON TUESDAY, IF YOU’RE DOING AN EVENING COOKOUT, IT’S A WARM ONE UP OR 80 IS GOING TO BE INTO THE FORECAST ON TUESDAY. PLENTY OF SUNSHINE, A LITTLE BIT OF THAT HUMIDITY AND EVEN AS WE GET TOWARDS THE NIGHT PAST, SUNSET WILL STILL BE INTO THE LOWER EIGHTIES, UPPER SEVENTIES. AND THEN AS YOU’RE HEADING HOME, GETTING CLOSER TO THAT MID TO UPPER 70 RANGE AFTER, THE FIREWORKS SHOW. SO IT IS GOING TO BE WARMER ONE FOR THIS 4TH OF JULY. BUT AS I MENTIONED, IT’S JULY. SO REALLY, THIS IS KIND OF TYPICAL. IT SEEMS LIKE THAT WE SEE THIS TIME OF YEAR, UPPER SIXTIES, LOWER SEVENTIES OUT THERE CURRENTLY FOR TONIGHT. SO STILL VERY MILD THROUGH THE OVERNIGHT AND WE’LL KEEP IT THERE AS WE HEAD THROUGH THE OVERNIGHT AS WELL. UPPER SIXTIES EXPECTED THROUGH THE OVERNIGHT INTO START YOUR MONDAY BEFORE WE GET THOSE TEMPERATURES CLIMBING BACK INTO THE UPPER 70 S AND ONLY REALLY TOPPING OUT INTO RIGHT AROUND THE LOWER EIGHTIES FOR YOUR MONDAY’S HIGHS. WE’LL KEEP WARMING IT UP INTO THE MIDDLE OF THE WEEK. WE COULD SEE A 90 DEGREE TEMPERATURES TRYING TO SNEAK IN HERE O

ARE GOING TO BE TRACKING IN SOME MORE RAIN CHANCES. SO TALKING ABOUT THAT SMOKE IN AIR QUALITY ISSUE FIRST, IT’S NOT AS BAD AS WHAT WE DEALT WITH THE OTHER WEEK, BUT YOU DO SEE THE THICKEST SMOKE JUST SOUTH OF CINCINNATI, DOWN INTO CENTRAL KENTUCKY, SOUTH CENTRAL KENTUCKY AND PARTS OF SOUTHWEST INDIANA. WE ARE SEEING MODERATE AIR QUALITY ISSUES. SO IT’S NOT AS BAD AS WHAT WE HAVE SEEN BEFORE, BUT YOU SEE UP NEAR PARTS OF LAKE ERIE, CLEVELAND AREA, INTO MICHIGAN, THEY ARE SEEING THAT UNHEALTHY LEVEL OF AIR QUALITY AND IT’S GOING TO BE STAYING RIGHT AROUND THESE LEVELS FOR TODAY. BUT WE DO HAVE AIR QUALITY ALERTS IN EFFECT FOR SEVERAL COUNTIES SURROUNDING HAMILTON COUNTY UP AH, YEAH, HAMILTON COUNTY UP TOWARDS BUTLER, WARREN CLERMONT COUNTY, BOONE, KENTON CAMPBELL AND INTO PARTS OF DEARBORN. THIS IS GOING TO LAST THROUGH MIDNIGHT ON SUNDAY. SO JUST BE CAUTIOUS IF YOU ARE OF A SENSITIVE GROUP BECAUSE WE ARE GOING TO KIND OF KEEP SOME OF THIS HAZINESS AROUND. IT CLEARS OUT AT TIMES, BUT BY SUNDAY, IT’S GOING TO KIND OF TRY TO WORK BACK IN HERE AS OUR NEXT SYSTEM IS MOVING IN. THEN FOR THIS NEXT WEEK. AND THEN THAT’S GOING TO HELP KIND OF PUSH IT OUT OF OUR AREA AGAIN. SO FOUR OR FATHER’S DAY WEEKEND FOR YOUR PLANS TODAY, BACK INTO THE LOWER 80. SO RIGHT NEAR AVERAGE AND THEN SLIGHTLY WARMER FOR YOUR SUNDAY INTO THE MID EIGHTIES THERE THIS MORNING. IT’S A COOL FEEL OUT THERE IF YOU ARE ABOUT TO HEAD OUT THIS MORNING YOU MAY WANT A LIGHT JACKET AS WE’RE STARTING OUT IN THE MID TO LOWER 50 FOR MANY AREAS 52 HARRISON 51 LEVEL AND 50 FOR BATAVIA OBVIOUSLY OVER SALES. THAT’S A BAD READING THERE. BUT MANY AREAS A LITTLE BIT ON THE COOL SIDE WITH THAT DRY AIR FEELING EVEN A LITTLE BIT COOLER. WE HAVE SEVERAL EVENTS GOING ON TODAY, NOT JUST DAY YOGA AT PAID COURSE SETTING. THAT SOUNDS PRETTY FUN OUT THERE WITH 8 A.M. CHECK IN, WE’LL HAVE THOSE UPPER FIFTIES AND THEN LOWER SIXTIES AS THE EVENT STARTS THERE NOT AM. AND THEN TO REWARD YOURSELF AFTER MAYBE SOME YOGA, SOME POST YOGA BRUNCH IF YOU’RE HEADING OUT LATER ON THIS MORNING. WE’RE TRACKING THOSE TEMPERATURES RIGHT AROUND 72 DEGREES LATE THIS MORNING AND INTO THE AFTERNOON. WE ALSO HAVE THE TUSCALOOSA STREET FEST. HOPEFULLY, I SAY THAT RIGHT ON EASTERN AVENUE THERE NEAR TUSCALOOSA PARK, AND THAT BEGINS AT 3 P.M. THIS AFTERNOON. TEMPERATURES ARE GOING TO BE INTO THE UPPER SEVENTIES. WE GET INTO A LITTLE LOWER EIGHTIES FOR THIS AFTERNOON, EVENING, AND THEN BY THE END OF THAT EVENT, YOU’RE LOOKING AT LOWER SEVENTIES. BY LATER ON TONIGHT, CLEAR SKIES AND A MILD FEEL ALL AROUND FOR THAT FORECAST. AND I TALKED ABOUT FATHER’S DAY FOR YOUR SUNDAY MID EIGHTIES IN THAT FORECAST YOU’RE TALKING ABOUT LOW HUMIDITY SO IT’S GOING TO BE FEELING PRETTY NICE IF YOU ARE DOING ANYTHING WITH YOUR DAD, MAYBE GETTING OUT 40 TIME IN THE AFTERNOON. AND THEN BY JUNETEENTH CELEBRATIONS, THAT’S WHEN WE’RE GOING TO BE SEEING A FEW AFTERNOON, POSSIBLY EVENING, SCATTERED SHOWERS, THUNDERSTORMS OUT THERE. SO NOT A WASHOUT OF A DAY. SO I WOULDN’T GO CANCELING ANY PLANS, BUT IT IS GOING TO KICK OFF SOME MORE ISOLATED, SCATTERED CHANCES THROUGHOUT NEXT WEEK WITH TEMPERATURES

PATCHES. BUT AS WE TAKE YOU OVER TO OUR LIVE RADAR, YOU SEE A CLEAN SWEEP RIGHT NOW. BUT IF YOU LOOK DOWN 71 FURTHER TO THE SOUTHWEST OF PARTS OF CARROLL COUNTY, GETTING INTO AREAS JUST WEST OF OCEAN COUNTY, YOU ARE SEEING A LITTLE BIT OF THAT RAIN THAT IS MOVING THROUGH TO TO THE NORTHEAST OF LOUISVILLE. EVEN ONE LITTLE LIGHTNING STRIKE SHOWING UP THERE. THAT’S GOING TO MOVE ITS WAY EVENTUALLY IN THROUGH PARTS OF CARROLL GALLATIN AND POSSIBLY EVEN OHIO, SWITZERLAND COUNTIES. WE ALSO HAVE A LITTLE BIT DOWN NEAR CENTRAL KENTUCKY THAT MAY JUST TRIM BY PARTS OF MASON ADAMS COUNTY THAT WE’LL BE WATCHING. THIS IS ALL KIND OF JUST SOME EARLY RAINFALL THAT WE’RE GOING TO BE SEEING OUT ACROSS OUR REGION. WE’RE STILL WATCHING THAT LOW PRESSURE THAT’S SPINNING OUT HERE THROUGH PARTS OF MISSOURI. AND THOSE SHOWERS, THAT KIND OF STRETCH DOWN THROUGH THE AREA THAT’S GOING TO BE MOVING INTO OUR REGION AS WE GO THROUGH PARTS OF THIS MORNING. AND THEN WE HAVE A SECOND ROUND THAT MOVES IN FOR THE EVENING. AND THAT SECOND ROUND COULD BRING A LITTLE BIT OF SEVERE WEATHER TO OUR REGION. THE BEST THREAT IS FURTHER TO THE SOUTH. BUT HERE IN CINCINNATI, ACROSS SOUTHERN OHIO, THAT’S WHERE WE ARE SEEING A SLIGHT RISK FOR SEVERE WEATHER. IT’S A LEVEL TWO OUT OF FIVE FROM THE STORM PREDICTION CENTER. YOU SEE IT COVERING MUCH OF HAMILTON AREAS TO THE SOUTHEAST. AREAS OF BUTLER UP TOWARDS PARTS OF BROOKVILLE THERE AND FRANKLIN COUNTY, WAVERLY COUNTY, DEARBORN, PARTS OF THOSE MORE INTO THAT MARGINAL RISK THAT REALLY THE FURTHER NORTH YOU ARE, THE LOWER THE CHANCES OF SEVERE STORMS. AND THE MAIN IMPACTS WE’RE GOING TO BE SEEING IS MOSTLY JUST SOME STRONG WINDS. IF WE SEE IT, BUT OTHERWISE JUST IT’S GENERAL HEAVY RAINFALL AND SOME GUSTY STORMS, HIGHER IMPACTS GOING TO BE MOVING IN FOR THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING THIS MORNING INTO THE MID DAY. IT’S MEDIUM IMPACTS TO LOW IMPACTS BECAUSE AS WE SEE THIS WARNING JUST JEN, A LITTLE SCATTERED SHOWERS THAT ARE MOVING THROUGH AS WE GET INTO NINE, TEN, 11:00, WE’LL SEE A LITTLE BIT MORE ACTION SHOWING UP ON RADAR. BUT AGAIN, A LOT OF THIS SHOULDN’T NECESSARILY BE THE SEVERE THREAT IN THE FORECAST AS WE GET INTO THE AFTERNOON. THAT SYSTEM MOVES TO THE NORTH. WE SEE A LITTLE BIT OF A BREAK BACK FOR PARTS OF OUR AREA THAT COULD HELP BOOST THOSE TEMPERATURES. AND THEN AS WE HEAD INTO THE EVENING, THEN WE SEE THESE SHOWERS AND STORMS THAT START TO BLOW IN HERE BETWEEN FOUR OR FIVE, POSSIBLY EVEN SIX OR 7:00 FOR PARTS OF CINCINNATI, THEN AREAS TO THE EAST A LITTLE BIT LATER, SIX, SEVEN, EIGHT, AND POSSIBLY FOR YOUR AREAS. AND THAT’S GOING TO BE BLOWING THROUGH WITH SOME GUSTY WINDS AND SOME THEN SOME SCATTERED SHOWERS LEFT OVER ON THE BACK SIDE OF THIS. SO A LOT OF MUCH NEEDED RAIN WE’RE SEEING AROUND 1 TO 1 AND A HALF INCHES, POSSIBLY EVEN A LITTLE MORE IN SOME ISOLATED AREAS FOR TODAY. SO THAT’S VERY HELPFUL. TEMPERATURES CAN BE STUCK AROUND THE UPPER SEVENTIES, MAYBE AROUND 80 FOR SOME AREAS IN NORTHERN KENTUCKY. BUT THIS RAIN HELPING COOL US DOWN FOR NEXT WEEK. AS YOU SEE, WE’RE DOWN INTO THE LOWER SEVENTIES FOR MONDAY AND STRAY SHOWERS AND THEN IT DRIES OUT FOR THE AFTERNOON WITH MID SEVENTIES ON TUESDAY BEFORE WE WARM BACK UP TO MORE OF A NORMAL FEEL FOR T

SO JUST KEEP THAT IN MIND. BUT IT IS A BEAUTIFUL DAY. ANOTHER WARM DAY, VERY SUMMER, LIKE WITH THAT WARMTH CONTINUING, BUT HUMIDITY STAYING LOW. AND THAT IS THE GOOD NEWS THAT WE HAVE BEEN ENJOYING HERE THE PAST FEW DAYS. IT’S STILL WARM IF YOU GET OUTSIDE, IF YOU’RE IN THE SUNSHINE, STILL FEELS HOT, STILL FEELS WARM, BUT WITHOUT THAT HUMIDITY, IT DOESN’T FEEL OVERWHELMING OR KIND OF MUGGY OUT THERE WITH WITH THAT AROUND. BUT THAT DRY STREAK AND FORTUNATELY CONTINUING, WE COULD DEFINITELY USE SOME RAIN IN THE FORECAST, BUT IT HAS YET TO APPEAR BESIDES MAYBE A STRAIGHT CHANCE HERE AND THERE. SO RIGHT NOW, CVG AIRPORT AT 72 DEGREES, THOSE NORTHEAST WINDS AT TEN MILES AN HOUR DO POINTS IN THE MID TO LOWER FIFTIES, WHICH IS VERY SIMILAR TO WHAT WE SAW YESTERDAY. SO WE’RE RIGHT IN THAT PLEASANT, REFRESHING RANGE FOR THIS WEEKEND, CONTINUING ON EVEN INTO NEXT WEEK AS WELL. MANY AREAS THIS MORNING, THOUGH, STARTING OUT IN THOSE SIXTIES, EVEN A FEW FIFTIES IN HAMILTON HARRISON, 58, 67 IN BATESVILLE, 65 IN BATAVIA. AS WE LOOK AT FUTURE CARS, I MENTIONED TODAY IS MOSTLY DRY. BUT AS WE GET INTO THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING, YOU SEE HOW THE MODELS ARE TRYING TO BUILD UP SOME ISOLATED STRAY SHOWERS. NOW, AGAIN, THIS IS GOING TO BE LOOKING AGGRESSIVE. THEN WHAT WILL ACTUALLY SEE OUT THERE, BECAUSE HERE’S THE THING, WHILE YOU DO SEE IT LOOKS PRETTY STRONG OUT THERE BY LATE THIS EVENING, EVEN INTO TONIGHT, THAT DRY AIR REALLY GOING TO LIMIT WHAT IS POSSIBLE OUT THERE FOR THIS EVENING. SO WHILE WE CAN’T RULE OUT ANY STRAY CHANCE, IT IS A VERY STRAY, VERY ISOLATED, AND THEN IT CONTINUES TO STAY DRY THROUGH SUNDAY. SO EVEN IF YOU DO SEE THAT STRAY CHANCE POP UP OVER YOUR HOME, IT’S GOING TO BE GONE AS QUICKLY AS IT POPS UP WITH THAT DRY AIR AROUND FOR TODAY. TEMPERATURES CLIMBING THROUGH THEIR SIXTIES INTO THE SEVENTIES, INTO FORD’S 80 AS EVEN BEFORE WE GET TOWARDS NOON TIME AND AS WE GO THROUGH THIS EVENING FOR YOUR REDS GAME, WE DO HAVE GREAT WEATHER. IT’S ANOTHER HOT 190 TO START THE GAME THAT FIRST PITCH FOR TEN BY THE LAST OUT WE’RE INTO THE UPPER NINETIES AND FOR FC CINCY TONIGHT TAKING ON CHICAGO FIRE THEY ARE TIKI WELL THE MARCH IN THE MATCH IN THE UPPER EIGHTIES KICK OFF AROUND 730. YOU’RE LOOKING AROUND THE MID EIGHTIES AND BY DRIVING HOME YOU’RE TALKING 70. SO VERY WARM FOR THAT AS WELL. SO STAY HYDRATED IF YOU ARE GOING OUT TO ANY OF THOSE EVENTS. OTHERWISE YOU’LL GET A SEVEN DAY FORECAST AND NO RAIN CHANCES STAYING HERE IN THE FORECAST.

AND SO WE’LL HAVE TO WATCH FOR THAT AS WE CONTINUE ON. BUT AS WE LOOK AT FUTURE CASTS, YOU SEE IT’S NOT REALLY PICKING UP ON A LOT OF THOSE SCATTERED, SCATTERED CHANCES AROUND PARTS OF CINCINNATI TO THE NORTH, VERY WELL, BECAUSE IT’S MOSTLY PICKING UP A LOT OF THIS THREAT, STAYING INTO NORTHERN KENTUCKY UNTIL WE KIND OF GET INTO LATE THIS MORNING, INTO THE AFTERNOON, WE COULD SEE MAYBE A FEW MORE SCATTERED SHOWERS START TO WORK THEIR WAY MORE INTO THE GREATER CINCINNATI. AND THEN INTO THE REST OF OUR REGION. A LITTLE BIT MORE THERE AS WELL. THIS EVENING. NOW, AGAIN, THIS IS GOING TO BE SHOWING A LOT MORE THAN WHAT WE SEE ON RADAR AT TIMES. BUT YOU GET A GENERAL SENSE OF THE SCATTERED NATURE OF IT THROUGHOUT TODAY. AND AS WE GO INTO MONDAY, I MENTIONED STILL NOT A WASHOUT, BUT WE COULD SEE A FEW ISOLATED TO SCATTERED SHOWERS OUT THERE. AGAIN, FOUR TOMORROW THROUGH KIND OF THE MORNING, A FEW ISOLATED CHANCES AGAIN BY THE EVENING, BUT WE’LL STILL HAVE PLENTY OF DRY TIME TO ENJOY THE OUTDOORS. ENJOY ANY OF THE PARADES HAPPENING FOR TOMORROW AS WELL. FIFTIES RIGHT NOW, EVEN A FEW 60 SHOWING UP THIS MORNING, 61 IN FLORENCE, 59 HERE IN CINCINNATI, 54 IN HARRISON, 55 OUT THERE IN BATESVILLE. AS WE GO THROUGH TODAY, THOSE TEMPERATURES NOT REALLY GOING TO BE MOVING MUCH. SO BESIDES THE SPOTTY RAIN, CHANCES WILL STAY IN THE SIXTIES. WE HAVE HYDE PARK FARMER’S MARKET TODAY THERE AT THE PARK AND IT OPENS AT 930 WITH LOWER SIXTIES BY CLOSING TIME AROUND ONE. WE’RE TALKING ONLY THE MID 60. SAME GOES FOR TASTERS. CINCINNATI HERE IN DOWNTOWN FIFTH STREET WE ARE SEEING THOSE LOWER SIXTIES ONLY TURNING INTO THE MID 60 IS THEN LATER ON TONIGHT WE’LL KEEP IT CLOUDY WE’LL KEEP IT MILD WITH TEMPERATURES THAT ARE REALLY ONLY STAYING IN THE LOWER 60. SO WITH THAT RAIN TODAY, WINDS STAYING RELATIVELY LIGHT TO MODERATE, 5 TO 10 MILES AN HOUR OUT OF THE NORTHEAST. THEN LATER ON TONIGHT AFTER WE GET THROUGH THE OVERNIGHT HOURS INTO TOMORROW MORNING, WE’LL SEE TEMPERATURES GETTING DOWN TO AROUND THE MID 50. SO FAIRLY MILD OUT THERE TO START YOUR MONDAY AS WELL WITH TEMPERATURES BACK INTO THE 70. SO THAT’S SOME GOOD NEWS THERE ON MONDAY AS WELL. WE’RE BACK TO A SEASONAL FEEL. BUT THEN, AS I MENTIONED, AFTER THAT, AS WE GO THROUGH THE REST OF THE WEEK, A SUMMER SURGE WITH HEAT AND HUMIDITY GOING TO BE COMING BACK INTO THAT FORECAST WITH EIGHTIES AND POTENTIALLY NEAR 9

LOOKS LIKE A GREAT EVENT THERE. AND THE WEATHER COOPERATED FOR THE MOST PART YESTERDAY. A COUPLE OF SCATTERED SHOWERS AND TODAY FOR MOTHER’S DAY, IT LOOKS LIKE IT’S GOING TO BE BEAUTIFUL. YEAH, IT’S GOING TO BE REALLY MUCH BETTER TODAY THAN WHAT WE SAW YESTERDAY, EVEN THOUGH WE HAD A LOT OF DRY WEATHER. WE HAD A LITTLE BIT OF THAT HUMIDITY YESTERDAY. TODAY, WE’LL START TO LOWER THAT HUMIDITY BEGINS TO FEEL A LITTLE AT LEAST A LITTLE BETTER OUT THERE WITH SOME RAIN CHANCES, BUT ONLY FOR A FEW AREAS AS WELL. AS YOU LOOK AT THAT RADAR SWEEP THIS MORNING, YOU SEE A LITTLE BIT OF THAT RAIN OFF INTO PARTS OF INDIANA JUST TRIMMING BY PARTS OF RIPLEY COUNTY THERE ON THE FAR WESTERN EDGES, AS WE PUT IT INTO MOTION. YOU’LL NOTICE HOW IT’S KIND OF JUST BARELY MOVING TO THE SOUTH AND EAST. SO SOME OF THIS RAIN UP NEAR GREENWOOD, IF IT DOESN’T FALL APART, WE COULD SEE IT KIND OF JUST TRIM THAT SOUTHWEST CORNER OF RIPLEY COUNTY, MAYBE EVEN GETTING INTO PARTS OF SWITZERLAND COUNTY HERE THIS MORNING AS WELL. YOU HAVE A LITTLE BIT MORE RAIN UP UPSTREAM OF THAT NEAR LAFAYETTE, INDIANA, INTO PARTS OF ILLINOIS THAT COULD ALSO MOVE THROUGH OUR AREA. THIS MORNING. MOST OF THIS JUST EAST OF FORT WAYNE, NORTH OF DAYTON AND COLUMBUS SHOULD STAY OUT OF OUR REGION AS WELL AS WE GO THROUGH TODAY. AS FAR AS RAINFALL IMPACT, IT’S LOW TO NONE TODAY. MOST AREAS GOING TO BE GETTING BY AND EVEN A LITTLE BIT OF RAIN THOUGHT THAT WE COULD SEE OFF TO OUR WEST. IT’S GOING TO BE STAYING FAIRLY SCATTERED, TOO ISOLATED THROUGH THIS MORNING. MONDAY, WE’LL HAVE ANOTHER THREAT THROUGH THE EARLY MORNING HOURS. OTHERWISE THIS DRY. AND THEN BY TUESDAY, WE ARE ADDING A RAIN THREAT THERE IN THE FORECAST SYSTEM, KIND OF SHIFTING ITS PATH THAT COULD IMPACT OUR REGION AS WELL. SO LET’S LOOK AT THAT. THE FUTURE CAVS THIS MORNING, AS I MENTIONED, FEW RAIN CHANCES MOSTLY INTO PARTS OF CENTRAL EASTERN INDIANA, SOUTHEASTERN INDIANA, AND JUST BARELY INTO PARTS OF NORTHERN KENTUCKY THROUGH PARTS OF GALLATIN INTO CARROLL COUNTY. OH, WAYNE COUNTY ALSO GETTING IN ON A LITTLE BIT OF IT THIS MORNING, BUT A LOT OF IT REALLY GOING TO FADE AWAY. SO OVERALL, A GREAT MOTHER’S DAY HERE THROUGHOUT THE AFTERNOON THROUGH THE EVENING, WE’LL HAVE SOME PARTLY CLOUDY TO CLOUDY SKIES THROUGHOUT THE AFTERNOON WITH SOME PEEKS OF SUNSHINE. THEN AS WE GO INTO YOUR MONDAY, HERE’S A LITTLE BIT OF THAT RAIN THREAT THAT MOVES THROUGH IN THE MORNING. IT’S GOING TO BE FAIRLY SCATTERED THERE FOR THAT MORNING COMMUTE FOR THE BUS STOP FORECAST THERE MONDAY MORNING FOR A FEW THAT STILL ARE IN SCHOOL. I KNOW A LOT OF GRADUATIONS HAPPENING HERE SOON AS WELL, BUT WE’LL HAVE A FEW OF THOSE MORNING SHOWERS THAT THEN FADE AWAY THROUGH THE LATE MORNING INTO THE AFTERNOON HOURS. AND THEN WE’RE LEFT OVER WITH DRY WEATHER FOR THE REST OF YOUR MONDAY. NOW, AS FAR AS TEMPERATURES GO THIS MORNING, STARTING OUT THE DAY IN THE UPPER 50 IS A LOWER SIX EIGHTIES ALL ACROSS OUR REGION, 56 LOVING LOVELAND, 59. BATAVIA, 63 HERE IN PARTS OF CINCINNATI. AND WE’LL KEEP IT MILD TO WARMING UP AS WE GO THROUGH TODAY. SO IF YOU DO HAVE ANY PLANS FOR MOTHER’S DAY, BREAKFAST OUT THIS MORNING WILL BE INTO THOSE LOWER SIXTIES AND THEN AS WE GO THROUGH THE LATER MORNING HOURS, WILL GET INTO THE MID-SIXTIES, EVEN GETTING TOWARDS 70 DEGREES BY ABOUT TEN, 11:00. ALSO HAPPENING TODAY, ART, ON THE VINE AT WASHINGTON PARK BEGINS 12 P.M. SO IF YOU’RE TAKING YOUR MOTHER OUT FOR THAT ART SHOW THERE AT WASHINGTON PARK, EXPECT THE TEMPERATURES TO GET A LITTLE WARMER BY THE AFTERNOON. WE’RE TALKING EIGHTIES. AND THEN AS IT WRAPS UP AROUND 6 P.M., STILL EXPECTING AROUND THE UPPER SEVENTIES WITH THOSE CLOUDY SKIES. SO FOR TODAY, TEMPERATURES NEAR 80 DEGREES, ISOLATED RAIN MAINLY TO THE WEST. THOSE WINDS PICKING UP A LITTLE BIT MORE AND IT’S TURNING LESS HUMID, WHICH IS ALREADY FEELING IT A LITTLE BIT THIS MORNING. BUT IT WILL FEEL REALLY GREAT BY LATER ON THIS EVENING AS TEMPERATURES DROP BACK TO THE LOWER FIFTIES OVERNIGHT. THERE’S THAT SCATTERED RAIN THREAT ON TUESDAY. DESPITE THAT, A WEATHER IMPACT TO THAT JUST BECAUSE WE COULD SEE MAYBE SOME IMPACTS TO THAT MORNING COMMUTE THERE ON TUESDAY, OTHERWISE WILL DRY IT OUT FOR THE MIDDLE OF THE WEEK. AND TEMPERATURES DROPPING A LITTLE BIT BACK INTO THE MID SE

Christmas Day doesn't feel much like winter for much of the South and Southeast.More than 200 records may be broken Christmas Day through Wednesday from Texas to the southeastern U.S. as warm air pushes into the region, bringing spring- and summerlike temperatures. Many locations, including Dallas, Houston and Austin are expected to break daily record highs, but high-temperature records for the entire month of December could also be broken.Specifically, Dallas has a forecast high for Christmas of 83, which is only 6 degrees under its July 4 high; Houston has a forecast high of 81, which is 9 degrees below its July 4 high.Wichita Falls, Texas, hit 91 Friday -- warmer than its July 4 high of 88, and Grandfield, Oklahoma, reached 89, which also beats its July 4 high of 88.Along with the warm temperatures, level 2 of 3 critical fire danger has been issued by the Storm Prediction Center for parts of west Texas and Oklahoma and east Colorado on Sunday due to minimal rain chances, sustained winds up to 25 mph and very low relative humidity that will raise wildfire concerns. The warm weather trend will continue through Wednesday before temperatures lower slightly, but highs will remain above average all week. The West faces rain and heavy snowfallContrasting the spring- and summer-like temperatures across the South, the West is seeing rounds of coastal rain and heavy high elevation snowfall.Multiple rounds of snow are impacting the West from a Christmas Day system, contributing to significant mountain snowfall and lower elevation rainfall on the West Coast.More than 6 million people across the Western U.S. are under a winter storm warning.Winter storm warnings are reaching as far south as the San Bernardino and Riverside County Mountains. This is due to Arctic air pushing into the Pacific Northwest, which is causing winter storm alerts to reach near the coast, producing a rare White Christmas for places like Seattle and Portland.Seattle has only seen measurable snow on Christmas Day nine times in 127 years of records. Holiday weekend travel conditions in the region could be dangerous due to tall snowdrifts and whiteout conditions. Oregon is in a state of emergency through Jan. 3 due to the potential for hazardous winter weather conditions and sustained subfreezing temperatures.Portland may see up to 4 inches of snow for Christmas Day. This system is also bringing heavy rainfall to Southern California on Christmas with much of the California coast seeing up to 4 inches of rainfall throughout the next five days. The system that is causing heavy snow and rainfall to the West will head toward the upper Midwest, bringing heavy snowfall to much of the area. Winter weather watches have already been issued, and some places can see up to a foot of snowfall.Winter weather advisories issued for the NortheastThe Northeast is also not free from inclement weather. Winter weather advisories are in effect for parts of the Northeast, largely due to freezing rain.Freezing rain may create slippery and hazardous road conditions in major cities like Boston. New England could see more widespread snowfall by Saturday night. Some parts of the northeast could see up to half an inch of ice accumulation.

The first day of fall is just one week away and restaurants are preparing to take another hit.

“A lot of us are going into these months thinking, you know, how many more days can I survive until I have to close my restaurant?” said Kevin Boehm, a co-founder of the Boka Restaurant Group, an independent restaurant coalition.

Boehm is also a restaurant owner in Chicago, where COVID-19 restrictions have slashed indoor capacity. And he says outdoor seating won't be possible much longer.

The National Restaurant Association surveyed owners around the country. About three quarters say they're using patio space right now and hope to continue doing so for a least a few more weeks.

Outdoor dining is bringing in nearly half of their daily sales but keeping customers outside will soon get more costly.

“Equipment for outdoor dining, especially when it gets cold, get expensive, be it a tent for a parking lot, be it heaters or anything like that, that starts adding up in costs,” said Mike Whatley, VP of State and Local Affairs at the National Restaurant Association.

The association wants local governments to start grant programs for buying that equipment to keep temporary regulations in place that allow for more outdoor service.

The coalition hopes to see increased indoor capacity for cooler months. They're also lobbying for Congress to pass the Restaurants Act, which would create a $120 billion grant program for independent restaurants.

Boehm says there could be rolling closures through the winter.

“By the time we get to next summer, we're going to be looking at a much smaller array of restaurants, a lot less choices, a lot more chains, and the independent restaurant is going to be an endangered species,” said Boehm.

The National Restaurant Association says owners that are innovative are the ones that will make it through this crisis.
