Approximately 14,400 strollers manufactured by UPPAbaby are being recalled because of a risk of amputating children's fingers. The Consumer Product Safety Commission said in a release that the rear brakes on the brand's All-Terrain Ridge Jogging strollers have "openings that can cause amputation or laceration if a non-occupant child's fingertip gets caught in the openings while the stroller is in use."The agency said it has received one reported incident in which a child, who wasn't in the stroller, had their fingertip amputated. The $600 stroller has been sold at a number of retailers, including Amazon, BuyBuyBaby, Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus and Pottery Barn Kids. The problematic strollers have serial numbers that begin with "1401RDGUS" on the stroller's right side above the rear wheel. The strollers have a black frame and were sold with three fabric colors, including white, charcoal and slate blue.Affected consumers should stop using the strollers and contact UPPAbaby for free replacement brake discs for both wheels.UPPAbaby didn't immediately respond to CNN Business' request for comment.
