New documents outline the first calls and the response to the Smale Riverfront Park shooting.People called frantically asking for help.First responders from across Greater Cincinnati rushed to the scene.Officials said police were already starting to clear the park before the shooting, then the calls started pouring in.Dispatchers went right to work trying to get more police and fire units to the scene as chaos turned into even more chaos."We just got a bunch of kids -- I thought it was fireworks -- but they're running away from the park," an officer said in radio traffic.New dispatch reports help paint the grim scene at Smale Riverfront Park on the night of July 4.It was 10:47 p.m. when the first 911 call came in, reporting a shooting near a playground.By 10:48 p.m., a caller reported a 17-year-old girl and teen boy were shot, according to dispatch records. The documents show at 10:50 p.m., someone called reporting three people were shot near the Roebling Suspension Bridge.Records show 75 police units from all districts responded to The Banks."We're just across from the carousel. We've got at least two down," an officer said in radio traffic. The dispatcher responded in the radio traffic letting the officer know they are "getting standby cars now."By 10:54 p.m., records show first responders performing CPR.At 10:55 p.m., they indicate another victim has been found."I have a critical male behind Paul Brown Stadium. (Inaudible) city-wide assistance. We have a large group of people surrounding officers and surrounding the victim," an officer said in radio traffic. At 10:56 p.m., police said a woman told them her boyfriend was shot.By 10:58 p.m., officers were trying to get people out of the park, according to the dispatch records. At 11:03 p.m., dispatchers noted a medic was taking a critical patient to UC Medical Center. The report showed by 11:14 p.m., an officer rushed someone to the hospital themselves."I'm going to go ahead and take her to the hospital. We have no ambulances," an officer said on radio traffic. At this point, it appears four shooting victims were either taken to the hospital by official means or showed up on their own.Records reveal between 11:22 p.m. and 11:46 p.m., several bridges, including the suspension bridge, were closed but reopened.By 12:24 a.m., dispatchers relayed information about a victim who died on scene, according to the documents. It was at 2:14 a.m., that the report shows the Hamilton County coroner arrived.Radio traffic also reveals at least one officer needed a lockout kit for their cruiser in the midst of the dramatic scene. The park apparently reopened by about 5 a.m.The documents also show numerous outside agencies also responded to help Cincinnati police. The agencies include Springdale police and the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office. They also show northern Kentucky departments responded to help on their side of the river.

Three victims of the shooting at Smale Riverfront Park are recovering.Police said a 17-year-old girl is in critical condition and a 16-year-old girl and 15-year-old boy are healing after they were shot in the arm.Family members told WLWT the oldest victim is in intensive care. They said she has organ damage, but also told us she is stable after ending up caught in the crossfire. We also talked with the mother of a 16-year-old who was shot."I was about to get in bed when somebody called and said, 'Ms. Katrina, your daughter's shot'. I'm like, what," Trina said.It was a phone call that changed everything for Trina. We are not using anything more than her first name and not identifying her 16-year-old daughter at their request after the shooting at Smale Riverfront Park on Sunday.Trina said she is a nurse and started considering how badly her daughter could be hurt."They said that she was shot in the arm, like, and I don't know what it could've been because, you know, me, I see it all the time. It can go through the arm and go into the chest. So, I didn't really know what was happening," Trina said.It is unbelievable, yet somehow feels predictable to this mother."I didn't want her to go down there. Specifically before, specifically for this reason. It seems like every weekend the kids convene down there and it just be a mess, like, there's all types of fights and stuff like that," she said.Trina told us her 16-year-old daughter was shot as she went to the park after a movie. She said the bullet is still inside.Police said a 15-year-old boy was shot in the arm, too.Even more concerning, officials said a 17-year-old girl is in critical condition after being shot in the back. Her loved ones said she is in intensive care. They also said she lost a kidney and has a damaged liver, but is stable at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. They said she was not part of the fight. For these families, there is a lot to process, including a shared pain knowing some lives have been changed forever and some have been lost."There's nothing that you can say to make a person feel better about their loved one being gone. There's nothing," Trina said.Family members of the 17-year-old said she only turned 17 in May.They said she was at the park celebrating the Fourth of July with some friends.Trina said she feels children are being failed across the board, as she reflected on the shooting. She said there are issues with parenting, the school system and a lack of jobs and other opportunities to keep kids off the streets.
