CINCINNATI — Slick spots and snowy roads could lead to some slow downs in traffic Monday morning.

Most of the Tri-State is under a Winter Weather Advisory until noon; light snow is expected throughout the day, and temperatures will only top out at 31 degrees.

As of midnight, the Ohio Department of Transportation had more than 140,000 crews treating roads across the state. Locally, there are about 125 crews on standby, according to spokesperson Liz Lyons.

Monday's snow follows winter weather across Greater Cincinnati over the weekend. Snow blanketed the Tri-State during the evening and overnight hours Saturday, leaving a fresh blanket of powder covering streets and highways.

Area residents waking up Sunday morning found side streets and highways slick.

On Thursday, the City of Cincinnati’s Department of Public Services reported a shortage in available drivers due to COVID-19 related illness or exposure quarantine.
