Drawing attention like a fish flopping around out of the water, a massive muskie near Lake Winnibigoshish in Cass County, Minnesota, has been reeling in the attention of tourists for more than 65 years. But put down your tackle box and tuck away your dreams of casting out to catch the 65-foot monster. "You're not going to catch this with a regular muskie lure? You're going to use a moose or a black bear for bait,” Al Hemme joked as he talked to WCCO. “And, you're going to need a truck with a winch on it to reel it in."The muskellunge in question is not actually a fish. It’s a large structure — which is also a piece of art. And it’s big. In its earlier days, it was used as a drive-up food stop — selling ice cream out of a drive-up window on the side of the fishy structure, according to Hemme, who — along with his wife, Amy —owns the muskie. The fish is located on the property of the Big Fish Supper Club. It was built in 1957 by Wayne Kumpula, according to WCCO, which reports that burgers and fries, which were cooked in the muskie's tail, were also sold inside the fish when it was a food stand. The Hemmes haven’t always owned the muskie or the namesake business. They purchased the property, which also houses a resort, in 2010. Prior to the Hemmes becoming the owners, the fish structure was on the verge of physically collapsing, but It was refurbished thanks to the help of an anonymous donor and others, according to WCCO. The muskie become somewhat of a pop culture icon over the years — having even taken a bite out of Hollywood. An image of the fish structure appeared as a postcard in “National Lampoon’s Vacation.”“There are so many people that watch that movie now, and they'll quickly take a picture of it and send it to our phones. 'Did you know?' 'Yes, we did know that,’” Amy Hemme said.Decades after it was built, the giant work of art continues to draw tourists, movie buffs and selfie-takers to the supper club and resort."I love our place. I love our people. I love watching the kids grow through the years, and they become like family. It's very, very nice,” Amy Hemme said. Those who may get a hankering to cast a line upon seeing the giant fish need not worry. According to the Big Fish Supper Club’s website, the giant fish is located “adjacent to one of Minnesota’s top walleye fishing lakes.”

At the Floridays Resort in Orlando, Florida, is Robert Mejias, who works as a bellman. He's everything you'd want in a bellman — friendly, efficient and on an average day, he does it all. "Just helping guests with the luggage… taking them to the rooms," he said. "I cook, too. I help in the kitchen." However, Aug. 24, 2020, was no average day. Mejias was on the second floor looking out and spotted a 2-year-old boy floating in the pool "I got to get down there and save him. I gotta get down there and save him," he said. Mejias raced down the stairs and by the time he got there, the boy had been pulled out. "They were shaking him telling him to wake up. And I told them I have to do CPR, I have to get him back," he said. Two weeks earlier, the general manager had all the employees in the resort do CPR training, and Mejias was a bit skeptical. "Because I'm a bellman, what am I ever going to need CPR training for?" he said. Two weeks later, Mejias used that training to save a young life. "I kind of got scared because I thought we lost him. But I wasn't going to stop, and finally, he opened his eyes," he said. Mejias got an industry-wide award as "Outstanding Bell Person" for the year during a time that was especially challenging for the hospitality industry. Robert Agrusa, President-Central Florida Hotel & Lodging Association says: "And they are so incredibly humble because they are here to serve. And in this case, this was an amazing example of service."Mejias said his real reward was seeing the little boy alive and well.

BECAME THE BACKDROP FOR REAL HEADLINES. >> THERE ARE SO MANY EXCITING THINGS THAT HAVE HAPPENED AT WALT DISNEY WORLD OVER THE YEARS, IT IS HARD TO PICK ONE. >> WE HAVE PICKED THE TOP FIVE. DISNEY WORLD’S FIRST FOOTNOTE IN HISTORY CAME TWO YEARS AFTER IT OPEN,ED NOVEMBER 17, 1973. >> PRESIDENT RICHARD NIXON WAS THERE SHORTLY AFTER WATERGATE AND WAS GIVING A SPEECH TO THE PRESS AT ONE OF THE BALLROOMS. THERE WAS A QUESTION AND ANSWER CTSEION AFTER AND HE BLURTED OUT -- >> I AM NOT A CROOK. >> AND THAT BECAME HUGE IN THE AMERICAN LEXICON AND A BIG POP CULTURE MOMENT. >> EVEN PEOPLE WHO KNOW NOTHING ABOUT RICHAR NDIXON PROBAYBL KNOW "I AM NOT A CROOK." MOST PEOE,PL HOWEVER, DO TNO REALIZE THAT WAS UTTERED ON THE GROUNDS O WALT DISNEY WORLD. >> PEOPLE HAVE GOTO TKNOW -- >> YEARS LATER, IT WAS THE BACKDROP FOR HEADLINES AGAIN, AND A BREAKUP THAT ROCKED ROCK ' ’N’ ROLL IN DECEMBER OF 1974, THE END OF THE BEATLES. >> THE WRITING WAS ALREADY ON THE WALL BY THE LATE 1960’S. >> BOB THOMPSON IS A POP CULTURE EXPERT AND PROFESSOR AT SYRACUSE UNIVERSITY. HE SAYS THE BREAKUP OF THE BEATLES UNRAVELED OVER A NUMBER OF YEARS, BUT BY DECEERMB OF 1970 FOUR, PAUL, GEORGE AND RINGO HAD ALL SIGNED THE PAPERWORK DISSOLVING THE PARTNERSP.HI >> AND THEY ONLY NEED ONE MORE SIGNATURE, JOHN LENNON. WHERE DOES HE HAPPEN TO BE WHEN THE DOCUMENTATIONS ARRIVE? THE POLYNESIAN RESORT IN NONE OTHER THAN DISNEY WORLD. SO WHILE DISNEY WORLD DIDN’T CAUSE THE BREAKUP OF THE BEATLES, THE OFFICIAL LAST CHAPTER IN THE BREAKUP OF THE BEATLES ACTUALLY HAPPENED WIINTH SIGHT OF THE MAGIC KINGDOM. >> CELEBRATIONS,OT N BREAKUPS, ARE MORE DISNEY’S STYLE, SO LET’S GET THE PARTY STARTEDITH W OUR NEXT TOP MOMENT FROM 1987. >> I AM GOING TO DISNEY WORLD. >> WORDS THAT HAVE NOW BEEN FIVE UTTERED BY EVERYONE FROM MI SS AMERICA TO REALY ITTV STARS. IT ALL BEGAN IN EARNEST WITH SUPER BOWL 21 MVP QUARTERBACK PHIL SIMMS AFTER THE NEW YORK GIANTS BEAT E BUTHFFALO BIS.LL >> THE STORY GOES HEAS W PAID, SOME REPORTS SAY $50,000, OTHERS $75,000. >> WHEN I HRDEA HIM SAY THAT, I THOUGHT THAT WAS SO COLD. -- SO COOL. YOU KNOW, DISNEY WORLD MEA ANS LOT TO NOT ONLY ME, BUT YOUR KIDS AND THE WHOLE WORLD. >> THAT VERY NEXT YEAR, AHEAOFD SUPER BOWL 22 IN 1988 DOUG WILLIAMS, QUARTERBACK FOR WASHINGT,ON D.C.’S TEAM, WAS APPROACHED. >> THE NIGHT BEFORE, ONE OF THE LADIES WHO WORKED FOR DISNEYT A THE TIME CAMTOE ME AND SAID, HEY, YOU KNOW, IF YOU WIN, YOU KNOW, YOU, WE WANT YOU TO YSA THIS. AFTER THE GAME, YOU KN,OW WALKING OFF THE GAME PEOPLE WAS AROUND ME. AND I HAD MY HELMET UP IN THE AIR. THE ONLY THING I WAS WORRIED ABOUT WAS THE FACT THAT WE WAS THE WORLD CHAMPION, AND NOTHING ELSE MATTERED, THEN I FELT SOMETHING HIT ME ON THE LEG. SHE WAS A SHT ORLADY. AND SHE SAID, HEY, DISNEY WORLD, DISNEY WORLD. AND I LOOKED DOWN, AND I JTUS TURNED AROUND AND SAID, HEY, I’M GOING TO DISNEY WORLD. >> IN 2020, DISNEY STEPPED BACK INTO THE SPORTS ARENA HELPING TO GIVE THE NBA A BUBBLE TO PLAY THEIR ASSEON AMID THE CODVI PANDEMIC. >> HAD WE KNOWN WT WHAWEREE ASKED TO DO AT THE TIME, I AM NOT SO SURE WE WOULD HAVE SAID WE COULD DO IT BECAUSEHE TREAS W SO MUCH UNKNOWN. WE DIDN’T EVEN KNOW AT THAT TIME -- OR NO ONE DID -- HOW THE VIRUS WAS TRANSMITTED. >> FROM JULY THROUGH OCTOBER, 22 NBA TEAMS PLAYERS, COACHES AND STAFF LIVED, WORKED AND PLEDAY AT DISNEY WORLD’S WIDE WORLD OF SPORTS, COMPLETING THE 2019-2020 REGULAR SEASON, THE NBA PLAYOFFS AND THE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME. >> THE SEASON IS OVER, THIS HISTORIC CHAMPIONSHIP. >> THE SEASON CONCLUDED WITH ZERO CASES OF COVID-19 IN THE BUBBLE. FARON KELLEY IS THE VICE PRESIDENT OF DISNEY SPORTS. >> TREHE WAS A DOCUMENTARYN O ABOUT THE DAY SPORTS STOPPED. AND I WATCHED IT, AND IT HAD FOOTAGE FROM THE BUBBLE D ATAN WE DID HERE. AND AT THAT MOMENT, IT HIT ME THAT WE HAD REALLY -- WERE PART OF HISTORY. >> DISNEY’S NEXT DEFINING POP-CULTURE MOMENT HAS TO DO WITH A PRINCESS. NOT THE ONE FROM THIS CAST BLEUT A REAL-LIFE PRINCESS, POSSIBLY THE MOST FAMOUS WOMAN IN THE WORLD AT THE TIME. >> IN 1993, DIANA, PRINCESS DIANA BROUGHT HER TWO BOYS FOR THEIR FIRST VISIT TO THE UNITED STAT,ES AND OF COURSE, THEY WTEN TO DISNEY WORLD AS A FAMILY, THE THREE OF THEM. >> PRINCE WILLIAM WAS 11 AND HARRY WAS ONLY 8. THE INTERNATIONAL PAPARAZZI AT THE TIME, ANXIOUS TO GET A PICTURE OF THE ROYALS WHO WERE AT THE PARK SSLE THAN A ARYE AFTER PRINCESS DIANA AND PRINCE CHARLES ANNOUNCED THEIR SEPARATION. >> OTHER PAPERS ARE SPECULATING >> THE BUZZ AROUND THEIR VISIT, DOMINATED THE LOCAL NEWS TOO BACK THEN. >> IT WAS REALLY QUITE A THRILL. I>>T MADE A BIG IMPACT ON WALT DISNEY WORLD BECAUSE PEOPLE ALL OVER THE WORLD SAY IF THEY CAN HAVE SUCH A GOOD TIME, I WOULD GO THERE TOO. >> OF ALL THE FAMOUS VISITS TO DISNEY AND MOMENTS THAT HAVE UNFOLDED ALONG MAIN STREET, THERE SEEMS TO BE ONE THAT PEOP RLEEMEMBER BEST, THR EIOWN. >> MILLIONS OF IMPORNTTA EVENTS HAVE HAPPENED OVER THE PAST 50 YEARS AT DIEYSN WOR,LD BUT THE MAIN EVENTS WERE NOT RECORDED. THEY ARE EVENTS YOU HEAV TO LOOK INTO PEOPLE’S PHOTO ALBUMS. YOU HAVE TO TALK TO PEOPLE ABOUT THEIR MEMORIES. A BIG STORY HAPPENS AT DISNEY WORLD EVYER DAYNOT, THE STORIES THEY GET REPORTED. FOR SOME PEOPLE THAT TRIP TO DISNEY WORLD, IT IS THE BIGGEST, SOMETIMES HAPPIEST MEMORY OF THEIR LIFE. >> THAT IS WHAT 50 YEARS OF MAGIC IS ALL ABO

An upscale hotel in South Korea has issued an apology for a mistake that may have enabled outsiders to see into their sauna. The Grand Josun, a new five-star property on the popular resort island of Jeju, issued a statement on their website after a local blog reported that the sauna's blinds had been up for part of the day, making it possible for people to see into the women's sauna area from the street."We're deeply sorry for causing any inconveniences to our customers in using some facilities at the women's sauna at the Grand Josun Jeju Hill suite for missing mirror coating for some windows and operating the blinds," read the statement, which was posted on Feb. 18."The sauna's operation has been suspended and we're closely checking deficiencies and taking immediate action to correct them."The hotel explained that the special coating makes it impossible for people to see into the sauna during the day, but doesn't work the same way at night, which is why the blinds are supposed to come down as soon as it's dark.A Korean blogger wrote about his experience staying at the hotel, which went viral after it was posted on Feb. 15."I went on my honeymoon to Jeju Island and stayed at a suite room at a newly opened five-star hotel but my honeymoon turned out to be the worst memory of my life," wrote the blogger, explaining that he and his wife had enjoyed using the pool and sauna facilities. He adds: "On my last day I went for a walk but as I looked at the windows of the sauna I found out that I was able to see inside the sauna from outside. I could see the thermometer inside the sauna through the windows. We could see the inside of the showers and bathrooms from outside, from the hotel entrance, walk path, car park and from even hotel room balconies."My wife and I were shocked to find this out. The thought that we might have used bathrooms and showers in front of many people gives me chills and we're getting therapy treatment."According to Korea's Yonhap News Agency, the local Seogwipo police were called when guests began complaining to the hotel staff. The hotel's manager was out of town for the Lunar New Year holiday, the blogger claimed. The police are now going through CCTV footage to determine if anyone was exposed while using the facilities or if anyone was taking illicit pictures or video from outside.Amid the coronavirus pandemic, steam and dry sauna rooms have been shut, but general tubs have been open with capacity limits. As the country's borders remain closed to non-residents and quarantine laws are in place, many Koreans have opted for domestic holidays this year.
