Just three days ago, Noah Harsh and his grandpa Ed were ready to cheer on the Raiders at Paul Brown Stadium. It was a Christmas gift from grandson to grandad. Ed Fernandes grew up in Oakland and couldn't wait to watch his team take on the Bengals. But once the pair made the trip from Miamisburg to Paul Brown Stadium. The excitement and anticipation quickly faded."I just knew something was off just the way he was falling so I tried to catch him but he just fell," Harsh said.Harsh watched his grandfather stumble to the ground. As he panicked about what to do next, in came an unexpected hero."He said I'm going to do CPR, I'm an ER professional, I got this. So he started doing CPR and he got a pulse back," Harsh said.Bengals fanatic Jerry Mills, who also happens to be an emergency room nurse in Dallas, Texas, and former Covington firefighter, saw Ed collapse and sprang into action."When I started CPR another nurse came up and she opened his airway for me and we started CPR right away," Mills said. "God has a reason for everything because for me to come all the way from Texas and there were a lot of people there at the time, and nobody jumped down to check and see if he had a pulse."Harsh called Mills' actions heroic and a true godsend. The 78-year-old is still recovering at UC Medical Center. He has heart surgery scheduled for Thursday."Without Jerry we'd be telling a different story," Harsh said.A second chance, the right place at the right time. The power of kindness over competition."Thank God the prayers work and there's people out there in the world like Jerry, I thank him again, me and my family thank him again," Harsh said.

Jerry Mills is a die-hard Bengals fan.Ed Fernandes cheers for the Raiders. Before Saturday, the two were strangers. Now, they share a special bond."I believe God put me there for a reason so that man could have another day of living," Mills said. Mills had just wrapped up an afternoon of tailgating. He was on his way in to Paul Brown Stadium when he saw a Raiders fan on the ground. People in the crowd thought he was having a seizure."I look at him and, "I'm like, 'that doesn't look like a seizure activity.' I look for a pulse, he didn't have a pulse, and I was like, 'I'm going to start CPR right now,'" Mills said. Mills, who is from Cincinnati and a former Covington firefighter, currently works as an emergency room nurse in Dallas."Being a nurse for the past three years, I've always told everybody I work with, 'Look, we're not losing nobody on my shift,'" Mills said. That's how he felt outside PBS Saturday."I'm sitting there telling him, 'I'm not losing you today.' And so, the other nurse was helping and two minutes later, he got a pulse," Mills said. But then Mills said he lost it again. Mills said the other nurse who jumped in to help also acted selflessly."She took the guy's shirt, put it across his face and started to breathe into his mouth," Mills said. The two nurses continued to do what they had to to keep the Raiders fan alive until Cincinnati firefighters arrived. On Tuesday, Mills learned the name of the man he saved, Ed Fernandes of Dayton, who had planned on attending the game with his grandson, Noah.Noah told WLWT that his grandfather is still at UC Medical Center with blockages in his heart. He is scheduled to have surgery Thursday. Fernandes' family said they can't put into words how grateful they are for Mills.

<p>Gruden resigned in October amid controversy sparked by emails containing derogatory comments. </p>
<p>In a complaint filed in court, attorneys representing Gruden claim Goodell and the league "sought to destroy" his "career and reputation."</p>

<p>News first broke in October of a 2011 email that shows Gruden using racially insensitive remarks against NFL Players Association Executive Director DeMaurice Smith.</p>
<p>Other emails reportedly show Gruden using derogatory and homophobic names for Goodell and players who protested during the playing of the national anthem.</p>
<p>Gruden was is in the fourth year of a 10-year, $100 million contract he signed with the Raiders in 2018.</p>
<p>Gruden is seeking "the recovery of money in excess of $15,000.00." </p>
<p><a class="Link" href="https://www.reviewjournal.com/sports/raiders/former-raiders-coach-gruden-sues-nfl-commissioner-2477005/">The Las Vegas Review-Journal</a> reports that a spokesperson for the NFL called the allegations in the lawsuit "meritless," and vowed to "vigorously defend against these claims.”</p>

<p>The team announced Tuesday that it is removing the former Buccaneers head coach from its Ring of Honor, one day after his resignation as Las Vegas Raiders head coach.</p>
<p>"The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have advocated for purposeful change in the areas of race relations, gender equality, diversity and inclusion for many years," a team statement read. "While we acknowledge Jon Gruden's contributions on the field, his actions go against our core values as an organization. Therefore, he will no longer continue to be a member of the Buccaneers Ring of Honor."</p>

<p>The emails were discovered during an NFL investigation into workplace misconduct involving the Washington Football Team.</p>

He was fired by the organization in December 2019.</p>
<p>Gruden was in his second stint with the Raiders after signing a 10-year, $100 million contract in 2018 and helping the team transition from Oakland to Las Vegas.</p>
