<p>NEW YORK (AP) — Detroit guard Killian Hayes and Orlando's Moritz Wagner were each given multi-game suspensions for their roles in a scuffle. At the same time, the NBA suspended eight Magic players one game apiece Thursday for leaving the bench area during an altercation.</p>
<p>Hayes, who struck Wagner in the back of the head, was given a three-game suspension without pay. Wagner was banned for two games, and the Pistons' Hamidou Diallo was suspended one game by NBA executive vice president Joe Dumars — the former Pistons star player and executive.</p>
<p>The fallout from the game in Detroit on Wednesday night was so large that the suspensions of the Magic players would be staggered, so they have enough available players to play their next game.</p>
<p>Cole Anthony, R.J. Hampton, Gary Harris, Kevon Harris, Admiral Schofield, Franz Wagner, Mo Bamba, and Wendell Carter Jr. were all suspended for one game.</p>
<p>Wagner hip-checked Hayes into the Detroit bench to begin the altercation. Hayes got up and hit him in the back, and Wagner appeared to be knocked out briefly. Magic players then rushed off their bench area in concern for their teammates.</p>
<p>Anthony, Bamba, Carter Hampton, and Gary Harris will serve their suspensions Friday against Washington. Kevon Harris, Schofield, and Franz Wagner will be suspended for Orlando’s following game on Jan. 4 in Oklahoma City. </p>
<p>The 11 suspensions will result in just over $500,000 in forfeited salary. Hayes will lose the most, about $121,000.</p>

A Middletown family's Disney vacation turns into heartbreak as their 12-year-old son ends up in the ICU on a ventilator with the flu. They've been there since earlier this month and don't think they'll be able to come home until at least Thanksgiving."I never imagined us being here this long or even being in the ICU," mother, Vanessa Baker, said.Baker and her family left Middletown and drove to Florida on Oct. 3 to make magical memories at Disney World. But after a day at the park and another in the Fun Zone, she said her son, Kameron Miller, 12, had a sore throat and a cough."He was so excited to come. He talked about it for weeks. We all kind of needed a break with the whole last year. How it's been, like, stressful," Baker said. She said he has autism and asthma.Baker took her son to the emergency room and she said things got worse."After the breathing treatment is really whenever he was like, I can't breathe. He was, like, wanting shots. He wanted them to give him something," she said.Baker said eventually her son was intubated and taken to Nemours Children's Hospital in Orlando where they've been since. She said doctors are considering he may have MIS-C, multisystem inflammatory syndrome, which is a condition linked to COVID-19.Baker said her son has COVID-19 antibodies, but tests negative now.She believes he may have had an asymptomatic case at some point in the past year.Baker told WLWT her son also has the flu and acute respiratory distress syndrome."There's no definite time limit on how long we're going to be here and there's, no, like idea of how he'll go home," she said. For now, she stays by her son's side as he remains on a ventilator. She said she misses hearing him talk and seeing his smile. It's been three weeks since he has been able to talk, according to Baker."He's fun and energetic. He tries to make friends," she said. She hopes they soon make those Disney World memories together."There's hard times and then there's good times. I just know that he's in the best place that he can be," Baker said.Kameron's mother said he had only turned 12 just before their trip, so he wasn't vaccinated. She said he has been through a lot so far and had a collapsed lung last week. They're hoping to wean him off of so much medication and the ventilator in the coming days. She said Kameron's siblings are staying with his grandmother. His grandmother told us both children miss their parents and are thinking of their brother.Baker said they hope to be home by Thanksgiving and neither parent is working as they stay at the hospital. The family has started a GoFundMe page to help with expenses: https://www.gofundme.com/f/xh7jv-medical-and-expenses

BECAME THE BACKDROP FOR REAL HEADLINES. &gt;&gt; THERE ARE SO MANY EXCITING THINGS THAT HAVE HAPPENED AT WALT DISNEY WORLD OVER THE YEARS, IT IS HARD TO PICK ONE. &gt;&gt; WE HAVE PICKED THE TOP FIVE. DISNEY WORLD’S FIRST FOOTNOTE IN HISTORY CAME TWO YEARS AFTER IT OPEN,ED NOVEMBER 17, 1973. &gt;&gt; PRESIDENT RICHARD NIXON WAS THERE SHORTLY AFTER WATERGATE AND WAS GIVING A SPEECH TO THE PRESS AT ONE OF THE BALLROOMS. THERE WAS A QUESTION AND ANSWER CTSEION AFTER AND HE BLURTED OUT -- &gt;&gt; I AM NOT A CROOK. &gt;&gt; AND THAT BECAME HUGE IN THE AMERICAN LEXICON AND A BIG POP CULTURE MOMENT. &gt;&gt; EVEN PEOPLE WHO KNOW NOTHING ABOUT RICHAR NDIXON PROBAYBL KNOW "I AM NOT A CROOK." MOST PEOE,PL HOWEVER, DO TNO REALIZE THAT WAS UTTERED ON THE GROUNDS O WALT DISNEY WORLD. &gt;&gt; PEOPLE HAVE GOTO TKNOW -- &gt;&gt; YEARS LATER, IT WAS THE BACKDROP FOR HEADLINES AGAIN, AND A BREAKUP THAT ROCKED ROCK ' ’N’ ROLL IN DECEMBER OF 1974, THE END OF THE BEATLES. &gt;&gt; THE WRITING WAS ALREADY ON THE WALL BY THE LATE 1960’S. &gt;&gt; BOB THOMPSON IS A POP CULTURE EXPERT AND PROFESSOR AT SYRACUSE UNIVERSITY. HE SAYS THE BREAKUP OF THE BEATLES UNRAVELED OVER A NUMBER OF YEARS, BUT BY DECEERMB OF 1970 FOUR, PAUL, GEORGE AND RINGO HAD ALL SIGNED THE PAPERWORK DISSOLVING THE PARTNERSP.HI &gt;&gt; AND THEY ONLY NEED ONE MORE SIGNATURE, JOHN LENNON. WHERE DOES HE HAPPEN TO BE WHEN THE DOCUMENTATIONS ARRIVE? THE POLYNESIAN RESORT IN NONE OTHER THAN DISNEY WORLD. SO WHILE DISNEY WORLD DIDN’T CAUSE THE BREAKUP OF THE BEATLES, THE OFFICIAL LAST CHAPTER IN THE BREAKUP OF THE BEATLES ACTUALLY HAPPENED WIINTH SIGHT OF THE MAGIC KINGDOM. &gt;&gt; CELEBRATIONS,OT N BREAKUPS, ARE MORE DISNEY’S STYLE, SO LET’S GET THE PARTY STARTEDITH W OUR NEXT TOP MOMENT FROM 1987. &gt;&gt; I AM GOING TO DISNEY WORLD. &gt;&gt; WORDS THAT HAVE NOW BEEN FIVE UTTERED BY EVERYONE FROM MI SS AMERICA TO REALY ITTV STARS. IT ALL BEGAN IN EARNEST WITH SUPER BOWL 21 MVP QUARTERBACK PHIL SIMMS AFTER THE NEW YORK GIANTS BEAT E BUTHFFALO BIS.LL &gt;&gt; THE STORY GOES HEAS W PAID, SOME REPORTS SAY $50,000, OTHERS $75,000. &gt;&gt; WHEN I HRDEA HIM SAY THAT, I THOUGHT THAT WAS SO COLD. -- SO COOL. YOU KNOW, DISNEY WORLD MEA ANS LOT TO NOT ONLY ME, BUT YOUR KIDS AND THE WHOLE WORLD. &gt;&gt; THAT VERY NEXT YEAR, AHEAOFD SUPER BOWL 22 IN 1988 DOUG WILLIAMS, QUARTERBACK FOR WASHINGT,ON D.C.’S TEAM, WAS APPROACHED. &gt;&gt; THE NIGHT BEFORE, ONE OF THE LADIES WHO WORKED FOR DISNEYT A THE TIME CAMTOE ME AND SAID, HEY, YOU KNOW, IF YOU WIN, YOU KNOW, YOU, WE WANT YOU TO YSA THIS. AFTER THE GAME, YOU KN,OW WALKING OFF THE GAME PEOPLE WAS AROUND ME. AND I HAD MY HELMET UP IN THE AIR. THE ONLY THING I WAS WORRIED ABOUT WAS THE FACT THAT WE WAS THE WORLD CHAMPION, AND NOTHING ELSE MATTERED, THEN I FELT SOMETHING HIT ME ON THE LEG. SHE WAS A SHT ORLADY. AND SHE SAID, HEY, DISNEY WORLD, DISNEY WORLD. AND I LOOKED DOWN, AND I JTUS TURNED AROUND AND SAID, HEY, I’M GOING TO DISNEY WORLD. &gt;&gt; IN 2020, DISNEY STEPPED BACK INTO THE SPORTS ARENA HELPING TO GIVE THE NBA A BUBBLE TO PLAY THEIR ASSEON AMID THE CODVI PANDEMIC. &gt;&gt; HAD WE KNOWN WT WHAWEREE ASKED TO DO AT THE TIME, I AM NOT SO SURE WE WOULD HAVE SAID WE COULD DO IT BECAUSEHE TREAS W SO MUCH UNKNOWN. WE DIDN’T EVEN KNOW AT THAT TIME -- OR NO ONE DID -- HOW THE VIRUS WAS TRANSMITTED. &gt;&gt; FROM JULY THROUGH OCTOBER, 22 NBA TEAMS PLAYERS, COACHES AND STAFF LIVED, WORKED AND PLEDAY AT DISNEY WORLD’S WIDE WORLD OF SPORTS, COMPLETING THE 2019-2020 REGULAR SEASON, THE NBA PLAYOFFS AND THE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME. &gt;&gt; THE SEASON IS OVER, THIS HISTORIC CHAMPIONSHIP. &gt;&gt; THE SEASON CONCLUDED WITH ZERO CASES OF COVID-19 IN THE BUBBLE. FARON KELLEY IS THE VICE PRESIDENT OF DISNEY SPORTS. &gt;&gt; TREHE WAS A DOCUMENTARYN O ABOUT THE DAY SPORTS STOPPED. AND I WATCHED IT, AND IT HAD FOOTAGE FROM THE BUBBLE D ATAN WE DID HERE. AND AT THAT MOMENT, IT HIT ME THAT WE HAD REALLY -- WERE PART OF HISTORY. &gt;&gt; DISNEY’S NEXT DEFINING POP-CULTURE MOMENT HAS TO DO WITH A PRINCESS. NOT THE ONE FROM THIS CAST BLEUT A REAL-LIFE PRINCESS, POSSIBLY THE MOST FAMOUS WOMAN IN THE WORLD AT THE TIME. &gt;&gt; IN 1993, DIANA, PRINCESS DIANA BROUGHT HER TWO BOYS FOR THEIR FIRST VISIT TO THE UNITED STAT,ES AND OF COURSE, THEY WTEN TO DISNEY WORLD AS A FAMILY, THE THREE OF THEM. &gt;&gt; PRINCE WILLIAM WAS 11 AND HARRY WAS ONLY 8. THE INTERNATIONAL PAPARAZZI AT THE TIME, ANXIOUS TO GET A PICTURE OF THE ROYALS WHO WERE AT THE PARK SSLE THAN A ARYE AFTER PRINCESS DIANA AND PRINCE CHARLES ANNOUNCED THEIR SEPARATION. &gt;&gt; OTHER PAPERS ARE SPECULATING &gt;&gt; THE BUZZ AROUND THEIR VISIT, DOMINATED THE LOCAL NEWS TOO BACK THEN. &gt;&gt; IT WAS REALLY QUITE A THRILL. I&gt;&gt;T MADE A BIG IMPACT ON WALT DISNEY WORLD BECAUSE PEOPLE ALL OVER THE WORLD SAY IF THEY CAN HAVE SUCH A GOOD TIME, I WOULD GO THERE TOO. &gt;&gt; OF ALL THE FAMOUS VISITS TO DISNEY AND MOMENTS THAT HAVE UNFOLDED ALONG MAIN STREET, THERE SEEMS TO BE ONE THAT PEOP RLEEMEMBER BEST, THR EIOWN. &gt;&gt; MILLIONS OF IMPORNTTA EVENTS HAVE HAPPENED OVER THE PAST 50 YEARS AT DIEYSN WOR,LD BUT THE MAIN EVENTS WERE NOT RECORDED. THEY ARE EVENTS YOU HEAV TO LOOK INTO PEOPLE’S PHOTO ALBUMS. YOU HAVE TO TALK TO PEOPLE ABOUT THEIR MEMORIES. A BIG STORY HAPPENS AT DISNEY WORLD EVYER DAYNOT, THE STORIES THEY GET REPORTED. FOR SOME PEOPLE THAT TRIP TO DISNEY WORLD, IT IS THE BIGGEST, SOMETIMES HAPPIEST MEMORY OF THEIR LIFE. &gt;&gt; THAT IS WHAT 50 YEARS OF MAGIC IS ALL ABO

A Florida family took schooling — and living — during the pandemic into their own hands. The Clemons family has been living out of an RV and traveling the country. They've has been on the road for almost a year, turning their passion into a lifestyle. Like so many of us, they were stuck at home last year working and studying while wishing they were traveling. So they decided to make their dream a reality. "I lost my mom at the beginning of 2020 after being a caregiver for many years," Jenn Clemons said. Her husband, Mark, lost his father a month later. And then the pandemic hit. "So we were like, why not just sell everything, and I'll homeschool the kids. And we'll just travel," Jenn said. Clemons said he was not only on board, he could not wait to get their three kids on the road. The Clemons sold their house of nearly 20 years and moved into their new home on wheels. "We moved in on Oct. 1, and we’re coming up on our year and it's been fantastic," Mark said. This week, they are in Montana. But they are constantly changing locations. So far, they’ve visited 17 states and 18 national parks. Jenn and Mark are college sweethearts who met at the University of Central Florida and have three kids. Now, they are on their next great adventure and are not looking back. "The American dream doesn’t have to be overbooking your kids and working 60 hours a week," Jenn said. "It can mean taking the kids and showing them the world because reading it in the book is just not the same as seeing it in person."The Clemons plan to stay on the road indefinitely. Their original plan was actually to sail around the world. But since there was a run on catamarans last year, they ended up in an RV. So taking to the water is the next adventure. Watch the video above for the full story.

<p>ORLANDO, Fla. — A Florida restaurant manager noticed a family was withholding food from a boy at the table, and that the boy had bruises on his body. So she wrote a simple note asking him if he needed help, and when he nodded yes, she called the police, authorities said.</p>
<p>Orlando police credited Flaviane Carvalho, who manages Mrs. Potato Restaurant, with coming to the 11-year-old boy's aid on New Year's Eve when the child's parents weren't looking. </p>
<p>Police took the boy to a hospital where doctors found bruises on his face, earlobes and arms. He also was 20 pounds underweight, Detective Erin Lawler told local media.</p>

<p>"'Abuse,' I say lightly," Lawler said Thursday at a news conference. "It was torture."</p>
<p>The boy told detectives that he had been tied by his ankles and neck and hung upside down from a door in his home. He also told detectives that his stepfather beat him with a wooden broom, a back scratcher and closed fists, and that he'd been handcuffed and tied to a large moving dolly, according to the Orlando Sentinel.</p>
<p>The boy's 34-year-old stepfather was arrested on charges of child abuse and neglect on the night the waitress called police, according to an arrest affidavit.</p>
<p>The child's 31-year-old mother, who was also at the restaurant, was arrested a week later on a child neglect charge.</p>
<p>An online court docket showed no attorneys listed for either the stepfather or mother.</p>

For Ruth Sintilus, finally, some relief came amid sadness and worry after the earthquake hit Haiti. The Central Florida woman was able to get in touch with family after days of uncertainty. "They told me they got a lot of losses, but thank God they're still alive," Sintilus said. "My grandmother's house has collapsed. She was in there and she got hurt."Osma Pierre, who also lives in Central Florida, remembers vividly the earthquake that hit Haiti more than a decade ago when he lived there. He's heartbroken seeing similar devastation again, knowing people he loves are hurting."I have some of my family hurt by this earthquake," Pierre said. "Even if someone is not part of my nation or people, we are all human beings. We are all created by God, yes, we are all concerned and hurt."Sintilus and Pierre both attend the Triumphant Baptist Church in Orlando where Oreste Saint Filus is the pastor. "Brothers and sisters, when somebody's crying, we're crying too," Saint Filus said. As the pastor consoles other members as well who are grieving people they lost or facing uncertainty still, he's also trying to find ways to be helpful for the people in Haiti. "All the Haitian pastors in the community we are all doing the same thing. We need some help to help those that are suffering right there in Haiti," he said. The pastor says he will work to make some kind of action plan in the coming days to send aid to Haiti.

<p>WASHINGTON (AP) — A Florida politician who is a central figure in the federal sex trafficking investigation into Rep. Matt Gaetz has agreed to cooperate with federal investigators.</p>
<p>In a plea agreement filed Friday in court in Orlando, Florida, Joel Greenberg admits he paid an underage girl to have sex with him and other unidentified men.</p>
<p>The agreement obtained by <a class="Link" href="https://apnews.com/article/greenberg-gaetz-investigation-sex-trafficking-596299907a6a4db09554cdf4a59d8ef7">The Associated Press</a> and <a class="Link" href="https://www.cnn.com/2021/05/14/politics/greenberg-plea-agreement/index.html">CNN</a> says the former Seminole County tax collector admitted to recruiting women for sex acts and paying them more than $70,000 from 2016 to 2018.</p>
<p>The underage girl was among them and according to the plea deal, Greenberg first met her online and later invited her to at least one hotel in Florida, where he and others would have sex with her and supply her and others with ecstasy.</p>
<p>Greenberg is expected to plead guilty to six federal charges during a court appearance on Monday.</p>
<p>His cooperation as a close associate of the Florida congressman signals a significant escalation in the Justice Department’s investigation into whether Gaetz and Greenberg paid underage girls or offered them gifts in exchange for sex.</p>
<p>The plea agreement doesn't mention Gaetz, who has denied wrongdoing and has said he will not resign from his congressional seat.</p>

<p>ORLANDO, Fla. — Busch Gardens, Walt Disney World Resort, and Universal Orlando have made changes to their COVID-19 guidelines.</p>
<p><b>Busch Gardens Tampa Bay</b></p>
<p>On Thursday, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay no longer took temperature checks upon entry.</p>
<p>"We are committed to the health &amp; safety of our employees, guests, and the animals in our care. Our guidelines have been updated to remove temperature screenings for our guests, and we continue to operate with enhanced health and safety measures, including limited capacity, reservations, physical distancing, enhanced cleaning and sanitation procedures, and face-covering requirements," the park said in a statement.</p>
<p>The park said it would also be "altering physical distancing protocols in certain locations within the parks from six to three feet. The additional space will allow more access to venues while allowing guests to maintain appropriate physical distancing."</p>

<p><b>Walt Disney World Resort</b></p>
<p>Following the advice of the CDC and local health officials, Walt Disney World Resort will phase out the on-site temperature screenings at the parks for cast members beginning May 8 and guests beginning May 16.</p>
<p>"We will continue to follow the guidance of health and safety leaders going forward and most importantly encourage people to get vaccinated," the website stated.</p>
<p>As of now, temperature screenings are required for entry at some locations. Guests have to undergo a temperature screening with no-touch thermometers before entry.</p>
<p>The park asks guests to check the temperatures of everyone in your party as an extra layer of precaution.</p>

<p><b>Universal Orlando</b></p>
<p>Starting Thursday, May 6, Universal Orlando will no longer take temperature checks upon entry. </p>
<p>The park has also changed their social distancing between travel parties. It has been reduced to 3 feet (1 meter) instead of 6 feet.</p>
<p>"Still, most of our original safety protocols remain unchanged—from wearing face coverings across our Resort to our ongoing dedication to cleanliness and sanitization," the website stated.</p>
