If you share your Netflix password with others, the streaming service will be cracking down on it beginning early next year.

Netflix unveiled how they plan to do just that Tuesday during its earnings report, the Associated Press reported.

In March, CNN reported that the company began testing two features, "extra member" and "profile transfer," with its customers in Chile, Costa Rica, and Peru.

The "profile transfer" allows viewers to transfer their current profile to a new account, the Associated Press reported.

The company launched the "profile transfer" on Monday in the U.S.

How it'll work is you'll hover over your profile icon in the dropdown menu on the homepage, select “Transfer Profile," then continue following the instructions, the company said on its website.

“We’ve landed on a thoughtful approach to monetize account sharing, and we’ll begin rolling this out more broadly starting in early 2023,” the company said in a letter to shareholders, USA Today reported. “After listening to consumer feedback, we are going to offer the ability for borrowers to transfer their Netflix profile into their own account, and for sharers to manage their devices more easily and to create subaccounts (“extra member”) if they want to pay for family or friends.”

According to CNN, a fee to add the “extra member” option has not been announced, but in Costa Rica, consumers paid $3.

The company also announced during Tuesday's meeting that it gained 2.4 million subscribers in its third quarter, which is a bounce back after it lost 1.2 million customers during the first half of 2022, the Associated Press reported.

The news outlet reported that Netflix hopes they'll add 4.5 million subscribers during the October-December period.

Hot coffee was thrown at a Frisch's employee amid a fight.A former employee has been charged and arrested and it's still not clear why the fight happened in the first place. As of Monday night, the suspect, Lauren Ward, 38, was still listed as booked in the Hamilton County Jail charged with felonious assault.According to Hamilton County Court, Ward was arraigned on Monday.Police said she threw scalding hot coffee on another employee causing burns. It was piping hot trouble brewing at the Frisch's restaurant on Bridgetown Road."There's two people in here fighting," an employee told a 911 dispatcher. The sign outside advertises "Fresh and Fun," but on Nov. 8, police said things took a sour, angry turn.Cheviot police said Ward allegedly waited for the victim employee to come to work, started yelling and as a manager tried to step between the two, Ward threw a cup of hot coffee at the victim employee.Police said Ward also gouged the victim employee's left eye.Cheviot police said the 58-year-old victim employee was burned.According to a report, the roasting coffee splashed all over the victim's chest, face and eyes. Then, witnesses said Ward left the establishment.Investigators said she went to her apartment before officers arrived and no one would answer the door.Meanwhile, others comforted the victim employee."She's having trouble seeing out of her eye. They're coming, hun. I've got an ambulance coming and the police are coming," an employee said while on the phone with a dispatcher.Police said the victim employee was taken to UC Medical Center for burns to her face, a gouged left eye and coffee possibly in her eyes.Ward's bond was set at $5,000 and the case heads to a grand jury on Dec. 1.A manager at the Frisch's told WLWT the victim employee is doing OK.A man who identified himself as the victim employee's son also told us she was doing OK.So far, we have not been able to talk with the victim directly.Cheviot police said video exists showing what happened. We have requested a copy and expect to get it in the coming days.WLWT also reached out to Frisch's media contact for a statement, but we have not heard back.

A Middletown family's Disney vacation turns into heartbreak as their 12-year-old son ends up in the ICU on a ventilator with the flu. They've been there since earlier this month and don't think they'll be able to come home until at least Thanksgiving."I never imagined us being here this long or even being in the ICU," mother, Vanessa Baker, said.Baker and her family left Middletown and drove to Florida on Oct. 3 to make magical memories at Disney World. But after a day at the park and another in the Fun Zone, she said her son, Kameron Miller, 12, had a sore throat and a cough."He was so excited to come. He talked about it for weeks. We all kind of needed a break with the whole last year. How it's been, like, stressful," Baker said. She said he has autism and asthma.Baker took her son to the emergency room and she said things got worse."After the breathing treatment is really whenever he was like, I can't breathe. He was, like, wanting shots. He wanted them to give him something," she said.Baker said eventually her son was intubated and taken to Nemours Children's Hospital in Orlando where they've been since. She said doctors are considering he may have MIS-C, multisystem inflammatory syndrome, which is a condition linked to COVID-19.Baker said her son has COVID-19 antibodies, but tests negative now.She believes he may have had an asymptomatic case at some point in the past year.Baker told WLWT her son also has the flu and acute respiratory distress syndrome."There's no definite time limit on how long we're going to be here and there's, no, like idea of how he'll go home," she said. For now, she stays by her son's side as he remains on a ventilator. She said she misses hearing him talk and seeing his smile. It's been three weeks since he has been able to talk, according to Baker."He's fun and energetic. He tries to make friends," she said. She hopes they soon make those Disney World memories together."There's hard times and then there's good times. I just know that he's in the best place that he can be," Baker said.Kameron's mother said he had only turned 12 just before their trip, so he wasn't vaccinated. She said he has been through a lot so far and had a collapsed lung last week. They're hoping to wean him off of so much medication and the ventilator in the coming days. She said Kameron's siblings are staying with his grandmother. His grandmother told us both children miss their parents and are thinking of their brother.Baker said they hope to be home by Thanksgiving and neither parent is working as they stay at the hospital. The family has started a GoFundMe page to help with expenses: https://www.gofundme.com/f/xh7jv-medical-and-expenses

With just three days left in 2020, the number of homicides and shootings in Cincinnati have already broken records, marking the city's deadliest year.So far, there have been at least 90 homicides and at least 484 shootings.Police and community leaders hope to reverse the trend in 2021.They said there are a number of factors leading to this outcome, including the pandemic, job loss and in some cases, a lack of even basic necessities.Community outreach advocates said it has been harder to address these needs from a distance. At one homicide scene in Cincinnati, neighbors echoed how exhausting and overwhelming violence has become along their streets.Yet the same heartbreak has been felt across the Queen City, as 484 shootings, with 85 of them deadly, shatter a struggling society in the face of the pandemic."Right now, they're on defense mode, and not only defense mode, survival mode, and that's what's happening right now on the streets," Pastor Peterson Mingo said.Mingo works with the Cincinnati Police God Squad on those very streets, trying to connect with the disconnected. He said a feeling of togetherness, of community, has been nearly muted by COVID-19."Because of the pandemic, a lot of that is gone, and now, people who basically could be talked down of basically doing the things that they were thinking about doing and not having that buffer, someone to come there and basically mediate the situation for them," Mingo said.City of Cincinnati data sheds light on homicides in past years. In 2017, there were 73 homicides. In 2018, there were 61 homicides.Last year, there were 74 homicides. In 2020, there's been a nearly 22% increase from 2019, with at least 90 homicides. As of Sunday, data we calculated shows Cincinnati outranks Chicago at 29.6 homicides per 100,000 people.Chicago has counted 772 homicides in the same time-frame, which equates to 28.66 homicides per 100,000 people. The city reported 475 homicides in mid-December 2019.Police said connecting with the community through gun violence outreach workers, as well as work by the Gun Crimes Task Force will be a big part of efforts to reduce violence in 2021.More than 1,400 illegal or stolen guns have been recovered this year compared to 1,057 guns in 2019, according to CPD.Mingo said while this increase in gun violence is not a uniquely Cincinnati issue, it is a cry for help."It's nationwide, and if it's nationwide, then there's a common problem," he said.Mingo said people are struggling to pay bills, feed their families and survive, and he fears for what the city may look like on the other side of the pandemic when assistance fades. He hopes to see a more connected 2021 to stop the violence.Cincinnati police said they also plan to strengthen partnerships with federal officials to help curb shootings. They said oftentimes, shootings are sparked by risky behaviors, gambling in the streets and drugs by a small number of people.

DORA cups are coming to downtown Cincinnati before Opening Day and that means you can take your favorite beverage to-go and hop from bar to bar along The Banks without a problem.City officials said there's still a lot being finalized, but the excitement along Freedom Way is building."I think it's a good idea because everyone's been so cooped up in their houses for this long and honestly, people want to get out and have fun," Rob Weidig said.Weidig is excited because you can soon grab a drink and take a stroll or dance if you'd like, outside at The Banks."I think it would be a first glimpse of normalcy for everyone and I think that's what we need. We need hope and we need progress moving into the future," Dan Collins said.City council approved a "Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area" and pedestrian walkway to help restaurants and bars hurt by the pandemic.People can grab a boozy beverage in a sanctioned DORA cup and share in the Cincy love of spring.Officials said the hours will run from 11 a.m. until 1 a.m., once the DORA is up and going.Cold beer, libations and bourbon will be more mobile than ever before in time for Reds Opening Day."I think it's exciting. I think more people will actually come with it being outside," Liz Brohas said.Jackie Reau, with Game Day Communications, said DORA on The Banks will start with a toast on March 25 and an announcement of guidelines. She said there are plans to install signage, mapping and sidewalk tattoos throughout the district's 85 acres and there will be extra law enforcement. The DORA stretches from Paul Brown Stadium to Heritage Bank Center, from Second Street to Mehring Way."In the summer, they did that thing on like Newport on the Levee and it was really awesome to be outside and, like, just feel, like, more normal," Gretchen Hinkel said.Reau said officials are also working on guidelines to prevent groups from growing too large, and she said the district will follow mandates including social distancing.People we talked with are ready to take their cups outside."I think it's really exciting. I mean, during Bengals games, they kind of do a little mini-version of that right here and there's such a good response. Everyone loves being outside, carrying their drink from place to place," Olivia Kennedy said.Officials said you cannot bring your own beverage to the DORA.People who venture outside of the DORA with their cups could be on the hook for an open container violation. We also reached out to the mayor's office for more insight into the plans, guidelines and rules, but a spokeswoman did not return a call, text or email.

New video shows what it looked like inside Dave & Buster's in Springdale as a large fight exploded.Families were startled, and employees warned police that a gun and a Taser were involved.Police said a man was found shot nearby.WLWT talked with a man who happened to be in the restaurant and arcade celebrating a birthday as it all unfolded and used his phone to record some of it.A number of employees called 911 for help begging police to hurry."I just can't believe that I witnessed that, that that stuff actually happens," Chandler Davis said.Davis said he captured video of the fight on Monday night inside Dave & Buster's.He was there for his girlfriend's sister's 21st birthday celebration, but this was no way to mark that milestone."I see a bunch of men throwing fists at each other, so I decided to record it and I didn't want to get too close because there was a girl there with a stun gun and she was going around hitting a bunch of guys in the neck with it," Davis said. The video he captured showed the intensity of it all.Five employees called 911 asking police to hurry as the fighting only got worse."It's like 10, 15 people and they're fighting. They've got Tasers and everything," an employee said during a 911 call.In the calls, employees tell 911 dispatchers someone has a gun.Davis saw their reaction in real time as the fight continued inside and eventually moved outside."We were sitting there and one of the workers came running back inside and he didn't say he had a gun but he was like, 'Everybody stay in here' and like, 'Stay down,'" he said.Springdale police found a 37-year-old man shot nearby. He is expected to be OK.Police said no one was arrested, but they are making progress.Meanwhile, Davis isn't sure he will be back."Just don't do it in public, if anything. Just don't do it at all at that. Just, especially not in public around kids, because I was right by a family and they had a little kid and they were really, really freaked out," he said.Springdale police said they have set up a meeting to talk with Dave & Buster's about security and preventing this from happening again. They were at this arcade earlier this year for fights and shots were fired near a neighboring business, though no one was hit.Dave & Buster's has not responded to our request for comment.Anyone with information about this fight should call Springdale Police at 513-346-5760 or Crime Stoppers at 513-352-3040.
