PITTSBURGH —

Two people are dead and at least nine are injured after a shooting in Pittsburgh's North Side early Sunday morning, police said.

Investigators were gathering evidence from multiple crime scenes after the shooting in the city's East Allegheny neighborhood. Police were asking people to avoid the area.

Police said the shooting happened at a party at an Airbnb. About 200 people were inside at the time, police said.

Video shared on social media showed the chaos inside the party. Gunshots can be heard in the background as panicked people rushed to flee the home.

As many as 50 rounds were fired inside the party, prompting some attendees to jump out windows, sustaining injuries from their falls such as broken bones and lacerations.

Police said there were nine individual scenes connected to the shooting, spanning a few blocks in the general area.
