Manchester, New Hampshire, police said a woman is charged after they found her baby boy in a New Hampshire wooded area.Alexandra Eckersley, 26, was arrested on a felony charge of reckless conduct as well as an unrelated charge from Concord District Court for endangering the welfare of a child.Police said the boy was treated by EMTs and hospitalized at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center.District Fire Chief Jon Starr said the baby was exposed and in the cold. "It was hard for our crews to deal with," Starr said. Officials said the baby is alive and improving. "There is no excuse for this," Manchester police Chief Allen Aldenberg said. "If you choose to live in the woods and choose to live your life a particular way and you choose not to accept our outreach, fine. But you don't get to do this to do what we are alleging to a child."Police said they responded at 12:40 a.m. Monday to a woman who reportedly gave birth in the woods.Authorities searched the area for an hour with Eckersley's directions but could not find the child. They said Eckersley, who is the daughter of baseball hall-of-famer Dennis Eckersley, then told investigators the baby's true location and led them there. Investigators said the baby was in a large tent. There was a heat source that was turned off. Crews said they had to hike the boy out of the woods for a fire truck awaiting them. <p>Alaska State Troopers found a newborn baby in a cardboard box on Dec. 31, according to the Alaska Department of Public Safety.</p>
<p>The child was discovered at an intersection, and "seemed to have been abandoned at the location recently."</p>
<p>The agency said a note was left with the child that indicated the parent could not take care of the baby.</p>
<p>The letter, which is documented in the <a class="Link" href="https://nypost.com/2022/01/02/baby-found-abandoned-in-alaska-with-heartbreaking-note-from-mother/">New York Post</a>, says, "My mom is so sad to do this. Please take me and find me a LOVING FAMILY. My parents are begging whoever finds me. My name is Teshawn.”</p>
<p>The note says the child was born premature. It also says the child's biological family did not have food or the resources to care for the newborn.</p>
<p>The Alaska Department of Public Safety said the baby was taken to a hospital in "good health."</p>
<p>The agency is asking for anyone with information about the child's family to come forward.</p>

Oh, give me a kiss. Oh Carrie. Patani and her husband tim are full of joy tonight. He's happy Now back home in Peoria after adding a big addition to their family. Family just goes along with everything. He's a very well behaved baby. Carrie says her new baby boy is a miracle. The parents of two sons have been trying to have another child unsuccessfully since last year suffering two miscarriages along the way. 17 miscarriages prior to having their two year old. Two of those miscarriages were even sets of twins. So it was very difficult despite heartbreak, after heartbreak, the couple pushed forward and just last monday Kerry delivered a whopper of a little brother. They were like, oh my gosh, I can't believe he's so big, they couldn't wait to get him on the scale. Finley now 10 days old came out at an amazing £14.1. The average newborn around half that he's also tall at nearly 24 inches, needless to say the doctors who delivered him were impressed. They got him on the skin like 14.1, I've never seen it that big. The doctors and one of the sweetest nurses there. Um they were all taken like selfies with us, They ask permission of course, but they were just so pumped. Finley came in so big carry and tim. Quickly realized the baby clothes they picked out weren't going to work. In fact, this was supposed to be Finley's homecoming outfit instead. He's sporting this one. This guy right here was 11, 11 and this one was 82. So we're used to having big babies. He's also already wearing size two diapers. As you can imagine, predictions of his future are already rolling in football player, get them in those pads. What's clear is the larger the baby, the more love in this home. And in the end, Finley's big brothers may have foreshadowed his big debut when he was born. He was my Doctors top five of the biggest and I was like, just you wait, I'm going to get to the top of the list just totally joking two years ago and then, you know, we accidentally did it. So I'm Cameron Pullum abc 15 Arizona.

After experiencing several miscarriages, an Arizona couple is celebrating a big miracle. Cary Patonai and her husband, Tim, have two sons and have been trying to have another child for the past year. The couple went through two miscarriages during that time, which followed 17 miscarriages before having their second child. "Two of those miscarriages were even sets of twins, so it was very difficult," Cary told KNXV.When the child the couple had been praying for finally arrived, the delivery nurses were in for a surprise. Finnley weighed 14.1 pounds."They were like, 'Oh my gosh,'" Cary said. "They couldn't believe he was so big. They couldn't wait to get him on the scale."Cary said the doctors and nurses were excited and taking pictures with the family. "They asked permission, of course, but they were just so pumped," she said. Finnley didn't fit in the clothes they brought to the hospital, so they had to make a quick wardrobe change. At 10 days old, he's wearing size 2 diapers. The couple is used to welcoming big baby boys into their family. When their second-oldest son was born, he was in the top five of the biggest babies Cary's doctor had delivered. "I was like, 'Just you wait, I'm gonna get to the top of the list,' totally joking two years ago, and then we accidentally, we did it," Cary said.

We'll open up your right, still gushing over the newest member of the family. Little Birdie Eve coming into this world just 18 days ago and she already has quite the story to tell. We thought it was gonna be the 24th but she's surprised to stop the tiny baby girl already delivering the best birthday present a grandma and great grandma could ask for. I mean how can you plan that? Really? How can you plan it? You kept saying I did from the day I heard she was doing september, I said she's gonna people weren't on our birthday, 60 year old Shelly Parker says birdies grandma next to her. Her mom gail now 96 september 12th 1926 1961 in 2021 yep you heard it right? Three generations separated by nearly 100 years. All born on the same day. I never thought she would have been born on my mom's birthday. And she has been saying that since the beginning it's going to happen on her birthday and I'm like no it's not, it's the 24 smiling now for new mom and dad, Marissa and Nicholas. The reason Bernie came when she did was a little scary health complications, forced marisa to be induced ahead of her due date over two weeks early. I couldn't have an epidural so I had to go in early so that I could have a safe delivery because if they want, if I waited any longer it wouldn't have been safe. So that's why I got induced early and I'm like oh well maybe she will be born on that day, induced on the 11th. Told to expect it to take until the 13th. Sure enough, Birdie arrived just when she was destined to. I can't really describe it. If you're wondering what the chances of this happening are we crunched the numbers according to us. Census. The probability is approximately one and 133,000 numbers aside. Great grandma, Gayle, put it best. You thank the good Lord. Yes, you do. You sure do on camera Pullum abc 15 Arizona.

Birdie Eve's birthday will always be a special day. That's because the newborn from Phoenix, Arizona, shares it with her grandmother and great-grandmother.On Sept. 12, Birdie's arrival was the best birthday gift for Shelley Parkhurst, 60, and her mother, Gail, 96."We thought it was going to be the 24th but she surprised us all," Parkhurst told KNXV. "I mean, how can you plan that? Really, how can you plan it?"Birdie's parents — Marissa Mendoza and Nicholas Parkhurst — were just as surprised by the coincidental birthdate."I never thought she'd be born on my mom's birthday, " Nicholas Parkhurst said. "She has been saying it since the beginning that it's gonna happen on her birthday, and I'm like, 'No it's not, it's the 24th."Birdie's early arrival came due to some health complications and her parents are glad she arrived safely."I couldn't have an epidural, so I had to go in early, so that I could have a safe delivery because, if I waited any longer, it wouldn't have been safe, so that's why I got induced early, and I'm like, 'Oh, well, maybe she will be born on that day,'" Mendoza said.Even after Mendoza was induced on Sept. 11, nurses told her Birdie may not arrive until Sept. 13. Instead, she was born on a day so special to her family. "I can't really describe it," Mendoza said.

Barbarita Acosta, or affectionately nicknamed Barbie, is celebrating her first birthday this weekend. The infant already overcame extraordinary medical odds. Barbie was born with neonatal lupus, a rare condition that attacked her heart. At just five days old she received a pacemaker. But after a few weeks, doctors said she needed to find a heart donor. “They told us that very same day that by the end of the night she would be life-lifted out of there,” mother Angel Moreno said. “So, we came home and packed up as soon as we can. And we just got in the car and followed the helicopter. Tried to beat it there.”Barbie spent more than 200 days at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford. “Barbie was born with a condition called neonatal lupus, which is a condition in which the mother has antibodies that can attack the baby while she is still in the mother’s womb,” Dr. Seth Hollander said. “Her condition is quite rare. Only about 1% of women will have these antibodies. And only about 2% of women with these antibodies have this kind of effect on the baby.” Dr. Hollander is the medical director of Pediatric Heart Transplantation.“About 500 heart transplants are performed in the country each year in children. However, among children under the age of one year are the hardest to find matches for,” he explained. “And infants waiting for heart transplants are the most likely group to pass away while waiting for a donor organ.” Dr. Hollander said roughly 25% of infants waiting for a heart transplant will die while waiting. "We are very grateful for whoever that anonymous donor family is for providing such a wonderful gift and a second chance for this little girl,” he said. Barbie’s heart surgery happened in September when she was a little over six months old. “It literally brought me to my knees. I was crying,” Moreno said. “We only had so long — I believe it was four hours — to make a decision if we wanted the heart or not. So, it was a really hard decision because there were so many good and bads to both sides of saying yes or no to accepting the heart.”And COVID-19 protections complicated an already dire road.“Oh man it was really scary because nobody could really be there to support us,” Moreno explained. “There was actually a long period of time where dad was not allowed to come into the hospital because they were only letting one parent in.”Barbie’s surgery was a success. And she went home to Sacramento, California, just before Thanksgiving. Dr. Hollander added Barbie's future is very bright. She has no transplant rejection and is catching up on her developmental milestones. He expects the heart to last for several decades, allowing Barbie to grow up pretty much like a normal kid.“When I look at her it’s really hard to believe she’s had a heart transplant because she acts so much like a baby,” Moreno said.“It’s amazing to know that when we first found out, we weren’t sure if we were going to have a baby, to now, we’re celebrating her first birthday coming up. So, that’s really great.”

Saint Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri, enjoys celebrating special milestones during the births of its babies, so it was no surprise to see the hospital get in the spirit of the Olympics.Since Friday is the eagerly anticipated Opening Ceremony for the Olympics, Saint Luke’s decided to celebrate in its own special way with its own Mini-Team USA.“Our Saint Luke’s specialty-trained coaches passed the torch to kick-off the Olympic celebration and recognize our newest gold-medal babies,” the hospital said in a news release. Saint Luke’s said nurses helped crochet the gold medals for our newest “athletes,” who participated in a variety of games – swimming, weightlifting, boxing, basketball, gymnastics and tennis. “The crowds (the families) were excited to be a part of the special ceremony and will get to take the handmade outfits home with them to keep,” the hospital said.
