The plane was suspended 100 feet in the air Sunday night.

The pilot, Patrick Merkle, 65, of Washington, D.C., and the passenger, Jan Williams, 66, of Louisiana, were rescued just after midnight.

They were suffering from serious injuries related to the impact of the crash and hypothermia, officials said.

The plane was detangled from the power lines overnight. Officials with the power company said repairs will most likely take "days, if not weeks" to complete.

However, the company noted that power has been restored to the 85,000 people who lost it immediately after the crash.

The National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration are investigating the cause of the crash.

This man is using YouTube to educate people about reptiles, Mohammed Aziz Abdullah is only 22 and shares his knowledge of reptiles and even deadly snakes with his viewers online. He talked about his goals. The most important goal I have is a humane one. I am raising awareness and educating the community to differentiate between venomous and non venomous species so they know how to deal with reptiles. While he has fans, some have been less than supportive. Abdullah went on. When I started in this field, I faced a lot of bullying for many people through comments on the Internet. People asking why I took up this strange hobby or why I hunt and raise reptiles. After Abdullah does his research and makes his educational videos, he releases them back into the wild, where they can enjoy a happy life.

A Montgomery County home was accidentally burned to the ground by an owner trying to get rid of a snake infestation, officials said. The Poolesville homeowner was attempting to use smoke to purge the snakes from the house, according to Montgomery County Fire Department officials. In the process, the homeowner caught the house on fire, causing about $1 million in damage, The Washington Post reported. Video above: This Man Uses YouTube to Educate People About ReptilesThe fire broke out around 10 p.m. on Nov. 23, officials said. Pete Piringer, a spokesman for the county fire department, said on Twitter that 75 firefighters were called to put out the blaze that started in the basement. Piringer said the fire, caused by placing coals too close to combustible material, was accidental and that no people were hurt. But he said the well-being of the snakes is "undetermined."

BUTLER TOWNSHIP, Ohio — A second Hamilton woman has died following a 4-car crash Sunday on Interstate 75, the Journal-News reports.

Cesere C. Traylor, 28, died of her injuries Monday afternoon, the Ohio State Highway Patrol announced. She was a passenger in a car driven by 53-year-old Sarenthia Traylor of Hamilton, who died Sunday as she was being taken to Miami Valley Hospital.

Three of the vehicles involved in the crash that happened just after noon were stationary on the side of I-75 South near Benchwood Road in Butler Twp. in Montgomery County, the patrol said in a release.

A 2015 Chevrolet Camaro and a 2020 Nissan Versa, driven by Traylor, were behind an abandoned 2002 Saturn waiting for a tow, the patrol said.

A 2012 Chrysler 300 drove onto the right shoulder and struck the Nissan in the rear.

The Versa then struck the Camaro, which caused the Camaro to strike the Saturn.

Two others were also injured, though their injuries were considered minor and not life-threatening, the patrol said.

Alcohol and drugs are not considered factors in the crash, the release said. The crash remains under investigation by OSHP.

The OSHP, Vandalia Fire and EMS, Riverside EMS, Tipp City Fire and EMS, the Vandalia Police Department, the Butler Twp. Police Department and the Ohio Department of Transportation all assisted with the crash.
