<p>HAMILTON — A Hamilton mother continues to search for her daughter and needs more volunteer searchers.</p>
<p>Kara Hyde went missing in December. She was last seen at her mother’s house in Hamilton. Since her disappearance, Kara’s mother, Lisa Hyde, has been organizing searches to look for her daughter.</p>
<p>“We got to keep continuing these searches because she has to be found,” Lisa said.</p>
<p>A group of searchers met outside Jay’s Furniture Sunday Morning and then drove to the search location.</p>
<p>“Gets harder everyday, everyday she’s gone, I miss her more and I need to find her. There’s urgency that I have to find her,” she said.</p>
<p>During a search in January, organized by Kara’s family, searchers found a bag of Kara’s clothes but no sign of Kara.</p>
<p>“She was a force, she was very animated, very outgoing, enthusiastic, sweet, artistic, creative, kind, she had a heart of gold,” Lisa said.</p>
<p>She added to keep the search parties going, she needs more volunteers.</p>
<p>“Been looking everywhere for volunteer searches because with the weather breaking and the case being so old I’m losing quite a bit of searchers,” she said.</p>
<p>Lisa is doing everything she can to find her daughter her such as, creating and hanging flyers, visiting places Kara has been to, talking with people Kara knew, and turning Kara’s car into a mobile billboard. She believes Kara will be found by either investigators or volunteer searchers.</p>
<p>Kara Hyde is 5-foot-6 inches tall, weighing 100 pounds with dirty blond hair.</p>
<p>If you have information about Kara Hyde’s whereabouts, call Hamilton police at 513-868-5811.</p>

<p>
					A community vigil was held Monday on the one-year anniversary of the disappearance of 23-year-old Kara Hyde. Police said Hyde was reported missing on Dec. 18 by her loved ones. According to police, Hyde was last seen by her mother on Dec. 5, 2021, leaving their house on Grand Boulevard. Lisa Hyde said her daughter is an addict and there had been talk among people she knew that she may have been seen in nearby Crawford Woods.In April, Hamilton police increased their reward for information on Kara's whereabouts. Shortly after she was reported missing, Texas EquuSearch Midwest teamed up with detectives from the Hamilton Police Department to search the wooded area. Nothing was found that would lead them to Kara."I didn't expect her to be gone and not be found," Lisa Hyde said. "That's a whole new ball game, and it's terrifying."The hole in Lisa's heart remains unfilled, and she describes it as a pain only a parent would understand. Her young adult daughter vanished a year ago, and her case remains unsolved."She said, 'I'm going to get your present; I'll be right back, Momma. I love you,' and out the door, she went," Lisa Hyde said. "It was the last I saw her."Kara was small in stature but big in personality. Her brother, James Saylor, believes she was the glue that held the family together."There's a void, an emptiness that can't be filled," Saylor said. "It's like a missing piece to our family."Dozens of friends and family members gathered Monday night. They held candles, clutched onto one another, and shared stories of Kara Hyde."I'm just so scared and sad," Lisa Hyde said. "I'm scared to death that I'll never find out what happened or what I will find out. I live in constant fear."There is a cash reward for information that leads to finding Kara. Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to contact Detective Brian Wynn at 513-868-5811, extension 1272.

					The husband of a Massachusetts woman who has not been seen since early in the morning on New Year's Day is in custody.Brian Walshe, 46, was arrested on a charge of misleading a police investigation in connection with the disappearance of his 39-year-old wife, Ana Walshe, according to the Norfolk County District Attorney's Office.Sister station WCVB'S cameras were there as Brian Walshe was taken into custody and led into the Cohasset Police Department in handcuffs. Cameras also captured video of Walshe's gray Volvo XC90 being put into the police station garage. Ana Walshe was last seen by a family member in her Cohasset home between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m. on Jan. 1, according to Cohasset police Chief William Quigley. Quigley also said Walshe's cellphone, as well as her credit and debit cards, have been inactive since New Year's Day.She was reported missing on Wednesday, simultaneously by Brian Walshe and her employer, Washington, D.C.-based real estate company Tishman Speyer.The Norfolk County District Attorney's Office has since taken the lead on the missing person investigation after Cohasset police, the Massachusetts Special Emergency Response Team, Metropolitan Law Enforcement Council and other agencies searched around the Walshe family's home off of the Chief Justice Cushing Highway (Route 3A) from Friday through Sunday.Multiple marked and unmarked police cruisers arrived at the Walshes' home at about 9 a.m. on Sunday, less than 16 hours after Massachusetts State Police and Cohasset Police Department officials said the ground search would not resume unless they developed new information that would warrant a renewed search.Sources told sister station WCVB's Ted Wayman that investigators arrived at the Walshe family's home with a search warrant on Sunday. Detectives were seen wearing protective layers on their shoes as they searched in and around the house.Video showed that the search appeared to extend to sheds near the home, areas where police had not focused on during earlier searches. "Police developed probable cause to believe that (Ana Walshe's) husband, Brian Walshe, had committed the crime of misleading police investigators," reads a statement from the Norfolk County District Attorney's Office.Sister station WCVB 5's Brianna Borghi saw young children being led out of the house Sunday morning. Ana and Brian Walshe have three young boys together between the ages of 2 and 6. Borghi also saw a red truck pull up to the home earlier Sunday morning and drop off an older woman, who spoke with an investigator for a few minutes. That same woman later appeared to leave the home with the children in a different vehicle. Borghi then saw a man leave the home in a separate vehicle shortly thereafter.Brian Walshe is expected to be arraigned Monday morning in Quincy District Court, and the DA's Office said additional facts may or may not be entered into the record at that time.Circumstances of Ana Walshe's disappearanceA family member told police Ana Walshe was supposed to take a ride-share to Boston Logan International Airport in an attempt to catch an early morning flight to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport on Jan. 1."It's been said that she was called to D.C. to handle some type of emergency at one of the properties that she manages. That's why she was attempting to go to D.C. (on New Year's Day)," Quigley said.Quigley added, however, that Cohasset police had been in contact with rideshare companies and have so far been unable to confirm that she got into a rideshare vehicle outside her home. The police chief also said he was able to confirm with all airlines that Walshe did not board a flight this week. Quigley said officers from the Metropolitan Police Department in D.C. searched the Walshe family's Washington townhouse but found no sign of Ana Walshe there. A spokesperson for the Cohasset Police Department said Cohasset and state police detectives arrived in Washington early Saturday morning as part of the investigation. On Sunday, the Norfolk District Attorney's Office said those investigators were returning from D.C., where they sought any possible evidence or information concerning Ana Walshe's potential whereabouts.Friends said Ana Walshe commutes to Washington during the week to work for Tishman Speyer, a job she started last year. She is active on social media, but friends say those accounts went silent on New Year's Day when she was due to catch a flight."She's a loving and loyal wife and mother of three beautiful boys," Alissa Kirby, a friend, said. "She loves her family, and I know in my heart that of her choice, she would not go a day without speaking to her husband and her kids." On Friday, the Massachusetts State Police Special Emergency Response Team and a regional police team spent much of the day searching the area near the Walshe family's home in Cohasset. The search was called off for the night after an area of approximately one square mile was covered.Authorities said 20 troopers from the MSP Special Emergency Response Team, a specialized unit trained in search and rescue operations, as well as three K9 teams, Metropolitan Law Enforcement Council officers and the State Police Air Wing Unit, once again searched wooded areas near Walshe's home with negative results on Saturday. State police divers also searched a small stream and an in-ground pool on the property with negative results, according to authorities. Police said Ana Walshe is 5 feet, 2 inches tall and weighs 115 pounds. She has brown hair, brown eyes and an olive complexion and speaks with an eastern European accent.Anyone with information about Ana Walshe's whereabouts is asked to contact Det. Harrison Schmidt at 781-383-1055 extension 6108 or email hschmidt@cohassetpolice.com. Watch the video above for the full story.

<p>A spokesperson for the Cohasset Police Department said Cohasset and state police detectives arrived in Washington early Saturday morning as part of the investigation. On Sunday, the Norfolk District Attorney's Office said those investigators were returning from D.C., where they sought any possible evidence or information concerning Ana Walshe's potential whereabouts.</p>
<p>Friends said Ana Walshe commutes to Washington during the week to work for Tishman Speyer, a job she started last year. She is active on social media, but friends say those accounts went silent on New Year's Day when she was due to catch a flight.</p>
<p>"She's a loving and loyal wife and mother of three beautiful boys," Alissa Kirby, a friend, said. "She loves her family, and I know in my heart that of her choice, she would not go a day without speaking to her husband and her kids." </p>
<p>On Friday, the Massachusetts State Police Special Emergency Response Team and a regional police team spent much of the day searching the area near the Walshe family's home in Cohasset. The search was called off for the night after an area of approximately one square mile was covered.</p>
<p>Authorities said 20 troopers from the MSP Special Emergency Response Team, a specialized unit trained in search and rescue operations, as well as three K9 teams, Metropolitan Law Enforcement Council officers and the State Police Air Wing Unit, once again searched wooded areas near Walshe's home with negative results on Saturday. State police divers also searched a small stream and an in-ground pool on the property with negative results, according to authorities. </p>
<p>Police said Ana Walshe is 5 feet, 2 inches tall and weighs 115 pounds. She has brown hair, brown eyes and an olive complexion and speaks with an eastern European accent.</p>
<p>Anyone with information about Ana Walshe's whereabouts is asked to contact Det. Harrison Schmidt at 781-383-1055 extension 6108 or email hschmidt@cohassetpolice.com.</p>

Willard Noble Chaiden Miller, 16, and Jeremy Everett Goodale, 16, have been charged with first-degree homicide and first-degree conspiracy to commit homicide."Graber was employed as a Spanish teacher at Fairfield High School, where Miller and Goodale were students. <p>MISSOULA — Following the <a class="Link" href="https://www.kpax.com/news/national/coroner-to-share-results-of-gabby-petitos-autopsy-on-tuesday" target="_blank" rel="noopener">death of Gabby Petito</a>, people nationwide are calling for more media coverage on other missing people.</p>
<p>Here in Montana, Native Americans are four times more likely to go missing, according to the state <a class="Link" href="https://www.mmipmt.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Missing and Murdered Indigenous People's database</a>.</p>
<p>Kimberly Loring, whose sister <a class="Link" href="https://www.kpax.com/news/montana-news/on-mothers-day-loxie-loring-reflects-on-four-years-without-her-daughter" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Ashley Loring HeavyRunner is missing</a>, was a key in creating that database and coordinating law enforcement resources.</p>

<p>MTN News had the chance to talk with her as a new podcast aimed to spotlight her missing sister's case.</p>
<p>Ashley Loring Heavyrunner disappeared from Browning in 2017 when she was 20 years old.</p>
<p>“We need to come together; our missing is important. They are not just a picture on a flyer. They are sisters or brothers. They are meant to be home with us,” Kimberly Loring said.</p>
<figure class="Figure" itemscope="" itemtype="https://schema.org/ImageObject">

</div>
</figure>
<p>Her sister has not stopped looking for answers. “Ashley’s case was mishandled during the most crucial time, and we need to bring more attention to this."</p>
<p>Kimberly says it took effort from the family to get Ashley’s story in the news. "It took Ashley a very long time to be be seen by the media."</p>
<p>She says it was also challenging to work with law enforcement, "they were able to hinder Ashley’s case.”</p>
<figure class="Figure" itemscope="" itemtype="https://schema.org/ImageObject">

<p>So, the family conducted their searches.</p>
<p>“It was very traumatic. I was very numb at the time. We were searching in the forest, and I was yelling her name, expecting her to be like, ‘I’m right here,” Kimberly recalled.</p>
<p>That was four years ago, "it was very, extremely hard. It was tough,” Kimberly told MTN News.</p>

<p>Kimberly says she took to social media.</p>
<p>“It wasn’t until I got on Facebook and started posting and making sure everyone around in the town -- and people that I know, know. And people that care and love for her knew, and they were able to share that.”</p>
<p>Ashley’s whereabouts are still unknown, and as the search continues, the family is still looking for answers. But now, a new form of media is sharing Ashley’s story -- to anyone that will listen.</p>
<p><span class="VideoEnhancement" data-video-disable-history=""></p>
<p>"Up &amp; Vanished" podcast focuses on Ashley Loring Heavyrunner</p>
<p></span></p>
<p>“I hope at the end of the day, there is more coverage of her story,” said podcast host Payne Lindsey.</p>
<p>Kimberly believes something happened to Ashley, and she wants to know what. </p>
<p>“If we keep bringing more attention to Ashley’s case, then we will find answers.”</p>

<p>Lindsey, the narrator for hit podcast Up and Vanished, agrees. </p>

<p>Lindsey says he wants to solve Ashley’s case and draw attention to the thousands of other Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women (MMIW) in America.</p>
<div class="Quote">
<blockquote><p>“Discussing the larger issue here, with MMIW, other outlets have covered it before. But the masses don’t actually know how tremendous this issue is, the disparity -- and the statistics with Native women missing. It's sort of a two-pronged thing, discussing Ashley’s story." - Payne Lindsey podcast host Payne Lindsey</p></blockquote>
</div>
<p>National attention has been brought to Ashley’s story in recent years, and Kimberly says after all this time, she hopes to gain some closure eventually.</p>
<div class="Quote">
<blockquote><p>“To have Ashley would be to have my life back. I know it wouldn’t be back to normal, but it would be a piece of me that is not lost looking for her. My family and I — we have changed throughout these past four years, just losing who we are because of such a hard part we have to deal with -- somebody so big in our family, Ashley -- a piece of our heart is missing. To have that answered, and to be able to know, to have Ashley back it would mean the world to us.” - Kimberly Loring</p></blockquote>

<p>The investigation into Ashley's disappearance is ongoing, and the FBI is urging anyone with information to contact the Salt Lake City FBI office at (801) 579-1400 or 1-800-CALL-FBI. The parents of Gabby Petito's fiancé Brian Laundrie affirmed they do not know his whereabouts two weeks after he was last seen, their attorney said in a statement Monday night."Chris and Roberta Laundrie do not know where Brian is. They are concerned about Brian and hope the FBI can locate him," attorney Steven Bertolino said. "The speculation by the public and some in the press that the parents assisted Brian in leaving the family home or in avoiding arrest on a warrant that was issued after Brian had already been missing for several days is just wrong."The statement comes amid the deepening mystery over what happened to Petito, 22, and Laundrie, 23, who spent their summer traveling in a white van through the American West while posting about their adventures across social media.Those posts abruptly stopped in late August, and Laundrie returned to his parents' home in North Port, Florida, with the van but without his fiancée on Sept. 1, according to police. Petito's family, unable to get in touch with her, reported her missing on Sept. 11.Petito's remains were found in a camping area in Wyoming's Bridger-Teton National Forest last week near where the couple had last been seen, and a coroner ruled her death a homicide.Meanwhile, Laundrie's parents told investigators on Sept. 17 they had last seen him three days earlier when he left their home with a backpack, saying he was going to the nearby Carlton Reserve, a sprawling swampland that stretches over 25,000 acres in southwest Florida, authorities said. A source close to the family told CNN that Laundrie left his parents' home without his cell phone and wallet and his parents were concerned that he might hurt himself.Local police spent more than 10 days unsuccessfully combing through the Carlton Reserve. Still, a federal warrant for his arrest accuses him of illegally using another person's debit card and PIN number on Aug. 30 and Sept. 1.Petito's family spoke at her funeral over the weekend, describing her as an adventurous, happy girl who people gravitated toward. They are expected to hold a news conference on Tuesday afternoon, according to the law office of Richard Stafford, who represents the family.The unanswered questions about what happened to Petito have spurred digital detectives to comb through the couple's online trail to try to solve the case and surfaced reports that tension may have been building between the couple. The focus on Petito's case has also highlighted the tens of thousands of missing persons' cases across the country and raised questions about why some of those cases garner such intense interest and others do not.Dispatch audio sheds more light on a disputeWhile their posts on social media portrayed a happy, sun-drenched life, an incident with police in August revealed significant issues in their relationship.The first reports of conflict between the two came on Aug. 12, when a 911 caller in Moab, Utah, told dispatchers he wanted to report a domestic dispute and described a white van with a Florida license plate."We drove by and the gentleman was slapping the girl," the caller said. He went on to say, "Then we stopped. They ran up and down the sidewalk. He proceeded to hit her, hopped in the car and they drove off."CNN obtained dispatch audio recordings from the Grand County Sheriff's office Monday that shed more light on what Moab Police were told about "some sort of altercation."According to the audio, the dispatcher told the officer that "a male hit a female" and that they got into a white Ford Transit van.However, another witness, identified just by his first name, told investigators that Petito appeared to hit Laundrie in the arm and then climbed through the driver's side door as if he had locked her out, a Moab Police report states.Police located the white van and initiated a stop near the entrance to Arches National Park. Petito and Laundrie were in the van.In his police report, Officer Eric Pratt said Petito had slapped Laundrie, "who grabbed her face and pushed her back as she pressed upon him and the van."Another responding officer, Daniel Robbins, said Petito had "gone into a manic state" when Laundrie tried to "separate from her so they could both calm their emotions." The officer reported seeing "minor visible scratches" on Laundrie's face.Bodycam video of the incident shows Petito telling police, "We've just been fighting this morning — going through some personal issues."According to police, the officers suggested the couple go their separate ways that night and no charges were filed.Moab Police Assistant Chief Braydon Palmer told CNN regarding the handling of the dispute on Aug. 12, "We are reaching out to an outside agency to conduct that investigation." Palmer did not specify the agency.Search for Laundrie ongoingLaundrie returned to the Florida home he shared with his parents on Sept. 1 without Petito, and authorities have been looking for him to provide answers.Initially, he wasn't wanted on any charges, but Laundrie now faces a federal warrant for his arrest for the "use of unauthorized devices" stemming from his alleged actions following Petito's death. Laundrie allegedly used a debit card and PIN number for accounts that did not belong to him for charges exceeding $1,000 between the dates of Aug. 30 and Sept. 1, according to a federal indictment.An attorney for Laundrie's family emphasized in a statement that the warrant was not for Petito's death but related to activities that allegedly took place afterward.Two separate rewards totaling $30,000 have been offered to anyone who provides law enforcement officials with Laundrie's whereabouts.FBI agents returned to the Laundrie home Sunday, as seen in video shot by CNN. At least two agents could be seen at the home and one had a bag in his hand.During the agency's visit to the family home, "The FBI requested some personal items belonging to Brian Laundrie to assist them with DNA matching and Brian's parents provided the FBI with what they could," the Laundries' lawyer, Steven Bertolino, told multiple news outlets.

<p>The parents of Gabby Petito's fiancé Brian Laundrie affirmed they do not know his whereabouts two weeks after he was last seen, their attorney said in a statement Monday night.</p>
<p>"Chris and Roberta Laundrie do not know where Brian is. They are concerned about Brian and hope the FBI can locate him," attorney Steven Bertolino said. "The speculation by the public and some in the press that the parents assisted Brian in leaving the family home or in avoiding arrest on a warrant that was issued after Brian had already been missing for several days is just wrong."</p>
<p>The statement comes amid the deepening mystery over what happened to Petito, 22, and Laundrie, 23, who spent their summer traveling in a white van through the American West while posting about their adventures across social media.</p>
<p>Those posts abruptly stopped in late August, and Laundrie returned to his parents' home in North Port, Florida, with the van but without his fiancée on Sept. 1, according to police. Petito's family, unable to get in touch with her, reported her missing on Sept. 11.</p>
<p>Petito's remains were found in a camping area in Wyoming's Bridger-Teton National Forest last week near where the couple had last been seen, and a coroner ruled her death a homicide.</p>
<p>Meanwhile, Laundrie's parents told investigators on Sept. 17 they had last seen him three days earlier when he left their home with a backpack, saying he was going to the nearby Carlton Reserve, a sprawling swampland that stretches over 25,000 acres in southwest Florida, authorities said. A source close to the family told CNN that Laundrie left his parents' home without his cell phone and wallet and his parents were concerned that he might hurt himself.</p>
<p>Local police spent more than 10 days unsuccessfully combing through the Carlton Reserve. The FBI, which has taken over the case, is leading a more targeted search based on intelligence, North Point Police said, and agents visited his parents' home to get personal items that would assist with DNA matching.</p>
<p>Laundrie has not been explicitly connected to Petito's death. Still, a federal warrant for his arrest accuses him of illegally using another person's debit card and PIN number on Aug. 30 and Sept. 1.</p>

<p>LONDON (AP) — The suspected abduction and murder of a young London woman as she walked home has dismayed Britain and revived a painful question: Why are women too often not safe on the streets? </p>
<p>Sarah Everard, a 33-year-old marketing executive, disappeared as she walked home from a friend’s house in London on March 3. </p>
<p>Police confirmed Friday that a body found in woodland 50 miles (80 kilometers) southeast of the city is hers. </p>
<p>A Metropolitan Police officer, Wayne Couzens, was charged late Friday with kidnapping and murder. Police say Couzens joined the force in 2018 and was last assigned to the Parliamentary and Diplomatic Protection Command, according to <a class="Link" href="https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-london-56331948">the BBC</a>, where he patrolled mainly embassies around London. </p>
<p>Everard’s disappearance has caused a nationwide flood of emotion, with women sharing experiences of being threatened or attacked — or simply facing the everyday fear of violence when walking alone.</p>
