WLWT, FACEBOOK PAGE. ALL RIGHT BACK TO OUR CHIEF METEOROLOGIST KEVIN ROBINSON THE FRIDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL FORECAST AND IT’S LOOKING A HECK OF A LOT BETTER THAN ITAS W AT THIS TIME LAST NIGHT. YEAH. IT REALLY IS, YOU KNOW, ALTHOUGH WE HAVEN’T SEEN MUCH OF THEUN S TODAY THINGS HAVE REALLY WORKED OUT IN OUR FAVOR IN THAT WAY WITHOUT THEE W WEREN’T ABLE TO GET UNSTABLE ENOUGH TO GET STORMS AND AS A RESULT, WE’RE KIND OF IN THAT PEAK WINDOW WHEN WE WERE MOST CONCERNED ABOUT THE POTENTIAL RISK FOR SEVERE WEATHER. SO THE GOOD NEWS IS THAT IT LOOKS LIKE WE’RE REAYLL DODGING A BULLET HERE WITH THE SEVERE WEATHER THREAT. YOU CAN SEE THERE’S NOT A LOT HAPPENING AT THE MOMENT THE RAIN THAT WE’VE HAD OFF AND ONHE T GLOOMY SKIES WE’VE HAD OFTEN ON THROUGHOUT THE DAY BASICALLY ACTING LIKE A BLANKET ON THE ATMOSPHERE AND KEEPING EVERYTHING REALLY SETTLED DOWN AN D NOW ALLOWING ANY EXPLOSIVE THUNDERSTORM DEVELOPMENT, SO THAT SAID THERE’S SOME HEAVY RAIN OUT HERE BETWEEN MAYSVILLE OVER TOWARDS WEST UNION SCOOTGIN ALONG THE OHIO RIVER BETWEEN MANCHESTER AND WRIGHTSVILLE, BUT THA’S G'ENERALLY ABOUT IT SOME OF THOSE SHOWERS TRAIL BACK TOWARDS THE MAIZELIT COMMUNITY AS FAR NORTH AS PEEBLES AND THEN ON UP THROUGH PARTS, ISLAND COUNTY SOME LIGHT RAIN SHOWERS OUT THERE AROUND THE METRO WE ARE CURRENTLY RAIN FREE AND THIS IS PART OF THAT DEVELOPING WINDOW. I THINK WE HEAV FOR SEVERAL HOURS TONIGHT BEFORE WE SEE ANY ADDITIONAL RAIN DEVELOP AROUND THE AREA. THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN OUR SEVERE WEATHER RIGHT HERE. IT STARTED TO GO UP WHERE THERE WERE SOME BREAKS IN THE CLOUDS IN INDIANA AND YOU HAD THE SUN OUT BUTNC OE THAT ACTIVITY MOVED, ARE LESS FAVORABLE ENVIRONMENT. IT’S COMPLETELY FIZZLED. AND BASICALLY THAT’S THE CASE WITH THE LITTLE SPRINKLES AND SHOWERS THAT WERE OUT THERE SO I DON’T SEE MUCH OF AN IMPACT TONIGHT TO HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL ACTION FROM LIGHTNING OR EVEN ANY SEVERE WEATHER COMPONENTS OUT THERE. NOW THAT SAID WE ARE NOT DONE WITH THE RAIN AND THEY’RE VERY WELL COULD BEOR ME THUNDER AND LIGHTNING LATER ON TONIGHT, BUT IT WON’T BE OFHE T SEVERE VARIETY. AND AGAIN, HERE’S THE KEY REASON WHY WE ARE NOT DEALING WITH SEVERE WEATHER AT THE MOMENT. JUST NOT UNSTABLE ENOUGH. THERE SO THAT’S WHYT I ALSO WE’VE BEEN DROPPED OUT OF THE SLIGHT RISK DOWN TO A MARGINAL RISK, AND YOU COULD ALMOST DROP IT EVEN LOWER THAN THAT AT THIS POINT. IT WOULD APPEAR SO I ACTLLUAY THINK WE’VE GOT SOME DECENT FOOTBALL WEATHER OUT THERE. I CAN’T SAY THERE WON’T BE ANY PASSING SHOWER OR DOWNPOUR, BUT I TNKHI FOR THE GAMES THEMSELVES AS LONG AS THEY WRAP UP BEFORE ABOUT NINE OR TEN O’CLOCK. I THINK YOU’VE GOT MOSTLY CLOUD WEATHER CONDITIONS NOW, AFTER 9 OR 10 RAIN CHANCES WILL GO UP AND THEY’RE STILL MAYBE. THUNDER DAN LIGHTNING TO BE HAD. SO HERE WE GO. MOVING FORWARD NOTICE AS WE GET TOWARDS THE NINE O’CLOCK HOUR 10 RAIN BEGINS TO REDEVELOP ACRSOS THE AREA AGAIN. I’M NOT GOING TO RULE OUT A LITTLE THUNDER AND LIGHTNING BUT AT THIS POINT IT DOES NOT APPEAR TO BE SEVERE. THIS WOULD BE GOOD SOAKING RANGE WHEIL WE SLEEP TONIGHT AND THEN BY THE TIME THE SUN IS UP TOMORROW MORNING BY 7. AM IF NOT SOONER THE RAIN SHOULD BE MOVING OUT OF HERE. IT MAY TAKE US AEW F HOURS TO GET SOME SUN BACK SATURDAY, BUT SATURDAY LOOKS NICE CLEAR. CHILLY SATURDAY NIGHT AND THEN WE’VE GOT A FANTASTIC SUNDAY COMING UP WITH LOTS OF SUNSHINE TO BE ENJOYED AROUND THE AREA. SO HERE’S A LIVE LOOK OUTSIDE RIGHT NOW, YOU KNOW IT’S TANGKI DAY, BUT WE’RE FINALLY STARTING TO SEE A FEW PEAKS AT THEUN S OUT THERE THIS AFTERNOON 70 OFFICIALLY HERE IN CINCINNATI. NOT A LOTF O RAIN AT THE AIRPORT. SOME FOLKS HAVE HAD A LITTLE MORE A LITTLE LESS DEPENDING ON YOUR LOCATION TEMPERATURES IN THE UPPER 60S ARE RIGHT AROUND 70 DEGREES BECAUSE OF THE CLOUDS AND RAIN AND YOU KNOW WITH THAT IN MIND TEMPERATURES HDOL STEADY BEFORE MIDNIGHT, THEN WE’LL FALL BACK THROUGH THE 60S AND WE’LL WIND UP IN THE 50S BY MORNING. EVENTUALLY. WE’LL GET DOWN THE 52. SO LET’S SAY BETWEEN NOW AND ABTOU 9 OR 10 IT SHOULD BE RELATIVELY QUIET OUT THERE AFTER 10 O’CLOCK. I THINK RAIN CHANCES GO UP. AGAIN AREA WEID MAY HAVE A LITTLE THUNDER AND LIGHTNING THROWN IN WITH THAT 63 TOMORROW. THAT’S AT MIDNIGHT. THAT’S 63 WE’LL STRUGGLE TO GET BACK TO 60 TOMORROW AND WITH A CHILLY BREEZE DESPITE THE SUNSHINE. IT’LL BE A LITTLE BIT OF A SHOCK TO THE SYSTEM 45 FOR A LOW TOMORROW NIGHT DRESS WARMF I YOU’RE HEADING TO FC CINCINNATI SOCCER, AND THEN IT LOOKS LIKE WELL CHILLITA SRT TO THE WEEK AT LEAST TEMPERATURE. EYES AT NIGHT

<p>Super Bowl champs Tampa Bay Buccaneers will continue their celebration Tuesday when they visit the White House.</p>
<p>Tom Brady, Mike Evans, Devin White, and the rest of the team will head to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. to be congratulated by President Joe Biden on their victory over the Kansas City Chiefs.</p>
<p>In 2018, the Philadelphia Eagles were uninvited by President Trump. </p>
<p>The New England Patriots, who won the 2019 Super Bowl, ultimately did not attend the traditional White House ceremony, but both sides said it had nothing to do with politics. </p>
<p>In 2020, Trump congratulated the Kansas City Chiefs for their Super Bowl win, but they didn't visit the White House due to COVID-19.<br />The last team to visit was the New England Patriots in 2017. Tom Brady did not attend that time due to personal reasons. But Tampa Bay Times Bucs beat writer Rick Stroud says Brady will be in attendance Tuesday.</p>
<p>A Tampa sports team has never visited the White House before. </p>
<p>The Bucs' first Super Bowl team couldn't go because of the invasion in Iraq. </p>
<p>The Lightning couldn't go during their first Stanley Cup because of the NHL lockout, and the 2020 Lightning couldn't attend because of COVID-19. </p>
<p>There is no word yet on whether this year's Bolts team will get to visit the White House.</p>
<p>It has not been announced yet what time the Bucs will be visiting or what is on the agenda.</p>
<p><i>Dan Trujillo at WFTS first reported this story.</i></p>

it was a rainy and extremely windy monday in Broward County. I don't know, streets flooded along a one a the storm knocked down tree branches in Davie. It ruined the roofs of some of the portables at Indian Ridge Middle School and it did not spare homes in this community. We had to run for the back of the house. But the whole part started flying away. It got so bad. You can see where pieces tore away from some of the homes here. Okay, more side. I see it everything blood and I was there blood on like to blow off. It's like a train. I heard it move my golf cart touch feet away. The break was our, that's how I knew something had happened. Diego Lopez says part of his roof collapsed. We were just talking and she was like, oh there's a tornado warning and I'm like for real. And right after she said that it started, Cruz went around the community making sure people were okay and their homes were safe, evacuating those houses with the worst damage I had. My crew's going throughout the development to check to see if there was any other life threatening damage or anybody else in need of any type of rescue. If there's proof I am a survivor driving in this kind of weather can be dangerous. Found a boom, boom, ask Ernesto Delhomme Tae F. H. P. Troopers confirmed the car damage he experienced on alligator alley was thanks to a lightning strike going to the road and hit me a lighting I saw like in um and the car is broken in pompano beach. Another close call to city employees are lucky to be alive. After lightning hit very close to the boat, they were on to be safe. They were taken to the hospital to get checked out. As for the residents inside this mobile home neighborhood in Davie, they're thankful it wasn't worse. Long as nobody was hurt. It's just physical damage that can be repaired

A man driving on a Florida highway was left uninjured after lightning struck his vehicle Monday morning, according to officials. The lightning strike damaged the compact SUV the 48-year-old was driving and left a 7-foot-long, 4-inch-wide gouge in the pavement, according to Florida Highway Patrol (FHP). The man, who police didn't name, was driving on Interstate 75 in Broward County when the strike occurred, during a heavy rainstorm, FHP said.CNN affiliate WPLG identified the driver as Ernesto Delhonte and spoke to him at the scene of the accident."I saw a light and ... I don't know what happened," said Delhonte. "But I survived. I am alive. It's a miracle for me."The electrical system and roof antenna of the man's Nissan Rogue was damaged due to the strike, according to FHP, which left the vehicle disabled. The car came to a stop half-mile north of where the lightning strike occurred, according to WPLG."A typical cloud-to-ground, actually cloud-to-vehicle, lightning strike will either strike the antenna of the vehicle or along the roofline," reads the National Weather Service's (NWS) website. "The lightning will then pass through the vehicle's outer metal shell, then through the tires to the ground."The vehicle was towed from the scene and a roadway repair crew was notified of the pavement's damage, according to FHP.Last month, two people were injured in Walton County, Florida, when a lightning strike sent a chunk of highway through the windshield of a truck."The energy from a lightning strike has to go somewhere," CNN meteorologist Haley Brink said about that incident. "And when lightning strikes an object, such as pavement, it can cause that object to "explode" due to the lightning's pressure blast wave which is caused by the sudden superheating of the air surrounding the lightning strike."Lightning strikes the U.S. about 25 million times a year, according to the NWS, and it kills 20 or more people in the U.S. each year.

The car came to a stop half-mile north of where the lightning strike occurred, according to<a href="https://www.local10.com/news/local/2021/06/14/suv-struck-by-lightning-on-i-75-in-west-broward-county/?fbclid=IwAR2D7Y13Vqii4JTqoam9UZhkUlocz3ZCHx1heS7p8mS49_LkJEqPoraz_Rs" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener"> WPLG.</a></p>
<p>"A typical cloud-to-ground, actually cloud-to-vehicle, lightning strike will either strike the antenna of the vehicle or along the roofline," reads<a href="https://www.weather.gov/safety/lightning-cars" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener"> the National Weather Service's (NWS) website</a>. "The lightning will then pass through the vehicle's outer metal shell, then through the tires to the ground."</p>

<p>The vehicle was towed from the scene and a roadway repair crew was notified of the pavement's damage, according to FHP.</p>
<p>Last month, two people <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2021/05/10/us/lightning-strikes-highway-truck-trnd/index.html" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">were injured in Walton County, Florida,</a> when a lightning strike sent a chunk of highway through the windshield of a truck.</p>
<p>"The energy from a lightning strike has to go somewhere," CNN meteorologist Haley Brink said about that incident. "And when lightning strikes an object, such as pavement, it can cause that object to "explode" due to the lightning's pressure blast wave which is caused by the sudden superheating of the air surrounding the lightning strike."</p>
<p>Lightning strikes the U.S. about 25 million times a year, <a href="https://www.weather.gov/safety/lightning" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">according to the NWS</a>, and it kills 20 or more people in the U.S. each year.</p>

DELIVERIES. IT’S AMAZING EVERYTHING STRAIGHT TO YOUR DOOR THESE DAYS SO THE CONVENIENCE THAT WE HAVE TODAY. IT’S VERY NICE. WELL, WE’VE BEEN THINKING SOME OF OUR REPORTERS OUT IN SOME WINDY CONDITIONS NONETHELESS. IT’S STILL VERY NICE OUT. YEAH, YOU CAN’T COMPLAIN TOO MUCH ABOUT THE WEATHER. WE’RE HAVING TODAY, BUT THOSE CHANGES ARE COMING. LET’S GET OVER TO CHIEF METEOROLOGIST. KEVIN ROBINSON KEVIN WHEN WE EXPECTING EVERYTHING WELL SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS STARTING TO RETURN TOMORROW. IN FACT, REALLY THE NEXT TWO DAYS. WE’LL LOOK PRETTY WET AT TIMES. IT WON’T RAIN THE ENTIRE TIME, BUT YOU DO NEED THE EXPECT WET WEATHER AND CERTAINLY NEED THE UMBRELLA’S HANDY AND IF YOU’VE GOT OUTDOOR PLANS WELL TRYING TO FIGURE THEM OUT AROUND THE RAIN WILL PROBABLY BE YOUR TOUGHEST JOB THE NEXT FEW DAYS. SO HERE WE ARE RAIN THREAD IS HIGH TOMORROW AND THEN VERY HIGH. AS WE HEAD INTO THE DAY ON THURSDAY, FORTUNATELY THIS ALL GETS OUT OF HERE JUST IN TIME FOR THE WEEKEND NOW WITH THE RETURN OF THE WARMER TEMPERATURES. OBVIOUSLY, WE’RE GETTING INTO THAT TIME OF THE YEAR WHERE WE START HAVE TO THINKING. OUT SOME STRONGER STORMS AND WHILE I’M NOT EXPECTING A HUGE THREAT OF SEVERE WEATHER TOMORROW, I WOULDN’T RULE OUT A STRONG STORM OR TWO SINCE WE ARE IN A MARGINAL RISK AND WITH TEMPERATURES CLOSE TO 80 THAT MAY BE JUST ENOUGH TO FUEL A FEW STRONGER STORMS. OBVIOUSLY, THE GREATEST IMPACT WOULD BE RAIN AND THE POTENTIAL WOULD BE THERE FOR MAYBE A FEW STRONGER SEVERE WIND GUSTS WITH ANY OF THE MOST STRONG THE STRONGEST STORMS TOMORROW AFTERNOON AND EVENING. I’LL BE AT THEY’LL BE SCATTERED. BUT IF YOU FIND YOURSELF UNDERNEATH ONE OF THEM, THEY COULD BE LOCALLY INTENSE. SO SO SPRINGTIME WEATHER CERTAINLY RETURNING TO THE TRI-STATE 80 DEGREES OUTSIDE. THERE’S THOSE WINDS THEY’RE SUSTAINED OUT OF THE SOUTH AND SOUTHWEST YOU COUPLE THAT SOUTHWEST WIND WITH THAT APRIL SUNSHINE. AND YEAH, WE WERE AT 80 THIS AFTERNOON. YOU CAN SEE WE’VE GOT MOSTLY SUNNY SKIES. JUST SOME HIGH CLOUDS DRIFTING ACROSS THE OHIO VALLEY THIS EVENING AND TONIGHT THAT WILL LEAVE BEHIND A FANTASTIC LATE APRIL EVENING FOR US. IN FACT TEMPERATURES GENERALLY AROUND 70 THROUGH 10 O’CLOCK AND MUCH LIKE LAST NIGHT TONIGHT’S GOING TO BE EVEN MILDER. IN FACT LOWE’S TONIGHT NOT GOING TO FALL OUT OF THE 60S FOR US. SO ENJOY THE MILD AND DRY WEATHER WHILE AT LAST BECAUSE ALL OF THAT GOES AWAY TOMORROW, AT LEAST THE DRY WEATHER DOES SO HERE WE ARE QUIET WHILE SLEEP TOMORROW MORNING STARTS RELATIVELY QUIET. IT LOOKS LIKE THE BEST THREAT FOR ANY SHOWERS AND STORMS WON’T MOVE IN HERE UNTIL AFTER LUNCHTIME TOMORROW, AND THAT’S WHY I THINK HE GIVES US A LITTLE OPPORTUNITY TO WARM UP DURING THE FIRST HALF OF THE DAY, BUT DURING THE AFTERNOON AND EVENING HERE COMES SOME OF THOSE SCATTERED SHOWERS AND STORMS. THEY’LL IMPACT THE EVENING COMMUTE AROUND THE AREA. SO KEEP THAT IN MIND AND THEN I ACTUALLY THINK THERE’S A LITTLE BIT OF A LULL. AFTER THE AFTERNOON AND EARLY EVENING SHOWERS AND STORMS. I THINK WE’RE GONNA SEE SOME SOME OF THIS GO AWAY, BUT IDEA HERE OR THE THEME BASICALLY IS THE SAME. I WOULDN’T HANG ON AS MUCH AS TO THE TIMING, BUT I DO THINK OFF AND ON SHOWERS AND STORMS OR IN THE FORECAST OVERNIGHT WEDNESDAY AND BASICALLY INTO THE DAY ON THURSDAY. IT WILL BE THURSDAY NIGHT BEFORE WE START TO BECOME COMPLETELY RAIN FREE. SO PARTLY CLOUDY TONIGHT BREEZY VERY MILD 64 THAT’S PRETTY CLOSE TO OUR AVERAGE HIGH THIS TIME OF THE YEAR, WHICH IS IN THE UPPER 60S. TOMORROW MOSTLY CLOUDY SCATTERED STORMS STILL WARM. IT’S A WEATHER IMPACT DAY. LOOK FOR AN AFTERNOON HIGH OF AROUND 81 SO YOU DON’T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT RAIN FOR THE MORNING COMMUTE. HOWEVER, YOU DO HAVE TO BE MORE CONCERNED ABOUT SCATTERED SHOWERS AND STORMS AND FOR A WET RIDE HOME TOMORROW EVENING. HERE’S A LOOK AT YOUR SEVEN DAY FORECAST. SO THERE’S YOUR NEXT TWO DAYS WEATHER IMPACT DAYS NOTICE ON THURSDAY TEMPERATURES COME DOWN WITH AN ABUNDANCE OF CLOUDS AND MORE WIDESPREAD SHOWERS AND STORMS AND IT’S A LITTLE BIT COOLER THERE TO START THE WEEKEND, BUT THIS TIME OF THE YOU CAN ALWAYS ANTICIPATE A FAST WARM-UP LOOK AT THAT FROM 39, MAYBE SATURDAY MORNING TO ALMOST 70 BY SATURDAY AFTERNO

It seems like Cincinnati has settled into spring. Temperatures will stay pretty warm for the next week or two, taking us into early May. LIVE RADAR // LATEST WEATHER ALERTSWednesday will start out cloudy but mainly dry. But the threat of rain will ramp up around lunchtime. From there, Cincinnati will see rounds of storms well into the night. In between these rounds of storms, highs will be around 80 degrees -- you will also see some sun. But that spells out the potential for some stronger storms with lightning, winds and hail. Rain will continue into Thursday. That's when the actual cold front will push into Cincinnati, bringing more widespread showers and storms. Highs Thursday will be in the mid- to low-70s. It will be cooler Thursday night and into the start of the weekend. Highs will fall into the 60s Friday and Saturday, with Friday night the coldest -- with lows in the upper 30s. Expect plenty of sunshine this weekend with highs in the 70s by Sunday.
