Want a little summer fun without the kids?This giant, water-filled rock quarry is just outside Louisville and it's for adults only.Falling Rock Park, also known as The Quarry, is a place for floating and diving. It is alcohol- and drug-free, so leave that stuff at home. Staff members will search cars upon arrival.The water is maintained solely by rain, so no ground runoff dumps into the quarry. That means the water is clear, clean and natural, according to the park.Park officials deemed it too deep for swimming, so everyone is required to have a float of some sort. Those who come unprepared can buy a float or noodle at the entrance. FRP is also a place for scuba divers. Those who aren't certified can take classes.
