Two couples decided to make a special day even more special at Churchill Downs on the eve of the 148th Kentucky Derby.

It happened Friday on Kentucky Oaks Day, hours before the fillies took to the track. Crowds of visitors had already made their way to Churchill Downs to begin their Oaks celebrations.

One of the engagements happened next to the Barbaro statue. You can see the man get down on one knee and his girlfriend surprised by what's happening.

Then out comes the engagement ring, and she excitedly accepts. The two share a kiss with a small crowd around them cheering.

Then you can see the couple being congratulated and posing for photos.

The other happened in the Plaza area at the racetrack. The video starts out with the lovely couple — Jessica and Drew of Louisville — sharing a kiss and then Drew getting down on one knee.

Then out comes the ring and plenty of shock from his soon-to-be fiancé. Jessica turns away for a moment, still surprised, all while people around them cheer.

Finally, Jessica accepts and the two share another kiss in front of their family and friends.

Love is in the air at Churchill Downs during Derby Week!

A boat, Italy and a ring made Sophia Bush a very happy woman.

The "One Tree Hill" alum shared the news that she and her entrepreneur boyfriend Grant Hughes are engaged in a post on her verified Instagram account Tuesday.

The actress, who is currently starring on "Good Sam," shared photos of the pair in Lake Como, Italy.

"So it turns out that being your favorite person's favorite person is the actual best feeling on planet Earth #Yes," the caption read on a photo of the couple in a boat, on a lake with Hughes on one knee proposing.

Hughes was a fan of her post and replied in her comments by writing "You're my forever favorite, my love."

Everyone remembers the time they got engaged, and for a California couple, a spur-of-the-moment proposal caught on camera went viral. In San Francisco, a photographer was walking by when she saw the couple mid-proposal. She was not able to meet up with them right afterward, but with the help of social media, the photos reached the newly engaged couple. See more in the video above.
