That’s why some were surprised when Perfect North in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, decided to double their trouble.Perfect North bought Timberline ski resort in Davis, West Virginia. “All of us here at Perfect North thought, ‘Let’s sign up for a new adventure,’” said Alex Perfect, the marketing coordinator at Perfect North and part of the namesake family that bought Timberline.There have been huge upgrades at Timberline since Perfect North took over two winters ago.“Beyond bringing a ski area from what it was into new, it’s pretty much re-born as brand new,” Perfect said. “So, we put tons of effort and capital into Timberline Mountain.The most noticeable upgrade has been the six-seat, high-speed lift. It turned a 20-minute ride to the top into a three-minute ride.Timberline is about 350 miles from Perfect North.Season pass holders at Perfect North get half off of a lift ticket at Timberline and vice versa.
