The recalled products are sold at retail stores nationwide and are sold directly to consumers online.Pets with salmonella infections may be lethargic and have diarrhea or bloody diarrhea, fever and vomiting, according to the FDA. There is also a risk to humans from handling contaminated pet products, especially if they have not thoroughly washed their hands after having contact with the products or any surfaces exposed to these products. So far, no related illnesses have been reported.Contact your veterinarian if your pet has consumed the recalled products and has these symptoms.
