to me about how does it feel to be Back out here? You know, so many of these fans had tickets in 2020. They had to be postponed. They thought you were gonna be back last year at the last minute. You guys had *** canceled because COVID started spiking again. So it could be back on tour here in Cincinnati for your fans. What's that like? It feels good. Try to remember that both not touring and touring is what you're supposed to be doing, right? So you answer the call. So as *** citizen not being together is what we needed to do. That breaks your heart. So getting back together, I gotta tell you what we're seeing. I don't think it has anything to do with garth brooks. I think people are so, so happy just to be back together again and you'll see in *** room where people, if they knew each other might not get along, my mom might be red might be blue out here. They're gonna have their arms around each other just singing the river together. Friends in low places, which then for me that means music for me is the voice of hope. So I love to watch that. That was my second question. It's like for three hours, this country is more divided for three hours. You get people who are divided on politics divided on issues who will come together and just to watch you, what is that like for you? I think they're just, I think what they're doing is hopefully is the music is replacing the music is showing them what we have more in common than what we have apart, right. And I think people are basically good. I think luke bryan, that song is is perfect and I love to see them come out and just sing and I think you see the true them when their eyes are closed and they feel like they're the only ones in the stadium singing it is it's *** beautiful thing. And I got the best seat in the house, so I get to watch it. But for you, you're talking about the fans for you to be back. How much did you miss it? You're missing *** lot. Try to remember that these guys are the guys have been playing with since day one. So we've been together our whole lives. So and we didn't get to see them during the pandemic either. So it's great to see them. Great for everybody to come back and I love it. And and our thing is always this, there's there's people in the crowd that had masks still alright, respect that we all get over this at our own pace, respect it and there's so much love out there. But the truth is when everybody's singing, close your eyes, you don't know who has mask, you don't and you don't know who's red or blue, That's what makes it *** joy? Yes, ma'am. Are you back until you can't walk out there on stage again, will you ever take *** break again? No, Well we came out of retirement 2014. I told you then you've made the mistake of letting me back in now. You have to kick me out. So we'll see how long this goes. Yes, ma'am. Okay. Favorite country music song of all time for you. Oh, he stopped loving her today or country bumpkin cal smith. Favorite Garth brooks song the Dance. This is an easy game so far. I never passed the test favorite. This is *** toughie favorite city. You play in it. It's got to be Cincinnati. Wait now, you know, we have *** kind of *** Cincinnati thing. Yes, ma'am. Have you tried our chili? I've heard of it, but of course this is not our first time to play here. So skyline, we've all done. Yes, of course you be honest. Do you like? Of course, look at me, do I look like I didn't like anything. Okay. Lastly, you know, you're *** baseball player. Um, follow sports. I can tell you just came from Xavier. I don't know if you've seen but are struggling *** little bit this year. They might need you, you're willing to like step in. That's very sweet anybody that gets to wear the big red machine is lucky, blessed because these guys are these guys are legends no matter what their season is. But are you sure you want to say that after the last four games because they've been kicking it out of everybody? Okay, good luck. I need that. I need that concert tomorrow night. I need that one to happen. Who's your meteorologist? Tell Kevin. Get to work?

<p>After almost 1,000 concerts with The Beatles, more than 140 shows with Wings and 870 solo concerts, Paul McCartney’s 17th solo tour is ending just days before his 80th birthday on June 18.</p>
<p>McCartney’s “Got Back” tour took the music veteran on a marathon across the U.S. — performing for fans who have followed him since the '60s.</p>
<p>Variety notes that a typical show is two hours and 40 minutes with 36 songs, and that’s often after a pre-show soundcheck of as many as 13 songs for VIP ticket holders.</p>
<p>Despite his age, critics lauded McCartney’s performances as lively, high-energy and showing little signs of slowing down.</p>
<p>“You want to, as you say, good navigate through the marathon that this is, and it’s inspiring to see guys like McCartney turn 80," said Peter Shapiro, concert promoter and author. "The [Rolling] Stones still out there, and Phil Lesh for The Grateful Dead is 82. And, we’re doing nine shows with him in October, but, you know, you have to love it."</p>
<p>Shapiro is a veteran concert promoter who’s worked with legendary artists like Bob Dylan and The Grateful Dead.</p>
<p>His book “The Music Never Stops,” which comes out in August, details his career so far and the work that’s gone into putting on 10,000 shows since the '90s.</p>
<p>“I've been doing it 27 years pretty much, and I've done lots of shows — 10,000 shows I’ve put on," Shapiro said. "But to do a show well, it's still the details that still matter. The music never stops. You got to keep going. It's 24/7."</p>
<p>Shapiro says the craft of putting on concerts requires constant practice and a love for live music that doesn’t slow down with age.</p>
<p>The same can be said for touring musicians like McCartney as well as The Rolling Stones, who have performed more than 1,300 concerts over six decades, Metallica with more than 2,000 shows over 41 years and The Grateful Dead with more than 2,300 concerts over 58 years. At 82, Mavis Staples is wrapping up a European tour this week, only to restart a North American swing in a July.</p>
<p>All of them are still performing today. </p>
<p>McCartney has credited his vegetarian diet and a daily exercise regimen that includes stretching and yoga with friends.</p>
<p>After turning 80 and ending his most recent tour, McCartney is slated to headline the Glastonbury Festival later this month.</p>

The tragedy at Travis Scott's Astroworld Festival left eight people dead and dozens injured, as the crowd surged during the rapper's set.The crowd at the Friday night show in Houston was so packed that when audience members were pushed toward the stage, some told CNN that they were crushed to the point where they couldn't breathe and passed out. Others were trampled, as calls for help were drowned out by the music.Concertgoers told CNN that Scott stopped the show at least three times to ask for help for concertgoers in the crowd, though some have criticized the artist and organizers for allowing it to continue. A criminal investigation of the tragedy is now in its early stages.Scott and his partner Kylie Jenner, who was in attendance at the Houston show, have stated in separate social media posts that they are devastated by the tragedy.Jenner said both she and Scott didn't know what was happening in the crowd at the time."I want to make it clear we weren't aware of any fatalities until the news came out after the show and in no world would have continued filming or performing," she wrote.Similar situations have erupted at concerts in the past — here's how artists have asked crowds to stay safe.Linkin ParkWhen members of the band Linkin Park noticed that multiple people in the mosh pit at their show had fallen during one of their shows, they stopped playing, according to a video of the years-old incident shared on Twitter over the weekend. "We got to look out for safety first, for real. Nobody gets hurt. That's number one," said Mike Shinoda in the video."We know we've been stressing all night about being cool, and this is the reason why," Chester Bennington said in the clip. "Let's go over it one more time: When someone falls, what do you do?""Pick them up," the crowd yelled back.Dave GrohlAnother clip going viral in the wake of the Astroworld tragedy is one of Dave Grohl, who was seen stopping a Foo Fighters show in 2018 when he noticed a child who appeared to need a seat. It was later revealed that the child was blind and had autism."Hold on one second," Grohl said, pausing and pointing at someone in the crowd. "Does that kid need somewhere to sit?"Grohl then invited the child and his parents to sit at the edge of the stage.SlayerIn 2018, metal band Slayer were opening their final tour in San Diego, California, when the concert was paused due to the size of the crowd. Audience members were instructed to clear the aisles for safety reasons. As fans booed the instructions, Tom Araya asked fans to cooperate."We live in a society of rules. But these rules are for your safety," he told the crowd. "They need to have cleared aisles so when something does happen, everybody has an exit, OK."The show eventually continued.ASAP RockyAt a Rolling Loud performance in 2019, ASAP Rocky stopped a performance mid-set when he noticed some people had fallen."Everybody back up, look. Watch out," he begins. "Pick the girls up, bro. Pick the girls up... What's wrong with y'all."The rapper continued yelling at the crowd to "back up" and "calm down" before he began performing again.Playboi CartiAt Playboi Carti's Lollapalooza set this summer in Chicago, organizers came onstage to halt the rapper's performance, saying people were passing out -- information Carti immediately relayed to the fans, in a video posted after the Astroworld incident. "They telling me it's a lot of people passing out. They keep stopping my music because people are passing out. I care about you guys' safety first," he said, as organizers continued to give him more information. "Everybody take three steps back and we can start the music right away."Some social media users drew comparisons to Carti's set, saying that the organizers at Astroworld should have forced a stop like they did at Lollapalooza. At another Playboi Carti show over the weekend, held after the tragedy at Astroworld, a safety warning was given to concertgoers ahead of the show, according to a video posted on TikTok."If you guys do not follow the rules, if you guys jump over to the floor, if you guys do anything that they consider dangerous, not one, not two, but just one person messing up, this show is over," the loudspeaker announcement said before Carti's appearance. "We are fighting, we are convincing them to let us do this show for you, but this show now, if it happens, it is on you. So please, let's have a good time and be respectful."

In West Chester, Takeover at the Square and Keehner Park concerts will be returning late June.Music in Mason will also be bringing back tunes to the Mason plaza."That was actually a very big generator of business for us. So, to see those things being brought back in a safe manner, I think is going to be great for us," said Matt Imm, owner of Quatman Cafe' in Mason. The city of Hamilton has a jam-packed schedule of outdoor events starting this Saturday with a Main Street spring shop hop. Alive After 5, concerts at RiversEdge and many other activities are also on the calendar. After taking a year off, one of the largest food truck rallies in the region is headed back to West Chester. "We have about 40 food trucks and other vendors that will be here ready to get our grub on," said Kerry Hendel, vice president of the Union Centre Boulevard Merchant Association. "We also bring in people from northern Kentucky, from over in Indiana as well. So, people who have seen our township before get to experience it for the first time."Depending on where the event is, who is hosting it and the number of people attending, some restrictions could be in place.Since state and federal guidelines can change day by day, so can the guidelines for different events.
