WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif. —

Four people were shot and wounded early Saturday after a fight broke out outside a Los Angeles restaurant hosting a party that followed a Justin Bieber concert, police said.

The gunfire erupted outside The Nice Guy restaurant, striking and injuring four men ages 60, 22, 20 and 19, LAPD Officer Lizeth Lomeli said. Their names were not released, but NBC News reported rapper Kodak Black was among the wounded.

Officers who responded to the scene found two victims. Paramedics took them to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, police said in an updated statement Saturday afternoon.

Two additional victims went to hospitals on their own, according to the statement. All four victims were listed in stable condition.

Detectives asked witnesses to come forward to help them identify the gunman.

Videos posted on TMZ.com and on social media show Black posing for photos with a group of people outside the restaurant when the brawl broke out. Black is among several people involved in the brawl when shots rang out, sending everyone at the scene running for cover.

Law enforcement sources told NBC News that Black, whose legal name is Bill Kapri, was among the people shot and injured. A message to his publicist at Atlantic Records has not been returned.

The party followed Bieber's private concert at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood, California as part of a Super Bowl-week party dubbed “Homecoming Weekend.” The guests at the star-studded event included Jeff Bezos, his girlfriend TV host Lauren Sánchez, “Hamilton” actor Anthony Ramos and NFL Hall-of-Famer Tony Gonzalez.

The Hollywood Reporter reports that Bieber and his wife Hailey Baldwin, Drake, Khloe Kardashian and Tobey Maguire were also among the celebrities seen entering the afterparty.

Billie Eilish had a moment during her Atlanta concert Saturday night that has gone viral for all the right reasons.

The Grammy winner was performing at State Farm Arena on her Happier Than Ever world tour when she stopped her concert to help out a fan in the crowd. "You need an inhaler?" Eilish is seen asking a young woman.

The moment was caught on camera by numerous concertgoers and posted to social media. In the video clips, Eilish turns to security and asks them to locate an inhaler.

A few moments go by while personnel check on the girl. Meanwhile, Eilish addressed the thousands of fans in the arena by saying, "It's OK ... give her some time. Don't crowd."

As for the girl, she appeared to be fine after the scare and stayed in the audience.

It has been updated so if you can resign and send back."According to Rolling Stone, the revised contract states, "(Employee) assumes full responsibility for any injuries or damages that may occur to the (employee) in, on or about the festival and its premises and fully and forever releases and discharges the released parties from any and all claims, demands, damages, rights of action or causes of action resulting from or arising out of the (employee's) attending and or providing services at the festival."The contract also clarifies that employees who sign it acknowledge that they are "not covered nor eligible for any employee benefits or insurance coverage provided by the released parties including but not limited to medical, property and liability insurance and workers compensation benefits."An anonymous staffer who received the email, but refused to sign the new contract, told Rolling Stone, "They essentially said, 'You need to sign this new form in order to get paid.' I know they weren't thinking about us and how we were feeling, in my opinion. Nobody reached out to me individually to inquire how I was. For a year and a half, music fans have been struggling to get refunds.

For Tom Relly, it was several hundred dollars worth of tickets to a canceled Foo Fighters concert.

"They are a pretty big business, and we are just little people who want our money back," he said.

In Diedre Perlmutter's case, it was a postponed Cher performance.

"Now they are not refunding anything because it has not been canceled," she said.

Mike Kramer is at his wit's end trying to get answers about his tickets to a soccer match.

He tried calling but said, "the recording flat out said we are not providing any phone support at this time."

Third-party ticket sellers may not have money to give

The good news: Ticketmaster is now refunding tickets to events canceled in 2020 and 2021.

But millions of people like Kramer are dealing with third-party ticket sellers that all have different policies.

Michelle Couch Friedman, who is with the nonprofit consumer group Elliott Advocacy, says there's nothing wrong with resellers until it comes to refunds.

"Any time you are putting a third party between you and your purchase, you are adding a layer of difficulty if there is a problem later," she said.

Many concertgoers did not even realize they were buying from a third-party ticket broker, which never even had the tickets.

"When the concerts or events are being canceled, the refunds are going to those people who were the original ticket holder," Friedman said.

That means a third-party buyer may never receive a refund.

What you can do

There are some things people can do to protect themselves when buying concert tickets or requesting a refund.

Elliott Advocacy suggests:

• Buying directly from Ticketmaster, if possible.
• Being careful when Googling for Ticketmaster. Third-party sites often pay for search engines' top listings. 
• Emailing the ticket site or contacting them through Twitter if you can't reach a human over the phone.
• Filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

Finally, customers can dispute the charge through their credit card, but if the refund is already in the works, Elliott Advocacy says that could actually muck things up and get them nowhere.

So use a credit card dispute as a last resort, so you don't waste your money.

While a countdown clock to Travis Scott's performance ticked away, it got harder to breathe Friday as people packed into the Astroworld Festival in Houston, some in the crowd told CNN. And once the concert started, cries for help went unheard as the music roared.

"They passed out. And they were on the ground and basically getting trampled. And no one would pick them up," concertgoer Billy Nasser told CNN on Monday. "There was just too many people there. It was overcrowded. The way the barricades were set up had people trapped in. It was a death trap."

At least 18 lawsuits have been filed through Tuesday after the crowd surge that left eight people dead and dozens more injured. And Scott, the rapper who headlined and organized the festival, will no longer perform at this weekend's Day N Vegas, that Nevada event's organizers announced.

One of those severely hurt Friday was a 9-year-old boy who's in a medically induced coma, his grandfather said. Five of the injured were in intensive care Monday, Houston's fire chief said.

Investigators are working to determine all possible causes of death and injuries to concertgoers, including whether a batch of counterfeit pills possibly laced with fentanyl played a role, according to The Wall Street Journal, citing people familiar with the investigation. CNN is reaching out to authorities for comment regarding The Wall Street Journal's reporting.

Toxicology reports will have to be a key part in helping assess what happened, Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo said Monday.

"That's going to take weeks," she said.

While organizers have had issues with crowd control in the past, it is too early to draw conclusions about exact causes of death, Hidalgo said.

"There's a lot of evidence of drug use. Could that have been part of it? It's hard for these families to grieve without answers," she said.

It could take up to several weeks before ruling on causes of death, said Michele Arnold, a spokesperson for the Harris County Medical Examiner's Office.

Among those injured was a security officer who "was reaching out to restrain or grab a citizen and he felt a prick in his neck," Houston Police Chief Troy Finner said Saturday. The officer went unconscious and was revived after medical staff administered Narcan, a drug used to treat narcotic overdoses.

Live Nation and Drake among named defendants

At least 18 lawsuits related to the festival had been filed by Monday evening in Harris County District Court in Texas.

Event organizer Live Nation Entertainment was named as a defendant in all but one of the suits, while Scott was named in most. Other people and organizations involved in the concert, including NRG Stadium as well as actor and musician Drake, were named in at least one of the suits.

"The injuries have had a serious effect on the Plaintiff's health and well-being. Some of the effects are permanent and will abide with the Plaintiff for a long time into the future, if not for his entire life," one of the lawsuits stated.

Other lawsuits allege serious injuries from being "trampled" during the crowd crush as well as "emotional distress."

The lawsuit in which Drake is named accuses him of helping to incite the crowd as the "surprise guest" alongside Scott, both of whom stayed on stage as "the crowd became out of control," the suit says.

Drake posted Monday on social media: "My heart is broken for the families and friends of those who lost their lives and for anyone who is suffering. I will continue to pray for all of them, and will be of service in any way I can."

Scott tweeted on Saturday: "I'm absolutely devastated by what took place last night. My prayers go out to the families and all those impacted by what happened at Astroworld Festival."

NRG told CNN in a statement it is unable to comment at this time. CNN has reached out to Scott, Live Nation and others named in the suits.

Show continued during crowd surge

Scott will cover all funeral costs for those who were killed, according to a statement Monday from a representative.

"Travis remains in active conversations with the city of Houston, law enforcement and local first responders to respectfully and appropriately connect with the individuals and families of those involved," the statement reads. "These are the first of many steps Travis plans on taking as a part of his personal vow to assist those affected throughout their grieving and recovery process."

Some city officials say more responsibility lies with Scott for continuing to perform while many in the crowd were under duress. And crowd control has been an issue at his shows in the past.

Scott pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct in Arkansas in 2018, according to 40/29, after police say he encouraged people to rush the stage at a 2017 show. Two other misdemeanor charges, including inciting a riot, were dismissed.

Scott maintains he had no idea the extent of what was happening in the crowd during Friday's show. Footage from the concert's live stream also showed Scott pausing his performance and looking on in apparent confusion as an ambulance pulled into the crowd before finishing the concert.

Houston Fire Chief Samuel Peña believes if Scott had ended his performance sooner, it may have calmed the crowd, he said.

"If the lights would have been turned on — (if) the promoter or the artist called for that — it would have chilled the crowd, and who knows? Who knows what the outcome would have been? But everybody in that venue, starting from the artist on down, has a responsibility for public safety, I believe," Peña told CNN on Monday.

Yet at a Saturday news conference, when asked why the show was not stopped sooner, the police chief cited potential rioting "when you have a group that's young" in a crowd of roughly 50,000 people.

There was a "discussion between promoters, the fire department, the police department, and NRG officials" about stopping the event," Finner said.

Swedish pop band ABBA is set to release its first new album after nearly four decades.

On Thursday, the band announced that they would release the 10-track album "Voyage" on Nov. 5.

The band also announced a "revolutionary concert," which will happen in London on May 27, featuring the band members performing digitally as avatars.

The group said the concert would use "state-of-the-art motion capture technology" designed by George Lucas' special-effects company Industrial Light & Music.

ABBA also announced that two singles from the new album, "I Still Have Faith In You" and "Don’t Shut Me Down," are both out now.

A senior at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln got the job of a lifetime when country music star Garth Brooks hired him to be part of his Saturday concert crew.

"It is my honor to introduce you...the newest crewmember that we have on the tour...ladies and gentlemen, from Lincoln, Nebraska...Carson Emeigh!" announced Garth Brooks to his 90,000 fans at Memorial Stadium.

Video shows the UNL senior running on-stage, taking in the screams of the crowd as they cheer him on.

"The lights were really bright, which I think helped so I couldn't see them as much," recalled Emeigh. "It felt really great to be out there."

On Friday, the mechanical engineering major was invited to Brooks' soundcheck with other UNL students.

During a Q&A session, he worked up the courage to ask Brooks:

"'What does it take to be a sound engineer? How do I get started in this industry? What does that look like?'" said Emeigh. "And [Brooks] said, 'Why don't you come find out tomorrow?'"

Emeigh's father, Wes Emeigh, was there the moment Emeigh found out he could be part of Saturday's crew.

"I was with him when he asked. I was as absolutely shocked as he was," he said.

On the day of the concert, Emeigh showed up at Memorial Stadium at noon to watch, learn and help out.

"His team is really top tier. They have some great people who put in a lot of energy and effort into everything that they do," Emeigh said.

During Saturday's show, Brooks told the audience the story of how he met and hired Emeigh. Emeigh said he did not know Brooks was planning on bringing him on-stage.

"They were just like, 'Go to the stage, go to the stage, go to the stage!'" he said.

Emeigh said he grew up listening to Brooks. It was his mother, Kerry's first concert years ago.

She said she got "teary-eyed" watching her son high-five and run alongside the country legend in Emeigh's hometown.

"He's worked really hard paying his way through college," she said. "I think this is a very great way to start his senior year."

It's a moment Emeigh said he'll be forever grateful for.

"I tried not to be starstruck because I was working for him. So I kept it at, 'Thank you for giving me this opportunity' and stuff. It was really, really nice. He was just a really friendly guy who had a lot of great things to say," he said. "I'm sure it'll take some time before I've fully-processed what's happened."

Emeigh will start his senior year at UNL in less than two weeks. He told the Garth Brooks crew that if they need his help for future shows, he'd be happy to help out again.
