CINCINNATI — As ESPN's College GameDay kicks off, fans brought their best signs to show support for UC Bearcats.

It is all part of the GameDay experience.

Here are some of the best signs our team has seen so far:

College GameDay kicked off in Clifton live from The Commons at 9 a.m. ESPN opened The Pit area for fans at 6:30 a.m. This is the first time the show's ever been in Cincinnati and UC fans brought a lot of energy Saturday morning.

Fans with the best signs will win two tickets to the game. Following GameDay, UC's homecoming parade will immediately follow.

The Bearcats' catwalk starts in Campus Green around 1 p.m. and the undefeated team will face Tulsa at 3:30 p.m. at Nippert Stadium.

CINCINNATI — The College GameDay panel joined the "Bomb Squad" Friday, watching St. Xavier defeat GLC South rivals Elder to advance in the OHSAA football playoffs.

Desmond Howard shared a video on social media showing the St. X student section chanting as he, Rece Davis and Kirk Herbstreit stood on the sideline. Herbstreit's son, Chase, attends St. X though the freshman quarterback does not play on the varsity team.

"Wow!! Des the [St. X] student section is NO JOKE," Herbstreit tweeted in response to Howard. "Love their energy — Bombers rolling in the 2nd round of Ohio HS playoffs."

Davis said he and the rest of the crew attended the game as Herbstriet's guests. Herbstreit, who attended Centerville High School outside Dayton, said Friday he is a "Cincinnati guy" despite not growing up in the city.

"My dad went to Reading High School, so I would visit my grandparents all the time in Reading when I was a kid," Herbstreit asid. "I'm obviously very familiar with the city, I'm a die-hard Reds and Bengals fan."

While the GameDay analysts were in Finneytown, some UC students were sleeping outside to secure a spot in the pit area during Saturday's pregame show. CINCINNATI — College GameDay is pulling out all the stops for its first visit to Cincinnati Saturday.

With rumors swirling about what famous Bearcats fans might be involved in the three-hour college football pregame, ESPN announced Nick Lachey as their celebrity guest picker. Though born in Harlan, Ky., the singer and television host grew up in Cincinnati — attending the School for Creative and Performing Arts and singing at Kings Island before forming boyband 98 Degrees.

In a video posted to social media, Lachey said he was "super excited" to be the picker in Cincinnati — "the center of the college football universe this weekend."

"Corso, all I can say is, better have that Bearcat head ready," Lachey said.

Lachey said in a tweet his grandfather was a UC professor for 40 years and his parents met at the school.

"Just because I didn't go to school there doesn't mean I'm not a die-hard Bearcat fan," Lachey said. "I was raise going to see #Bearcats football at Nippert since the early 80s...no one is more excited to see GameDay come to Clifton than me."

In addition to his Bearcats fandom, Lachey is a fan of the Cincinnati Reds and Bengals — making jabs at the rival Steelers after their game Sept. 26.

Lachey and his brother, Drew, founded a sports bar in the city that was open for three years. He most recently competed on season five of the singing competition series "The Masked Singer," winning as "Piglet." He serves as a judge on the show's spinoff, "Alter Ego."

Reality television fans might also know Lachey as the star of "Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica" with ex-wife Jessica Simpson, a competitor on "Dancing With The Stars" or the host of Netflix's "Love is Blind" with wife Vanessa Lachey. He and Vanessa Lachey have three children.

Clifton will be the epicenter of college football Saturday as Lee Corso and crew are live from The Commons starting at 9 a.m. Head coach Luke Fickell is expected to appear live as well.
