It's no surprise Taylor Swift has been playing two additional songs during each night her tour. But Cincinnati fans got a little extra on night two at Paycor Stadium.The second night of Swift's "Eras" tour began in hectic fashion, with Swift performing an hour earlier than originally planned. Most 'Swifties' had anticipated two additional songs, as she's been doing every stop, but they never thought she would play three.Swift started Saturday night's surprise set list with "Ivy," which features Cincinnati native and "The National" musician Aaron Dessner. Dessner joined Swift on stage for the song, which had never been performed live before Saturday night.While her surprise songs are usually ones she wrote, Swift called up opening act Gracie Abrams to perform Abrams' song, "I Miss You, I'm Sorry." This marked the first song Swift has performed that is not her own.She ended the surprise song set with "Call It What You Want" on the piano.

Despite a limited capacity, fans had the energy buzzing at TQL Stadium on Sunday.They said they are grateful the day has arrived as they welcomed their team into new digs, while getting a taste of it themselves.FC Cincinnati played Inter Miami, losing 3-2.Fans said they have a lot of excitement for the future of the team and its stadium."There's a lot of excitement. The field, the grass field and everything," fan Greg Thielman said.A new home and greater energy than ever before."We've been coming since the very beginning in 2015. So, to see them expand and grow is something that is super exciting to be a part of," fan Devin Biser said.Six thousand FC Cincinnati fans came for a new chapter at TQL Stadium and to make some waves in Major League Soccer.And yes, the Bailey still rocks the house."It's really exciting for the city, you know, to see that we put up a beautiful stadium, have something exciting to come out to, especially with COVID ending," fan Jahmar Daniels said.The pandemic would've made this seem impossible a year ago.Masks, social distancing and limited attendance were part of the fan experience.Many came decked out in orange and blue gear, not deterred by the current state of affairs."I've got my 2016 inaugural season scarf, you know, for the opening game. It just kind of helps you get ready in your mind for the game," fan AJ Eaves said.Despite the loss on Sunday, fans told us they've stuck with this team from the start.They'll keep coming back here."It's been a long time coming. I went to pretty much every game I've been able to go to over at Nippert Stadium," fan Kyle Ryder said.Fans said their loyalty runs deep.They can't wait to be joined by more fans soon."Win or lose or draw, I'm here for FCC," Ryder said.Fans including Ryder said they expect full attendance will really make the new stadium light up.

CINCINNATI — Cincinnati’s restaurant inspection program is understaffed, lacks management oversight and suffers from technology problems, city auditors found in a report they issued in April.

Cincinnati Health Commissioner Melba Moore welcomed the critique and promised to get “more boots on the ground” by reclassifying two vacant, senior-level positions as inspectors as soon as next month. But she stressed that diners in Cincinnati are already safe because the eight inspectors that enforce food-safety rules are experienced and well-trained.

“No, I don’t think it’s a risk,” she said. “My team is quality. And the extensive training that they receive, it’s a blessing to have them.”

The food-safety program has 14 employees who enforce Ohio health codes at 2,500 licensed facilities in the city, including restaurants, schools, grocery stores and stadium concession stands. But only eight of those employees conduct inspections on a full-time basis. The audit found those inspectors have caseloads requiring between 485 and 694 inspections per year. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration recommends sanitarians conduct no more than 320 inspections annually.

“The minimum number of inspections required per sanitarian is sometimes double the amount of work set forth by (FDA) guidelines,” the audit said. This means “work performed by sanitarians may be done quickly and hastily while jeopardizing a thorough and complete investigation.”

Adding two inspectors to the mix would bring the group’s average number of inspections down to about 450, but that’s still above FDA guidelines.

Quality vs. quantity?

Gurmukh Singh, who owns the Elephant Walk restaurant in Clifton Heights and Clifton Market on Ludlow Avenue, doesn’t think inspectors are cutting corners.

But, he said, they are busy.

“When they’re here, they do a thorough inspection,” Singh said. “We see them like twice a year. Talking to some of them, that’s what they say, they have a lot of workload.”

Did you know that Cincinnati is becoming hip? Thanks to a lot of gentrification and the 2015 MLB All-Star Game, there are many Cincinnati attractions that showcase its great food and beer scene, as well as its downtown core. In this video, I cover 5 things every tourist should do in Cincinnati!

Firstly, you have to take a tour with American Legacy Tours. I did the Queen City Haunted Tour that takes you on a ghost tour of the city, including inside the haunted Symphony Hotel! The company offers other great tours as well, like the Underground Tour that shows you the city's hidden tunnels.

The second of the Cincinnati attractions is the Over-The-Rhine neighborhood. This is a trendy neighborhood that has been gentrified and has an excellent food and beer selection, including my favorite cider at Rhinegeist Brewing Company.

Third on the list is Graeter's Ice Cream, which is a local chain with multiple locations across Cincinnati. They are known for their black raspberry chip flavor which I recommend!

Fourth is Smale Riverfront Park, a new downtown park along the riverfront that contains illuminated fountains, a playground, and a "Queen City" sign. It is clean and beautiful, an absolute treat for locals.

Finally, you have to walk across the John A. Roebling suspension bridge. The bridge has great views of the city and river and will take you right to Kentucky. On the other side of the bridge, you will get a full-scale view of the downtown Cincinnati skyline.

In summary, there are a lot of great things to do in Cincinnati, highlighted by their bars and restaurants, inviting downtown core, and sports as well.
