<p>Montana police said Tuesday <a class="Link" href="https://www.ktvq.com/news/local-news/billings-two-males-found-shot-dead-in-crashed-car" target="_blank" rel="noopener">morning that investigators believe a d</a>isturbance occurred inside a vehicle prior to it crashing in the city of Billings. </p>
<p>Lt. Brandon Wooley said officers were dispatched at 3:11 a.m. local time to a vehicle crash in the 300 block of South 27th Street. When officers arrived they said they found two men inside a vehicle unresponsive and not breathing. The men, both estimated to be in their 20s, had suffered apparent gunshot wounds and died at the scene, Wooley said. </p>
<p>Their names have not yet been released. A third person inside the vehicle was taken by ambulance to a medical facility. He was identified as a 22-year-old man from Billings, but his name was not released. </p>

<p>STOCKTON, Calif. — Mannequins floating in water near a California highway were mistaken for bodies and prompted people to call 911.</p>
<p>California Highway Patrol (CHP) – Stockton posted photos of the plastic models and reassured the Stockton community that nobody was harmed.</p>
<p>CHP <a class="Link" href="https://sacramento.cbslocal.com/2021/02/15/stockton-bodies-floating-mannequins/">told KOVR</a> that officers received a 911 call around 8 a.m. Monday from a trucker who spotted the mannequin carnage.</p>
<p>CHP Officer Ruben Jones told KOVR that the incident was taken very seriously, since homicides have surged in the area over the last year.</p>
<p>But once officers realized real humans weren’t involved, they got the green light to have a little fun with the situation online.</p>
<p>CHP jokingly posted on <a class="Link" href="https://www.facebook.com/CHPStocktonArea/posts/3712200722202251">Facebook</a> about “the Stockton Kraken” getting revenge on Valentine’s Day. Officers hoped the community would find humor in the situation, as they did.</p>
<p>"Sometimes we see the worst scenarios in different situations, but this one we got a good laugh out of it and a good chuckle,” Jones told KOVR.</p>
<p>The mannequins were quickly removed from the water, so others wouldn’t mistake them for bodies.</p>
<p>As for where they came from, that remains a mystery. Though, authorities say litter is often found in the area. </p>

The search continued Friday for two boys believed to have been thrown in the Ohio River and just after 8 p.m., a Dearborn County water rescue team came in with a boat after dogs sniffed out a "possible target."Friday's search was supposed to end around 8 p.m. but after possible detection, lights have been lit in the area as investigators continue their work.A few dozen volunteers joined North Star Search and Recovery and Ohio LandSAR in Lawrenceburg in search of 3-year-old Nylo Lattimore and 6-year-old James Hutchinson."It just felt like the thing to do. I'm a mom, and sitting at home, there was nothing I could do. So, I wanted to come out here and help search," said volunteer, Kelley Workman.Peter Ehoodin also volunteered his time."It's the thing to do. I'm retired. I can't sit at home and watch it, so that's why I'm here," Ehoodin said.Crews planned on searching 86 acres of land called the Oxbow."This was one of the main areas that we wanted to get to, and we absolutely could not get to it. We couldn't even get the water cadaver dogs in there," said North Star spokesperson, Tracey Campbell. "We kept thinking the water was going to subside. It would dry out, but then we'd get another day of rain."Now, the floodplain near the Carol Cropper bridge is dry. That's the bridge where Middletown police said James was thrown into the river by his mother and her boyfriend in February. Investigators said the couple tied a concrete block to his body before they threw him in.Investigators in Hamilton County said Nylo was tossed in about 17 miles upriver by his mother's boyfriend in December."We're not going to stop until we succeed in our mission, and it's to bring those boys home," Campbell said.
