Actress Dana Delany recently visited the emergency room after taking a nasty spill down a flight of stairs and suffering a head injury.

The actress detailed on social media that after the unexpected death of "Full House" actor Bob Saget, the fall she suffered prompted her to seek medical attention.

In a separate tweet, Delany explained how she hurt herself in the first place.

"Thank you all for your concern," Delany said in the tweet. "I fell down some iron stairs head first (totally sober!) & all I could think of was poor Bob Saget. So I grabbed the handrail with my face. I was afraid it was fractured but thankfully, no. The folks at St John's emergency took great care of me."

Saget passed away last month after the chief medical examiner confirmed that he died due to blunt head trauma.

The late actor's family said he likely suffered the head trauma after falling in his hotel room.

Saget was found in a hotel room in Orlando, Florida, on Jan. 9. No illicit drugs or toxins were found in his system, and his death was accidental, the ME said.

Bog Saget, who was found dead in his Orlando, Florida hotel room last month, died from the result of head trauma, according to a statement from his family.

"The authorities have determined that Bob passed from head trauma. They have concluded that he accidentally hit the back of his head on something, thought nothing of it and went to sleep," the statement said. "No drugs or alcohol were involved."

The family added that they have been "overwhelmed with the incredible outpouring of love from Bob's fans, which has been a great comfort to us and for which we are eternally grateful."

"As we continue to mourn together, we ask everyone to remember the love and laughter that Bob brought to this world, and the lessons he taught us all: to be kind to everyone, to let the people you love know you love them, and to face difficult times with hugs and laughter," the statement added.

The medical examiner for Orange and Osceola counties released an official statement on Saget's death Thursday morning.

"In consideration of the circumstances surrounding the death and after examination of the body, toxicology analysis, histology, and a respiratory pathogen panel, it is my opinion that the death of Mr. Saget, was the result of blunt head trauma. His injuries were most likely incurred from an unwitnessed fall. A toxicology analysis did not reveal any illicit drugs or toxins. The manner of death is accident," the statement from Chief Medical Examiner Joshua Stephany reads.

The 65-year-old "Full House" star had been on a comedy tour at the time of his death.

Speculation had swirled around the state of his health as Saget had said he had COVID-19 in December.

His widow, Kelly Rizzo, told "Good Morning America" during an interview last month that her husband appeared to be in good health prior to his death and that his having COVID-19 in December "was not anything serious."

An autopsy was completed on Saget by the Orange County Medical Examiner in Florida the day after he died.

"At this time, there is no evidence of drug use or foul play," Chief Medical Examiner Joshua Stephany said in a statement to CNN at the time. "The cause and manner of death are pending further studies and investigation which may take up to 10-12 weeks to complete."

The Orange County Sheriff's Office released a death investigation report, obtained by CNN, which stated they found no signs of foul play in the "orderly" hotel room.

Saget had been expected to check out of the Ritz-Carlton on Sunday morning and his family members contacted hotel security when they were unable to reach the star, according to the report.

"Now that we have the final conclusions from the authorities' investigation, we felt it only proper that the fans hear those conclusions directly from us," the family's statement added.

A death investigation report for Bob Saget was released Monday by the Orange County Sheriff's Office.

The report states that Saget was expected to check out Sunday and his family had been unable to get ahold of him. Records showed the last time he used his key card to enter his room was 2:17 a.m. Sunday.

Family members contacted Ritz-Carlton security who sent a team member to perform a welfare check.

When the security team member entered the room, he noted all the lights were off. Officials released 911 audio from after Saget was found. In it, the caller is heard describing him as “unresponsive, not breathing, with no pulse.”

Investigators found no signs of foul play. The room was "orderly" with Bob Saget's items on the nightstand, TV stand, closet and bathroom.

According to the report, Saget's "left arm was across his chest while his right arm was resting on the bed. No signs of trauma were seen."

He observed that Saget was on his bed and was "cold to the touch, yellow and clammy."

Hotel management spoke with Saget's wife, Kelly Rizzo, to inform her of his death.

He was then pronounced dead at 4:18 p.m.

The Medical Examiner's Office will ultimately determine the cause and manner of death.
