A South Carolina woman is giving a peek into her relationship with a "momma bear" that she says she's recorded in photos and videos for about a decade.Susie, who did not want to give her last name, said her family's property adjoins a wildlife area, and judging from the images she's recorded, momma bear considers it her property too.The most recent video shows the adult female nursing her three cubs under a tree in her backyard."I took the video from our sunroom, zooming in with my cell phone," Susie said. She said the video was taken on May 20, and "momma bear and kids" stayed in her yard for about an hour and a half. "When she brings her family to our home, she will often take a long nap in the shade in the woods while her cubs climb trees, romp and wrestle in the backyard," Susie said. She claims this particular bear has been visiting her home for about a decade."These three cubs bring the count (of offspring) up to at least 10 cubs that we’ve had the privilege of watching her raise," Susie said. Susie says the photos on her phone of the mothering bear go back to 2017, "but she’s been coming around much longer than that."She chronicled the years from her photos and videos like this:In 2017-2018, she raised 1 cub In 2019-2020, she raised 2 cubs In 2021-2022, she raised quadruplets"And these triplets are her latest batch, probably born in January," Susie said.Susie said she has learned several lessons from the bear and her cubs through the years, some of them more painful than others."After she booted those two cubs out on their own in 2020, I was outside one evening, and could hear the cubs crying for her," she said. "It was utterly heartbreaking to hear them bellowing for her. I pray those cubs have fared well since."She's also learned that they have to take down their bird feeders when momma and the cubs come around, "or they will tear up the feeders to access the birdseed," she said.Susie says her house is evidently in momma’s regular territory, because she comes by every few days with the family, often lingering in the backyard. "Of course, we never know when she’ll show up, but when she does, if we’re outside--as my hubby was over Labor Day weekend when he was painting the house--we simply come inside until she and the kids mosey on," she said."I have to admit, it’s been awfully cute to watch the cubs rock on our deck rocking chairs and play on our deck lounge chairs," she said.Susie said she and her husband have had some close encounters with the momma bear over the years, and have a healthy respect for her. "She will charge if she believes we’re too close to the cubs," she said.Still, she describes the relationship she and her husband have with the bear:"This bear is such a good momma, and she’s been visiting our yard for so long, that we consider her and her family as almost a part of our family. In no way do we regard her or her cubs as pets (she could take us out with one swipe of her paw), but I worry about their safety and regularly keep momma and her cubs in my prayers."

<p>As the 2021-22 NFL season ends, familiar faces will be coaching on different sidelines next season as several NFL teams go on a hiring spree.</p>
<p>The head coaching carousel didn't take off as fast as it typically does, with <a class="Link" href="https://www.nfl.com/news/nfl-coach-hires-exploring-results-of-another-cycle-marred-by-diversity-issues">NFL Network's Judy Battista</a> pointing out that the first hire didn't occur until 18 days after the regular season ended.</p>
<p>Nine teams announced they were searching for a new head coach, which is two more than last year, <a class="Link" href="https://www.espn.com/nfl/insider/insider/story/_/id/33144559/grading-nfl-head-coach-hires-2022-assessing-move-how-team-fared-comes-next">ESPN</a> reported.</p>
<p>Three of the teams, the Minnesota Vikings, Houston Texans, and New Orleans Saints, have yet to fill their vacancies.</p>
<p>Below you'll find a list of all the teams that have hired new head coaches:</p>
<p><b>Chicago Bears </b>- After going 6-11 this season, the Bears fired head coach Matt Nagy. They became the second team to choose a new head coach when they hired Indianapolis Colts defensive coordinator <a class="Link" href="https://www.chicagobears.com/news/bears-hire-colts-defensive-coordinator-matt-eberflus-as-head-coach">Matt Eberflus</a> on Jan. 27. The 51-year-old has 13 years of NFL coaching experience, having spent time in Cleveland and Dallas. This will be his first-ever head coaching gig.</p>
<p><b>Denver Broncos</b> - The Broncos were the first team to make a splash when they announced they'd hired Green Bay Packers offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett. On Jan. 27, the 42-year-old became its 18th head coach, its fourth head coach in seven years. The team has struggled at the quarterback position, with the team having 11 different starters since 2016, KMGH's Troy Renck <a class="Link" href="https://www.thedenverchannel.com/sports/broncos/im-so-excited-to-get-to-work-nathaniel-hackett-introduced-as-new-denver-broncos-head-coach">reported</a>. </p>
<p><b>Houston Texans </b>- The team fired David Culley after just one season in which the Texans went 4-13, <a class="Link" href="https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/33058754/source-houston-texans-fire-coach-david-culley-just-one-season">ESPN</a> reported. According to <a class="Link" href="https://twitter.com/RapSheet/status/1490717269529296896?s=20&amp;t=_5GgR6ABE_JJM8wTcnPquQ">NFL Network's Ian Rapoport</a> and <a class="Link" href="https://twitter.com/JayGlazer/status/1490711102270832643?s=20&amp;t=n4TuQAjsx_zE652j27eDoQ">Fox Sports' Jay Glazer</a>, the team is set to hire former Bears head coach Lovie Smith.</p>
<p><b>Jacksonville Jaguars </b>- In December, Urban Meyer was <a class="Link" href="https://www.wtxl.com/sports/jaguars-fire-urban-meyer-after-2-11-start">fired</a> before finishing his first season as an NFL head coach. The franchise is looking to the future because the fifth team announced a new head coach when they added former Philadelphia Eagles coach <a class="Link" href="https://www.jaguars.com/news/official-pederson-hired-as-head-coach">Doug Pederson</a> on Feb. 3. During his time with the Eagles, Pederson led the team to a Super Bowl LII victory.</p>
<p><b>Las Vegas Raiders</b> - On Oct. 11, Jon Gruden <a class="Link" href="https://www.ktnv.com/news/national/reports-jon-gruden-out-as-head-coach-of-raiders">resigned</a> as head coach midway through the season after a report published by <a class="Link" href="https://www.nytimes.com/2021/10/11/sports/football/what-did-jon-gruden-say.html">The New York Times</a> stated that Gruden had made homophobic and misogynistic comments in the past. Under interim head coach Rich Bisaccia, the team clinched their first playoff berth since 2016. </p>
<p>On Jan. 31, the team named New England Patriots offensive coordinator <a class="Link" href="https://www.ktnv.com/sports/raiders/las-vegas-raiders-announce-hiring-of-josh-mcdaniels-as-new-head-coach">Josh McDaniels</a> its next head coach. This isn't McDaniels' first head coaching job. He served as the Broncos head coach from 2009-10.</p>
<p><b>Miami Dolphins </b>- In January, the team fired head coach <a class="Link" href="https://www.abcactionnews.com/news/national/fired-miami-dolphins-coach-sues-nfl-alleging-racist-hiring">Brian Flores</a> after he led the Dolphins to a 24-25 record over three years. On Feb. 1, Flores filed a class-action lawsuit against the league alleging racist hiring. </p>
<p>As the team looks to the future, they hired San Francisco 49ers offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel. McDaniel, who identifies as multiracial, is the first minority head coach hire in the 2022 cycle, the Washington Post <a class="Link" href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/2022/02/06/mike-mcdaniel-dolphins-coach/">reported</a>.</p>
<p><b>Minnesota Vikings</b> - The Vikings <a class="Link" href="https://www.nfl.com/news/vikings-fire-hc-mike-zimmer-gm-rick-spielman#:~:text=The%20Minnesota%20Vikings%20fired%20coach,Minnesota%20later%20announced%20their%20departures.">fired</a> head coach Mike Zimmer on Jan. 10 and are expected to name Los Angeles Rams offensive coordinator Kevin O'Connell its next head coach, according to <a class="Link" href="https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/vikings-land-kevin-oconnell-as-head-coach-minnesota-intends-to-finalize-deal-with-rams-oc-after-super-bowl/">CBS Sports</a> and <a class="Link" href="https://www.si.com/nfl/vikings/news/vikings-to-hire-rams-oc-kevin-oconnell-head-coach-after-super-bowl-lvi">Sports Illustrated</a>.</p>
<p><b>New York Giants</b> - The <a class="Link" href="https://www.giants.com/news/giants-hire-brian-daboll-as-head-coach#:~:text=EAST%20RUTHERFORD%2C%20N.J.,the%20Buffalo%20Bills'%20offensive%20coordinator.">Giants</a> became the third team to announce they've hired a new head coach when they picked Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator Brian Daboll. The 46-year-old takes over from Joe Judge, who was fired on Jan. 11 after two seasons. This will be his first head coaching job, but he has 20 years of NFL coaching experience, including stops in Cleveland, New England, Miami, and Kansas City.</p>
<p><b>New Orleans Saints </b>- After spending 15 seasons with the team and leading them to a Super Bowl championship in 2010, head coach Sean Payton <a class="Link" href="https://www.katc.com/sports/sean-payton-stepping-down-as-saints-head-coach">announced</a> on Jan. 25 that he was stepping down as head coach. They have yet to name a new head coach.</p>

A teddy bear toss at a Pennsylvania minor league hockey game has reportedly set a new world record. When the Hershey Bears scored their first goal on Saturday night, fans were prompted to toss all the stuffed animals they brought to the game onto the ice. According to team officials, 52,341 stuffed animals were collected and donated to various organizations. This year's toss surpassed the Hershey Bear's 2019 event total of 45,650, which was the previous world record. Last year, due to the pandemic, the team collected the stuffed animals at a drive-thru fundraiser instead of at a game. In total, the club has collected an estimated 322,199 plush toys since 2001.The team, which is an affiliate of the NHL's Washington Capitals, also elicited a big cash donation Saturday night.Bears fan Jeff Sweigart said if the record was broken, he'd donate $50,000.That money will go to Children's Miracle Network at Penn State Health Children's Hospital. After the toss, the Bears went on to defeat the Hartford Wolf Pack, 5-0.Watch the video above for more on this story.
