Iranian authorities arrested one of the country’s most famous actresses on charges of spreading falsehoods about nationwide protests that grip the country, state media said Saturday. The report by IRNA said Taraneh Alidoosti, star of the Oscar-winning movie "The Salesman," was detained a week after she made a post on Instagram expressing solidarity with the first man recently executed for crimes allegedly committed during the nationwide protests.IRNA also said several other Iranian celebrities had "been summoned by the judiciary body over publishing provocative content." It did not say how many or provide further details.According to the report published on the state media’s official Telegram channel, Alidoosti was arrested because she did not provide "any documents in line with her claims."In her post, the 38-year-old actress said: "His name was Mohsen Shekari. Every international organization who is watching this bloodshed and not taking action, is a disgrace to humanity."Shekari was executed on Dec. 9 after being charged by an Iranian court with blocking a street in Tehran and attacking a member of the country's security forces with a machete.Last Week, Iran executed a second prisoner, Majidreza Rahnavard, in connection with the protests. Rahnavard's body was left hanging from a construction crane as a gruesome warning to others. Iranian authorities alleged Rahnavard stabbed two members of its paramilitary force. Both men were executed less than a month after they were charged, underscoring the speed at which Iran now carries out death sentences imposed for alleged crimes related to the demonstrations. Activists say at least a dozen people have been sentenced to death in closed-door hearings.Alidoosti has made at least three posts on her Instagram account expressing solidarity with protesters since the demonstrations broke out in September. Her account, which had some 8 million followers, has been suspended.Iran has been rocked by protests since the Sept. 16 death of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini, who died after being detained by the morality police. The protests have since morphed into one of the most serious challenges to Iran’s theocracy installed by the 1979 Islamic Revolution.Alidoosti has previously criticized the Iranian government and its police force. In June 2020, she was given a suspended five-month prison sentence after she criticized the police on Twitter in 2018 for assaulting a woman who had removed her headscarf.Other movies Alidoosti has starred in include “The Beautiful City” and “About Elly.”Hengameh Ghaziani and Katayoun Riahi, two other famous actresses in Iran, were arrested by authorities for expressing solidarity with protesters on social media. Both have been released. At least 495 people have been killed in the demonstrations amid a harsh security crackdown, according to Human Rights Activists in Iran, a group that has been monitoring the protests since they began. Over 18,200 people have been detained by authorities.

Warning: These videos are graphic in nature. Click here to watch the full video.Memphis authorities released video footage Friday showing Tyre Nichols being beaten by police officers who held the Black motorist down and repeatedly struck him with their fists, boots and batons as he screamed for his mother and pleaded, “I just want to go home.”The video is filled with violent moments showing the officers, who are also Black, chasing and pummeling Nichols and leaving him on the pavement propped against a squad car as they fist-bumped and celebrated their actions. The footage emerged one day after the officers were charged with murder in Nichols’ death. The chilling images of another Black man dying at the hands of police provoked tough questions about the nation's policing culture and raised the specter of renewed protests less than three years after a wave of demonstrations wracked the country. The recordings shows police savagely beating the 29-year-old FedEx worker for three minutes while screaming profanities at him throughout the attack. The Nichols family legal team has likened the assault to the infamous 1991 police beating of Los Angeles motorist Rodney King. After the first officer roughly pulls Nichols out of a car, Nichols can be heard saying, “I didn't do anything,” as a group of officers begins to wrestle him to the ground.“Get on the ground!," one officer yells, as another is heard yelling “Tase him! Tase him!”Warning: The videos below are graphic in natureRead more:Five former officers charged in Tyre Nichols' death What we know and don't know about the death of Tyre NicholsTimeline of Tyre Nichols arrest and deathNichols calmly replied soon after being wrestled to the pavement, “OK, I’m on the ground.” Moments later, as the officers continue to yell, Nichols says, “Man, I am on the ground.”An officer yells, “Put your hands behind your back before I break your (expletive).” Moments later, an officer yells, “(Expletive), put your hands behind your back before I break them.”“You guys are really doing a lot right now,” Nichols says loudly to the officers. “I’m just trying to go home.”“Stop, I’m not doing anything,” he yells moment later. The camera is briefly obscured, and then Nichols can be seen running as an officer fires a Taser at him. The officers then start chasing Nichols.Other officers are called and a search ensues before Nichols is caught at another intersection. The officers beat him again, this time using a baton, kicking and punching him.Security camera footage shows three officers surrounding Nichols as he lies in the street cornered between police cars, with a fourth officer nearby. Two officers hold Nichols to the ground as he moves about, and then the third appears to kick him in the head. Nichols slumps more fully onto the pavement with all three officers surrounding him. The same officer kicks him again. The fourth officer then walks over, unfurls a baton and holds it up at shoulder level as two officers hold Nichols upright as if he were sitting.“I’m going to baton the out of you,” one officer can be heard saying. His body camera shows him raise his baton while at least one other officer holds Nichols. The officer strikes Nichols on the back with the baton. He strikes him again, and then a third time.Video below: CNN interviews Sanjay Gupta about Tyre Nichols' injuries and the slow medical responseThe other officers then appear to hoist Nichols to his feet, with him flopping like a doll, barely able to stay upright despite the bracing arms.An officer then punches him in the face, as the officer with the baton continues to menace him. Nichols stumbles and turns, still held up by two officers. The officer who punched him then walks around to Nichols’ front and punches him three more times. Then Nichols collapses. Two officers can then be seen atop Nichols on the ground, with a third nearby, for about 40 seconds. Three more officers then run up and one can be seen kicking Nichols on the ground. At one point, as Nichols is slumped up against a car and none of the officers are rendering aid, the body camera footage shows a first-person view of one of them reaching down and tying his shoe.It takes more than 20 minutes after Nichols is beaten and on the pavement before any sort of medical attention is provided to him, even though two fire department officers arrived on the scene with medical equipment within 10 minutes.Cities across the country braced for large demonstrations. Nichols’ relatives urged supporters to protest peacefully. Memphis Police Director Cerelyn Davis described the officers' actions as “heinous, reckless and inhumane,” and said that her department has been unable to substantiate the reckless driving allegation that prompted the stop. She told The Associated Press in an interview that there is no video of the traffic stop that shows Nichols recklessly driving. During the initial stop, the video shows the officers were “already ramped up, at about a 10,” she said. The officers were “aggressive, loud, using profane language and probably scared Mr. Nichols from the very beginning.”Nichols' mother, RowVaughn Wells, warned supporters of the “horrific” nature of the video but pleaded for peace.“I don’t want us burning up our city, tearing up the streets, because that’s not what my son stood for,” she said Thursday. “If you guys are here for me and Tyre, then you will protest peacefully.” Speaking at the White House, President Joe Biden said Friday that he was “very concerned” about the prospect of violence and called for protests to remain peaceful.Biden said he spoke with Nichols' mother earlier in the day and told her that he was going to be “making a case” to Congress to pass the George Floyd Act “to get this under control.” The legislation, which has been stalled, is meant to tackle police misconduct and excessive force and boost federal and state accountability efforts.Video below: Biden urges peaceful protests following Tyre Nichols body cam footage releaseFBI Director Christopher Wray said he was “appalled” by the video and that all FBI field officers have been alerted to work with state and local partners, including in Memphis, “in the event of something getting out of hand.”Court records showed that all five former officers — Tadarrius Bean, Demetrius Haley, Desmond Mills Jr., Emmitt Martin III and Justin Smith — were taken into custody. The officers each face charges of second-degree murder, aggravated assault, aggravated kidnapping, official misconduct and official oppression. Four of the five officers had posted bond and been released from custody by Friday morning, according to court and jail records.Martin’s lawyer, William Massey, and Mills’ lawyer, Blake Ballin, said their clients would plead not guilty. Lawyers for Smith, Bean and Haley could not be reached.“No one out there that night intended for Tyre Nichols to die,” Massey said.Second-degree murder is punishable by 15 to 60 years in prison under Tennessee law.Patrick Yoes, the national president of the Fraternal Order of Police, condemned the alleged actions of the Memphis officers.“The event as described to us does not constitute legitimate police work or a traffic stop gone wrong. This is a criminal assault under the pretext of law," Yoes said in a statement.Rallies and demonstrations were planned Friday night in Memphis, Boston, Chicago, Detroit, New York City, Portland, Oregon and Washington.New York Mayor Eric Adams, a former police officer, said he and other mayors across the country had been briefed by the White House in advance of the video’s release, which he said would “trigger pain and sadness in many of us. It will make us angry.”Antonio Romanucci and Ben Crump, attorneys for the Nichols' family, called on the police chief to disband the department’s so-called scorpion unit focused on street crime.Nichols “at all times was an innocent victim,” Romanucci said Friday. "He did nothing wrong. He was caught up in a sting. This scorpion unit was designed to saturate under the guise of crime fighting, and what it wound up doing instead was creating a continual pattern and practice of bad behavior.” Davis said other officers are still being investigated for violating department policy. In addition, she said “a complete and independent review” will be conducted of the department’s specialized units, without providing further details. Two fire department workers were also removed from duty.As state and federal investigations continue, Davis promised the police department’s “full and complete cooperation."___Associated Press reporters Aaron Morrison in New York; Travis Loller in Nashville, Tennessee; and Rebecca Reynolds in Lexington, Kentucky, contributed to this report.

<p>An officer then punches him in the face, as the officer with the baton continues to menace him. Nichols stumbles and turns, still held up by two officers. The officer who punched him then walks around to Nichols’ front and punches him three more times. Then Nichols collapses.</p>
<p>Two officers can then be seen atop Nichols on the ground, with a third nearby, for about 40 seconds. Three more officers then run up and one can be seen kicking Nichols on the ground.</p>
<p>At one point, as Nichols is slumped up against a car and none of the officers are rendering aid, the body camera footage shows a first-person view of one of them reaching down and tying his shoe.</p>
<p>It takes more than 20 minutes after Nichols is beaten and on the pavement before any sort of medical attention is provided to him, even though two fire department officers arrived on the scene with medical equipment within 10 minutes.</p>
<p>Cities across the country braced for large demonstrations. Nichols’ relatives urged supporters to protest peacefully. </p>
<p>Memphis Police Director Cerelyn Davis described the officers' actions as “heinous, reckless and inhumane,” and said that her department has been unable to substantiate the reckless driving allegation that prompted the stop.</p>
<p>She told The Associated Press in an interview that there is no video of the traffic stop that shows Nichols recklessly driving.</p>
<p>During the initial stop, the video shows the officers were “already ramped up, at about a 10,” she said. The officers were “aggressive, loud, using profane language and probably scared Mr. Nichols from the very beginning.”</p>
<p>Nichols' mother, RowVaughn Wells, warned supporters of the “horrific” nature of the video but pleaded for peace.</p>
<p>“I don’t want us burning up our city, tearing up the streets, because that’s not what my son stood for,” she said Thursday. “If you guys are here for me and Tyre, then you will protest peacefully.” </p>
<p>Speaking at the White House, President Joe Biden said Friday that he was “very concerned” about the prospect of violence and called for protests to remain peaceful.</p>
<p>Biden said he spoke with Nichols' mother earlier in the day and told her that he was going to be “making a case” to Congress to pass the George Floyd Act “to get this under control.” The legislation, which has been stalled, is meant to tackle police misconduct and excessive force and boost federal and state accountability efforts.</p>
<p><strong><em>Video below: Biden urges peaceful protests following Tyre Nichols body cam footage release</em></strong></p>
<p>FBI Director Christopher Wray said he was “appalled” by the video and that all FBI field officers have been alerted to work with state and local partners, including in Memphis, “in the event of something getting out of hand.”</p>
<p>Court records showed that all five former officers — Tadarrius Bean, Demetrius Haley, Desmond Mills Jr., Emmitt Martin III and Justin Smith — were taken into custody.</p>
<p>The officers each face charges of second-degree murder, aggravated assault, aggravated kidnapping, official misconduct and official oppression. Four of the five officers had posted bond and been released from custody by Friday morning, according to court and jail records.</p>
<p>Martin’s lawyer, William Massey, and Mills’ lawyer, Blake Ballin, said their clients would plead not guilty. Lawyers for Smith, Bean and Haley could not be reached.</p>
<p>“No one out there that night intended for Tyre Nichols to die,” Massey said.</p>
<p>Second-degree murder is punishable by 15 to 60 years in prison under Tennessee law.</p>
<p>Patrick Yoes, the national president of the Fraternal Order of Police, condemned the alleged actions of the Memphis officers.</p>
<p>“The event as described to us does not constitute legitimate police work or a traffic stop gone wrong. This is a criminal assault under the pretext of law," Yoes said in a statement.</p>
<p>Rallies and demonstrations were planned Friday night in Memphis, Boston, Chicago, Detroit, New York City, Portland, Oregon and Washington.</p>
<p>New York Mayor Eric Adams, a former police officer, said he and other mayors across the country had been briefed by the White House in advance of the video’s release, which he said would “trigger pain and sadness in many of us. It will make us angry.”</p>
<p>Antonio Romanucci and Ben Crump, attorneys for the Nichols' family, called on the police chief to disband the department’s so-called scorpion unit focused on street crime.</p>
<p>Nichols “at all times was an innocent victim,” Romanucci said Friday. "He did nothing wrong. He was caught up in a sting. This scorpion unit was designed to saturate under the guise of crime fighting, and what it wound up doing instead was creating a continual pattern and practice of bad behavior.”</p>
<p>Davis said other officers are still being investigated for violating department policy. In addition, she said “a complete and independent review” will be conducted of the department’s specialized units, without providing further details.</p>
<p>Two fire department workers were also removed from duty.</p>
<p>As state and federal investigations continue, Davis promised the police department’s “full and complete cooperation."</p>
<p>___</p>
<p><em>Associated Press reporters Aaron Morrison in New York; Travis Loller in Nashville, Tennessee; and Rebecca Reynolds in Lexington, Kentucky, contributed to this report.</em></p>

<p>RICHLAND, Wash. — Police arrested a suspect hours after a deadly shooting in Washington state.</p>
<p>The suspect was identified as 39-year-old Aaron Christopher Kelly.</p>
<p>He was captured hours later on a highway northeast of Richland.</p>
<p>Investigators say Kelly entered a Fred Meyer grocery store with a cart, duffel bag and a backpack at 11 a.m. Monday.</p>
<p>He encountered Justin Krumbah minutes later, had a short interaction before Kelly reportedly shot at Krumbah.</p>
<p>Police said they responded to the store at 11:30 a.m. after getting reports of people yelling and possible gunshots within the store.</p>
<p>Krumbah died at the grocery store.</p>
<p>Another person who was hurt was taken to a hospital and remains in critical condition, police said.</p>
<p>Police do not believe Kelly knew the victims.</p>
<p>Kelly fled the scene, but U.S. Marshals found him later the same day.</p>
<p>A spokesperson for Fred Meyers said, “The entire Fred Meyer family offers our thoughts, prayers, and support to all affected individuals and families during this difficult time. We are cooperating with local law enforcement, who have secured the store and parking lot. The store will remain closed while the police investigation continues, and we have initiated counseling services for our associates.”</p>
<p>Kelly is now facing charges of first degree murder and first degree attempted murder.</p>

A fired Wisconsin pharmacist who is accused of intentionally spoiling more than 500 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine made his first appearance in court.Steven Brandenburg, 46, of Grafton, was arrested Thursday. He was being held in the Ozaukee County Jail.Brandenburg appeared virtually for a probable cause hearing.A certified letter listed recklessly endangering safety and criminal damage to property as possible charges.A criminal complaint has not yet been filed.Ozaukee County District Attorney Adam Gerol told a judge it remains unclear if the vials Brandenburg allegedly removed were destroyed or damaged by Aurora Grafton Medical Center. That could dramatically impact the charges from felony to misdemeanor. Gerol said he needs clarification from Aurora and the vials may also need to be tested by Moderna. He mentioned during the hearing that Brandenburg brought guns to work on at least two occasions and hospital officials had concerns about him.The judge set a $10,000 signature bond.According to the probable cause statement, Brandenburg told investigators he removed the 57 COVID-19 vaccine vials from the freezer because he believed it was not safe and it could harm patients and change their DNA. "He'd formed this belief they were unsafe," Gerol said. The FBI and U.S. Food and Drug Administration are also investigating.Advocate Aurora Health Care Chief Medical Group Officer Jeff Bahr said Brandenburg admitted to deliberately removing the vials from refrigeration on Dec. 24 into Dec. 25, returned them, then left them out again on the night of Dec. 25 into Dec. 26.A pharmacy technician discovered the vials outside the refrigerator on Dec. 26. Bahr said Brandenburg initially said he had removed the vials to access other items in the refrigerator and had inadvertently failed to put them back.He was fired after admitting to intentionally damaging the vaccines. The Moderna vaccine is viable for 12 hours outside refrigeration, so workers used the vaccine to inoculate 57 people before discarding the rest. Police said the discarded doses were worth between $8,000 and $11,000.Bahr said the doses people received Dec. 26 are all but useless.

extraordinary security measures in Washington now include razor wire is the capital becomes more like a fortress ahead of the inauguration. There's a great deal of very concerning chatter, and it's what you don't know that we're preparing for. Law enforcement is most concerned about domestic violent extremists and the threat they could pose in the days leading up to and during the inauguration. We have a special responsibility that there is a peaceful transition of power in our country. A new FBI bulletin warns of possible substantial danger from explosive devices during upcoming protests. Are security plan was developed to respond to any contingency that might arise on and leading up to January 20th? Authorities air now walking back assertions that the rioters who stormed the capital wanted to capture and assassinate elected officials. But they still worried that the attack may embolden others, prompting shutdowns across the city, including the National Mall and Potomac River bridges. I don't know if anyone has raised their hand to say we are coming, we will be there but we are preparing as if they are, and part of that preparation now includes even Mawr troops in Washington, 25,000 National Guard troops, now expected there by Inauguration Day,

<p>A Brookville man was arrested after leading law enforcement on a chase through three counties early Thursday morning, the <a class="Link" href="https://www.journal-news.com/news/state-patrol-man-leads-troopers-on-chase-through-3-counties-down-i-75/AIH5KFRJS5GAJGSSTVCG2LW3JE/">Journal-News</a> reports.</p>
<p>Robert Lee Bergman III, 28, was transported to Atrium Medical Center for minor injuries. It was determined that Bergman was impaired and in possession of illegal drugs, said Lt. Clint Arnold, Hamilton Post commander for the Ohio State Highway Patrol.</p>
<p>Bergman is charged with failure to comply with an order or signal of police, possession of a controlled substance, felonious assault and a holder for Montgomery County, according to the Butler County Jail log.</p>
<p>Numerous Ohio Highway Patrol cruisers were damaged, according to Lt. Clint Arnold, Hamilton Post commander.</p>
<p>At about 1 a.m., troopers received a report of a 1997 Cadillac that fled from a Miami Twp. Police department traffic stop near Miamisburg.</p>
<p>A male passenger moved into the driver’s seat of the vehicle during a traffic stop while officers were attending to the female driver who was believed to have overdosed, Arnold said.</p>
<p>A short time later, troopers from the Hamilton Post spotted the vehicle traveling south on Interstate 75 between a rest stop and the exit to Ohio 129 and initiated a traffic stop. The vehicle did not pull over and attempted to flee from the trooper. The Cadillac quickly accelerated and exited onto west 129.</p>
<p>Once on 129, the vehicle abruptly stopped in the roadway and did a U-turn in the middle of westbound lanes. Prior to getting completely turned around and going the wrong way in traffic, the trooper used his patrol car to block and push the fleeing suspect into the ditch. The Cadillac was pushed off the roadway but was still able to get out of the ditch going through the median and getting back onto the eastbound side of 129 heading east towards Interstate 75, according to Arnold.</p>
<p>The driver entered back onto Interstate 75 northbound continuing to flee from the troopers. The vehicle was able to avoid stop sticks at the Ohio 3 Monroe exit and continued north.</p>
<p>At the Ohio 122 Middletown exit, the suspect attempted to avoid troopers again by doing another U-turn on 75. In efforts to keep the suspect from driving the wrong direction on 75, troopers used their cruisers to block and push the Cadillac into the concrete wall. The Cadillac was spun to the proper direction on the highway, however it withstood the impact and continued north on 75 until exiting at the Ohio 123 Franklin exit.</p>
<p>Once on Route 123, the suspect fled west entering into Franklin while being pursued by troopers. The suspect continued to drive erratically and dangerously, attempting to drive his car into the cruisers.</p>
<p>Arnold said troopers boxed in the Cadillac, but the driver was able to back out while driving in reverse through town. Once at the intersection of First and Main street the troopers were able to completely stop the Cadillac. The suspect attempted to run on foot but was quickly apprehended without further incident.</p>
<p>“We have no intentions of damaging our cars and other people’s cars but this individual was a danger to himself, the officers and other motorists,” Arnold said.</p>
<p>One trooper was transported to a hospital for minor injuries and was released. Franklin, Monroe and Middletown police departments assisted with the incident.</p>

Cincinnati police said there is an alarming rise in domestic violence-related killings. The latest being a pregnant mother and her unborn child in West Price Hill.Michelle McDonald's family said she was loving, happy and kind. They told WLWT they had no idea something so terrible was about to happen. That's why they hope victims will find help as soon as they can."I just feel so much pain that I just don't feel like it's going to ever going to end," said Michelle Sanchez, McDonald's mother.Sanchez cries for her 31-year-old daughter and her unborn baby granddaughter, Aaliyah.Cincinnati police said both are the latest victims of domestic violence murder.McDonald is remembered for her smile."Unfortunately, it's events like these that bring it to light more. So, now we've lost this beautiful woman and this child," Lt. Col. Lisa Davis said.Police have charged Antonio Wilcox, 37, with murder.Loved ones said he was dating McDonald and was the baby's father.McDonald leaves behind a 4-year-old daughter, who family members said witnessed the shooting.Cincinnati police recorded three domestic violence-related murders in 2018.They said there were just as many in 2019.Officials said in 2020, there were five domestic violence-related murders. So far in 2021, they have counted nine.Davis said the pandemic may have fueled a spike."The controlling, the manipulation, isolating you from your friends and family, those type of things. I think the lesson is whenever, as a family member, as a friend, you're seeing those things," she said. "I think it's OK to ask those tough questions and I think we all have to be that person because we care about them."Police said Wilcox has a violent history and should not have had a gun."We know a lot of bad guys get their guns through straw purchases, meaning, they'll get someone who can legally buy a gun and then they give that to the bad guy," Davis said.McDonald's family hopes her story could inspire victims to find help."Let them know they've got that one person they can come talk to and confide in when something like this is going on because it's happening in everybody's families," said Dorothea Young, McDonald's cousin.Police said this case is a reminder to never give up on the victims. They said it is important to remember to go at their pace and remind them that they have safety and support when they decide it is time to leave.Cincinnati police said domestic violence incidents typically only make up between 6% and 8% of homicides. This year, the number sits at 16%.They believe part of the problem is the number of guns available on the streets.Officials said so far, Cincinnati officers have recovered more than 800 guns.

Nine men are in custody in connection with a standoff between law enforcement and a group of armed individuals on Interstate 95 in Massachusetts, according to state police officials. The standoff between police and the group of armed men has caused the closure of a part of I-95. The situation has also led to a shelter-in-place order for parts of nearby communities. The situation began when a Massachusetts State Police trooper spotted two vehicles in the breakdown lane with their hazard lights activated on I-95 north at about 1:30 a.m. Saturday and stopped to offer assistance, according to MSP Superintendent Col. Christopher Mason.Mason said the trooper observed the group of eight to 10 men trying to refuel a vehicle and saw they were wearing tactical-style gear. They were armed with a combination of rifles and pistols. The trooper asked the men for identification and firearms licenses and when the men said they did not have them available, the trooper called for backup, according to Mason.A group calling themselves "Moorish American Arms" posted a video on Instagram overnight showing armed members blocking the highway."At some point during this interaction, a number of those individuals alight into the woodline with their firearms. A perimeter was quickly established," Mason said."No threats were made, but these men should be considered armed and dangerous. We are asking residents in these areas to lock their doors and remain inside their homes. A heavy police presence will be in this area as well," the Wakefield Police Department wrote in a statement. The interstate was closed in both directions between Lynnfield and Stoneham because of the standoff."They are refusing to comply with orders to provide their information and put down their weapons," said Massachusetts State Police spokesperson David Procopio. Two people were seen being taken into custody on North Avenue during a live report on sister station WCVB at approximately 6:10 a.m. Reporter Josh Brogadir said the men, who were wearing fatigues, were walking near a staging area."While we were standing in that area, we saw some officers start to run. They came over here and they took these two guys into custody," Brogadir reported. Procopio later confirmed the arrests and said the situation was continuing with the remaining members of the group. At about 10:30 a.m., about nine hours after the incident began, Procopio confirmed that the remaining seven suspects had been taken into custody by the MSP Special Tactical Operations Team.Procopio said state police would conduct sweeps of both the group's vehicles and the nearby wooded areas. In Massachusetts, Interstate 95 runs from the Rhode Island line, around Boston to the New Hampshire line. Wakefield is just east of where Interstate 95 and 93 meet north of Boston.Authorities say people in some areas nearby were being advised to shelter in place during the incident. Police in other areas advised residents to use caution and avoid areas of town near Interstate 95.The Associated Press contributed to this report.
