					Clermont County officials have issued a statewide Missing Adult Alert for Thomas Mills, a 71-year-old man.Pierce Township police Chief Paul Broxterman said a neighbor was the last person to see Mills around 8 a.m. on Tuesday in the Amelia Court Apartment's parking lot at 1381 W. Ohio Pike.Broxterman said when Clermont County County Senior Services arrived to pick up Mills, he was nowhere to be found."They checked inside. He wasn't there. So, they called the nephew who called us." Broxterman said.Police said Mills is 4 feet, 11 inches tall, weighs 115 pounds, and has grey hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a black jacket."He only walks around this immediate area. He's lived here for two years, and he has a very distinctive ... he has trouble walking. So, we're hoping someone in the area sees him and gives us a call," Broxterman said. The apartment complex is next to Kroger on Ohio Pike."We're checking the cameras of Kroger. We pinged his phone, and, you know, we got a hit about 300 meters around this area, which is 1,200 feet. We've had the sheriff's department come with the dog to do a search. We had a drone up. We have the search and rescue team coming to help us," Broxterman said. According to officials, Mills is autistic and suffers from "a delayed mental capacity."There are two search teams leading the efforts to find Mills, Cincinnati Search and Recovery and Ohio LandSAR Search and Rescue."We're worried about the weather cause he's going to have hypothermia. He wasn't dressed to be out in the rain," said Cincinnati Search and Recovery Chief Jeff Shari. "We come out here and all of us are volunteers. We don't get paid. We're in it because of our heart. We want to find him so we're going to stay here until we find him."Shari said the fact that Mills is autistic changes the dynamic of the search."We do a calculation on age, mental capacity and how far of a distance he could have gone since he went missing. They're usually attracted to water, lights, he lives right next to Kroger so obviously we check Kroger first. We have a K9 out checking the retention ponds in the area," Shari said. "We will then hit is common routes."Search crews ask anyone who lives in the area to check their property and backyards, especially places Mills may have gone to get warm. Anyone who sees Mills is asked to call 911 or 1-888-637-1113.

<p>
					Cincinnati police said a man stabbed two people in Westwood on Thanksgiving Day.Officers shocked him with a taser and shot him in the leg while he was still wielding the knife, according to police.Investigators said the officers involved are now on administrative leave, which is standard protocol.Meanwhile, neighbors who saw the chaos are glad it's over.The FOP president told WLWT that the suspect has since been treated and released from the hospital, but he will be charged.It was an unnerving way for people to spend the holiday."I seen the arguing and all of that took place, but then afterwards, police showed up, all of that came and I'm like, 'Oh my God,'" a neighbor who didn't want to be identified told WLWT.The neighbor has only lived in Lafeuille Apartment Homes for a few months but said this holiday with her two small children has now been marred by madness next door."I mean, even if there is a little bit of family drama, you're not expecting it to end in stabbings. So, yes, it definitely is shocking and crazy. Especially for it to happen in this apartment complex," she said.She didn't want to be identified to protect her family.Cincinnati police said a 911 call came in Thursday afternoon, reporting someone in an apartment trying to stab people.They said two officers responded and found a man and a woman stabbed.Investigators told WLWT that officers told the suspect to drop a knife and when the suspect wouldn't comply, they fired a gun and deployed a taser.The specific timeline has not been released by CPD."We don't have that set of sequence of events as of yet," Asst. Chief Terri Theetge said.Police said the suspect was shot in the leg.He was at UC Medical Center and in stable condition, police said.Officers said no one has life-threatening injuries.FOP President Dan Hils released a statement about the incident late Thursday night:"Today, while most Cincinnati residents safely enjoyed Thanksgiving with family, our local police officers were on patrol, protecting people. One of those officers was called to a local home after a 911 call about a dangerous man with a knife who was cutting people. She and another officer came upon a man wielding a knife. That man refused orders to drop the knife and then approached the officers with the knife. Both officers immediately saw the threat, and both acted quickly. One officer deployed his Taser device while the other simultaneously fired her service weapon. They stopped the threat. The criminal was treated and released from the hospital, and he will be charged. Both officers are uninjured. Everyone in Cincinnati can be thankful that, even on holidays, they have brave, quick-thinking police officers on patrol, risking their own lives to protect others."It's still not clear what led up to the stabbings, as CPD remains tight-lipped.Neighbors said they are relieved the incident is over."I didn't want them watching that. I was watching it but I was keeping them away from the windows, when the arguing, you know, I didn't want them to hear all of that. It's Thanksgiving, you know," the neighbor said.No one at the apartment involved answered the door.There was blood on the ground as well as empty bandage wrappers just outside the door.Cincinnati police said they believe the victims and the suspect are family members.They haven't shared the suspect's name, age, or if he has a criminal history.Police said the Criminal Investigation Section is now investigating and the Hamilton County Prosecutor's Office is involved.

					Springdale police asked for the public's help Tuesday. They're seeking leads in a two-year-old homicide.Josue Lopez-Ramirez was a Guatemalan immigrant who police said came to the United States with his family for a better life.His life came to an end when he was just 18 years old."When you stand there and see a mother who just watched her son be taken from her, you never forget that," said Springdale police Chief Tom Wells. Wells was at this scene that night. It was the day before Thanksgiving, 2019.Lopez-Ramirez had just picked up his mother from work and had returned to their apartment on Chesterdale Road."They pulled in to their parking stall in front of their apartment building, and before they were even able to get out of the car, a suspect car pulled in behind them, kind of blocking them in," said Springdale police officer Keenan Riordan. A group of men got out of the car. Police said they first attempted to rob Lopez-Ramirez's mother and then him."And one of the suspect's shot him. He was shot one time, however, multiple shots were fired," Riordan said. The suspects took off. Police collected evidence and followed several leads, but nothing has led investigators to the suspects.Tuesday, police urged the public to help them get answers."Maybe the suspects spoke about the accident. Maybe they acted suspiciously," Riordan said. "Maybe they'll talk about it at Thanksgiving dinner. Maybe they talked about it at Thanksgiving dinner two years ago, and I'm hoping that will jar a memory or something like that now that the holidays are upon us again." The hope is to bring closure to a family who is still suffering."It is our interest to see justice for people who are victimized in this community, and it's also our experience, people talk about crimes. They just do," Wells said. Police said they don't know why Lopez-Ramirez and his mother were targeted. They said it was possibly a crime of opportunity. Another theory is that they were followed home.The only description police have of the suspects is what Lopez-Ramirez's mother gave them. She said it was a group of either three or four black men wearing dark clothes and in a dark-colored car.Anyone with information is asked to call Springdale police or Crimestoppers at 513-352-3040.

											And so now I would very much like to pull the cord and launched the plaque in Diana's name. Hello? Mhm. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Just looking down to me. Peace dance Me. Yeah. Yeah. They must have smartphone. It's very exciting day for us because we're putting a plaque up to Princess Diana to commemorate the flat she lived in before she came became the Princess. So this is where she lived as a young woman uh kind of forging her life in London, sharing a flat with friends. And it's here also that she forged her relationship with Prince Charles. So it became a very famous flat. It became perhaps one of the most photographed flats in the world when it became known that she and Prince Charles were beginning a relationship.

					The London apartment where Diana Spencer lived before she became the Princess of Wales has been commemorated with an official blue plaque.The plaque was posted on the Coleherne Court building on Old Brompton Street in Kensington on Sept. 29 following a successful campaign led by the London Assembly."Diana had, and still has, a very special place in the hearts of Londoners and we are thrilled to see her blue plaque formally placed as a monument to her work for others," said Andrew Boff, chair of the London Assembly, during the unveiling ceremony.The plaque reads: "Lady Diana Spencer, later Princess of Wales, lived here 1979-1981."The two years Diana spent in Flat 60, Coleherne Court, were formative ones. She purchased the apartment with money inherited from her great-grandmother. The price was £50,000 ($67,000).Diana moved to London at age 18 and worked as a nanny and at a kindergarten. She began dating Prince Charles, heir to the British throne in 1980, and they were engaged a year later.As her public profile grew, Coleherne Court was regularly besieged by photographers who hoped to capture pictures of the future princess. After Diana got engaged to Prince Charles, her mother had the apartment sold. It is still a private residence today."Lady Diana Spencer, later the Princess of Wales, is one of the most iconic figures in recent British history," said a statement issued by English Heritage, a charity that manages over 400 of England's historic buildings, monuments and sites."Her troubled marriage to Prince Charles and later relationships were the subject of fevered and intrusive press coverage, but she won a lasting reputation outside her personal life for her extensive charity and humanitarian work."The blue plaque is the second significant memorial to Diana unveiled in 2021, the year in which she would have turned 60. In July, her sons Prince William and Prince Harry jointly revealed a statue of their mother at the Sunken Garden at Kensington Palace.These plaques are placed on buildings in England that are connected to important historical figures and are maintained by English Heritage. "Blue plaque spotting" is a popular hobby for sightseers and history buffs.The plaques acknowledge a range of politicians, artists, writers and other important historical figures, including Virginia Woolf, Winston Churchill and Freddie Mercury.Notable figures do not need to be British in order to be honored with a plaque. Foreigners who spent time living in the U.K., like Mahatma Gandhi and Emile Zola, have also been acknowledged.There are some 950 blue plaques in London alone.

					Residents at an apartment building in New Orleans say they were abandoned after Hurricane Ida knocked out electricity, and the property manager offered little to no assistance to the 40 or so low-income residents. Many are elderly and have acute health conditions that were exacerbated by the oppressive heat after the storm. Electricity was restored Thursday, but people who suffered through the heat are demanding answers."We went through a lot of pain and suffering, couldn't sleep, never got sleep or nothing, man," said Tyrone Webber, a resident at Boyd Manor.Residents depended on local community volunteers who brought them food, water and ice. Some of the volunteers had been inside the building's apartments and shared videos that showed water on the floor and leaks around window sills. The volunteers made patchwork repairs, but residents say they have not heard from the property manager about long-term solutions. "The landlord didn't come here, not one day. We was without lights and everything for 10 days, and she's going to come here today talking about she want rent," resident Yolanda Lewis said.National Baptist Housing and Economic Development own the property. Its chairman, who is also a local pastor, said he had evacuated from New Orleans for the hurricane and had not been to the residence since the storm. The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development financed the property and pays 70% of the rent for tenants, who must qualify as low-income. This means residents did not have the means to evacuate on their own.However, a representative for the company that manages the building told sister station WDSU that the residents were given information to arrange their evacuation through the city's 311 service. Only one resident chose that option. The on-site manager has been to the building every day since Hurricane Ida and brought residents food and water, the representative said. Residents dispute that claim, saying volunteers and a council member have been their only sources of aid. One resident said the manager "snuck in through the backdoor." A community member said conditions were substandard before the hurricane. He, too, said property management has been absent in the storm's aftermath.Personnel is expected to be sent to complete an assessment of building damage. That process was hindered by the lack of electricity. There was no timeline given for when repairs would be made, but contractors are reportedly expected to be hired if the damages are extensive.Residents should not be expected to pay their portion of the rent in the immediate aftermath of the hurricane, a representative for the company said, adding that she was not aware that the onsite property manager had pressed tenants for payments. She also said she was not aware of residents' claims that problems such as mold, mildew and leaks were present before the storm.

					Sharonville police said an Amazon driver was attacked by a pit bull while delivering packages on Wednesday.The driver who was attacked said the woman walking the dog took off with the dog.Now, the driver's arm is bandaged up and she is off the job recovering.Sharonville police are investigating what happened, but the driver said one thing is clear: the dog needs a different environment."I was in shock that a dog ran up on me because, like, I deliver every day to houses that do have dogs," Asia Turnbow said.Many days are delivery day for Turnbow.Most would say she is a welcome sight with Amazon packages in hand and a big smile on her face.But her day on Wednesday, would drive all of us to tears."Basically, the gash is probably like this big and this wide," Turnbow said as she described an area where she was bitten.She said a gray pit bull being walked bit her while she made deliveries at Waterstone Place Apartments in Sharonville at about 3:30 p.m."As I'm walking by, I'm like, 'Oh your dog is cute' and I kept walking and next thing you know, the dog ran up and attacked my shirt. So, I thought it was just my shirt that it ripped. Until I realized that it was bleeding," Turnbow said.Turnbow loves dogs and has two herself.But she said this dog was aggressive, pulling a harness and a woman walking it."He was about 150 pounds. He was a big dog. My dog is 110 and he was bigger than her," Turnbow said.She said the woman took off with the dog.Turnbow said she called for help and then walked to the front office alone and hurt."I went to the hospital. Spent probably three to four hours there, of them trying to figure out what to do next with it because the way it is, it's not repairable," Turnbow said.She said she's worked for Amazon more than a year handling thousands of packages.She's never been bitten."If you can't control your dog, then you shouldn't have the dog," Turnbow said.Now, Turnbow said she is too hurt to work and frustrated the woman left without hesitation."That could have been a small dog or even a child it could have bit instead of me," she said.A representative from the apartment complex said they've identified the tenant responsible and they have reported them to the police.They also said the tenant was apparently supposed to be dog-sitting, but left town, and someone else was dog-sitting.The representative said the dog is not allowed and the tenant has a short amount of time to get rid of the dog or they will be evicted.So far, Sharonville police have said the investigation is ongoing.It does not appear anyone has been charged or cited.Turnbow said she is hopeful the dog owner will be held responsible, not the dog.
