<p>TAMPA, Fla. (<a class="Link" href="https://www.abcactionnews.com/sports/tampa-police-attempting-to-arrest-former-buccaneers-receiver-antonio-brown">WFTS</a>) — Officers with the Tampa Bay Police Department have been trying to get former Buccaneers wide receiver Antonio Brown to come out of his house after an arrest warrant was issued.</p>
<p>Police used a megaphone to call out to Brown, asking him to surrender. Police told Brown they'd already spoken with his attorney. Officers were also seen knocking on Brown's door, and could be heard saying, "We're not going anywhere."</p>
<p>The arrest warrant comes after Tampa Police were denied a temporary ex parte risk protection order for Brown. In the protection order request, Tampa Police alleged Brown "poses a significant danger of causing personal injury to him or herself or others in the near future and beyond by having a firearm or any ammunition in their custody or control or by purchasing, possessing, or receiving a firearm or any ammunition."</p>
<p>Tampa Police said in the protection order request that Brown had access to two guns, including one handgun he carries.</p>
<p>According to the affidavit attached to the protection order request, police said Brown "was involved in a recent act or threat of violence against themselves or other others; was engaged in an act or threat of violence, including but not limited to acts or threats of violence against themselves, within the past 12 months; may be seriously mentally ill or may have recurring mental health issues; has used or threatened to use, against themselves or others, any weapons; and has been arrested for, convicted or, had adjudication withheld, or pled nolo contendere to a crime involving violence or a threat of violence in Florida or in any other state."</p>
<p>The protection order request and arrest warrant came after an incident between Brown and the mother of several of his children on Wednesday.</p>
<p>During the incident, Tampa police said Brown began throwing the woman's belongings out of the house. At some point, before police arrived, Brown allegedly came out of the home and "threw a shoe at the victim striking her in the ponytail."</p>
<p>By the time police arrived, Brown had allegedly locked all of the doors and windows to the home and refused to come out.</p>
<p>Police said Brown offered to let the children go inside the home, "but the kids did not want to go inside because they were afraid of their dad when he gets in these destructive moods."</p>
<p>Police said they made multiple attempts to get Brown to open the home but were never successful. According to police, Brown had placed an informal eviction notice on the door and repeatedly said the woman had no right to be at or enter the home.</p>
<p>The woman eventually left with her children and was told by Tampa police to "spend the night at a hotel or friends (sic) house and just let suspect cool down and not try to have any contact with him for a few weeks as not to instigate the situation any further while law enforcement action is taken."</p>

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Antonio Brown said Wednesday he was fired "for having a painful injury" during a game Sunday.Brown, who could be seen upset on the sideline during a game against the New York Jets, ultimately removed his uniform and shoulder pads, waved to the crowd and walked off the field mid-game.In a statement, Brown said he had relented to pressure "directly from my coach" to play despite an injured ankle, getting a painkiller injection beforehand from the staff to help deal with the injury. The seven-time NFL Pro Bowler doesn't name the coach he is referring to in his statement, but attorney Sean Burstyn told CNN that Brown is referring to head coach Bruce Arians.CNN has reached out to the Buccaneers for comment regarding Brown's statement Wednesday.Brown said in his statement he played until the ankle pain was extreme. He said Arians came up to him on the sideline asking what was wrong, and that he explained it was his ankle. Brown claims Arians "ordered" him to get on the field, and Brown said he told him he couldn't. Brown said Arians then shouted, "You're done!" and that Arians ran his finger across his throat. In a post-game interview Sunday, Arians told reporters, "He is no longer a Buc, alright? That's the end of the story."On Monday, Arians told reporters that Brown didn't tell him he was injured. "We had a conversation and he left the field," Arians said. When asked if the conversation with Brown on the sideline was at all regarding an ankle injury, Arians replied, "No.""I wish him well," Arians said. "I hope if he needs help, get some ... It's very hard because I do care about him."Brown said he had an MRI on Monday, which shows "broken bone fragments stuck in my ankle, the ligament torn from the bone, and cartilage loss, which are beyond painful," according to the statement, and that he needs surgery. Brown also addresses in his statement how he left the field."I know we were losing to the Jets and that was frustrating for all of us," Brown said. "But I could not make football plays on that ankle. Yes, I walked off the field. But there's a major difference between launching from the line and taking hits, compared to jogging off the field with a rush of emotions going through your mind. I am reflecting on my reaction, but there was a trigger. The trigger was telling me that I'm not allowed to feel pain.""Antonio Brown never faked an injury in his life," Burstyn said. "It is incredible that people are pushing false rumors that what happened Sunday was the result of mental health issues and not a well known ankle injury. Mental health is important, but so is basic dignity."While Brown's future remains unclear, he was not released by the Buccaneers on Monday, according to the NFL's transactions report.Asked about the team not making an official transaction, Arians said Wednesday, "It's a management decision, what's happening right now," and when asked if it was a matter of "how" and not "if" Brown will be removed from the team, Arians responded with, "Right."

He then waved to fans as jogged through the end zone and into the tunnel at MetLife Stadium. It appeared to be a show of frustration by Brown, who had three catches for 26 yards.Brown was suspended last month for three games for violating the league's COVID-19 protocols. He also has a history of personal conduct issues and bizarre behavior.Brady connected with Cameron Brate for a touchdown on fourth-and-goal from the 4 shortly after Brown's exit, and the QB finished the Bucs' rally with a 33-yard touchdown pass to Cyril Grayson with 15 seconds left. The Bucs stuffed Jets QB on fourth-and-2 at the 7 for no gain with New York trying to seal the victory, giving Brady and the Bucs the ball back with 2:12 left.It was more than enough time.Brady marched the Buccaneers (12-4) down the field on nine plays, zipping a pass to Grayson — who was elevated from the practice squad — for the go-ahead score. It was Brady's third TD pass of the game and 40th of the season, joining him with Drew Brees as the only players to throw for 40 touchdowns in consecutive seasons. He finished 34 of 50 for 410 yards, the three TDs and an interception for Tampa Bay, which had Arians back after he tested positive for the coronavirus earlier in the week.Le'Veon Bell ran in the 2-point conversion against his former team, forcing New York to need a touchdown. But the Jets (4-12) ran out of time. The game featured the largest age gap between starting quarterbacks since at least 1950, with the 22-year-old Wilson facing the 44-year-old Brady. Last month, Brown and two other NFL players were suspended for three games by the league for violating COVID-19 protocols. In November, Brown was accused of obtaining a fake COVID-19 vaccination card in order to circumvent NFL protocols, according to a report published by the Tampa Bay Times. The allegation came from Brown's former live-in chef, Steven Ruiz, the newspaper said. Ruiz said he came forward with the accusation after Brown failed to pay $10,000 owed to him.Ruiz said he was asked by Brown's girlfriend to get the fake card in July.Ruiz was unable to acquire a vaccine card for Brown, but claimed the player later showed him fake cards Brown had obtained for himself and his girlfriend, the Times reported. After the story broke, the Buccaneers released a statement saying they had vaccination cards from all players and that "all vaccination cards were reviewed by Buccaneers personnel and no irregularities were observed."Brown's attorney, Sean Burstyn, told ESPN at the time that Brown was vaccinated.NFL rules do not require players to be vaccinated, but those who are unvaccinated are subject to additional precautions including daily testing, masking and eating separately from teammates during meals.Brown's career has been marked by off-field incidents, and he served an eight-game suspension last season before joining Tampa Bay. That punishment came after he made a no-contest plea to burglary and battery charges last year. Brown also was accused of sending threatening text messages by a woman who said he also made sexual advances toward her.Brown, 33, has played parts of 12 seasons in the NFL. He was an All-Pro in 2014, '15, '16 and '17 with Pittsburgh, and also has been with the Raiders, Patriots and Bucs, though he never played in a game for the Raiders.

It was Brady's third TD pass of the game and 40th of the season, joining him with Drew Brees as the only players to throw for 40 touchdowns in consecutive seasons.</p>
<p>He finished 34 of 50 for 410 yards, the three TDs and an interception for Tampa Bay, which had Arians back after he tested positive for the coronavirus earlier in the week.</p>
<p>Le'Veon Bell ran in the 2-point conversion against his former team, forcing New York to need a touchdown. But the Jets (4-12) ran out of time.</p>
<p>The game featured the largest age gap between starting quarterbacks since at least 1950, with the 22-year-old Wilson facing the 44-year-old Brady.</p>
<p>Last month, Brown and two other NFL players were suspended for three games by the league for violating COVID-19 protocols.</p>
<p>In November, Brown was accused of obtaining a fake COVID-19 vaccination card in order to circumvent NFL protocols, according to a report published by the <a href="https://www.tampabay.com/sports/bucs/2021/11/18/bucs-antonio-brown-accused-of-obtaining-fake-vaccine-card/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Tampa Bay Times</a>.</p>
<p>The allegation came from Brown's former live-in chef, Steven Ruiz, the newspaper said. Ruiz said he came forward with the accusation after Brown failed to pay $10,000 owed to him.</p>
<p>Ruiz said he was asked by Brown's girlfriend to get the fake card in July.</p>
<p>Ruiz was unable to acquire a vaccine card for Brown, but claimed the player later showed him fake cards Brown had obtained for himself and his girlfriend, the Times reported.</p>
<p>After the story broke, the Buccaneers released a statement saying they had vaccination cards from all players and that "all vaccination cards were reviewed by Buccaneers personnel and no irregularities were observed."</p>
<p>Brown's attorney, Sean Burstyn, <a href="https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/32662241/antonio-brown-obtained-fake-covid-19-vaccination-card-former-chef-alleges" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">told ESPN</a> at the time that Brown was vaccinated.</p>
<p>NFL rules do not require players to be vaccinated, but those who are unvaccinated are subject to additional precautions including daily testing, masking and eating separately from teammates during meals.</p>
<p>Brown's career has been marked by off-field incidents, and he served an eight-game suspension last season before joining Tampa Bay. That punishment came after he made a no-contest plea to burglary and battery charges last year. Brown also was accused of sending threatening text messages by a woman who said he also made sexual advances toward her.</p>
<p>Brown, 33, has played parts of 12 seasons in the NFL. He was an All-Pro in 2014, '15, '16 and '17 with Pittsburgh, and also has been with the Raiders, Patriots and Bucs, though he never played in a game for the Raiders.</p>
