SHEBOYGAN FALLS, Wis. — Logan Mohr is your typical 4-year-old boy. He loves his toys, his trucks, and most importantly, his family. Now, this tiny, but mighty, 4-year-old is being called a hero for saving his mom's life.

"By God's grace, he gave me and my husband a son that knew what to do," said Logan's mom, Kayla Mohr.

Kayla Mohr suffers from chronic seizures. She says Logan is no stranger to her episodes and always does what he can to help.

"As he got older, we were like okay, when this happens to mommy, go get daddy," she said.

Last month, while Kayla Mohr was getting Logan ready for school, she knew something was off. Her husband was at work. She sat down, called 911, and put the phone on speaker. Minutes later, she began to seize.

LISTEN to the full 911 phone call:

Sheboygan Falls 4-year-old calls 911, saves mom suffering from seizure

Dispatcher: "911, what's the address of your emergency? Hello?"
Logan: "My mommy is having an episode."

It was the first time she heard the 911 recording between the dispatcher and her son, who could let emergency officials know what was happening.

Logan: "She's shaking her head and her legs."
Dispatcher: "Okay, is she able to talk to me on the phone?"
Logan: "No."
Dispatcher: "Do you know if that's called a seizure?"
Logan: "Yeah."

"I was feeling brave," said Logan.

Logan stayed on the phone until paramedics arrived and Kayla Mohr was able to get the help she needed.

"You can't train a kid to just do that," said Kayla Mohr. "It was just instinct."

Logan received a life-saving certificate and two medals from the Sheboygan County Sheriff's office for his bravery. An honor fit for a hero.

"He's my little superman," said Kayla Mohr.

An emergency call made by a 4-year-old New Zealand boy asking for police to come over and check out his toys prompted a real-life callout and confirmation from an officer that the toys were, indeed, pretty cool.Police shared audio of the call on social media this week along with a photo of the smiling boy sitting on the hood of a patrol cruiser, noting that while they don't encourage children to call the emergency number, the incident was "too cute not to share.”The call begins all business: “This is police, where is the emergency?”There's a pause as the unidentified boy hesitantly says, “Hi," and then “Police lady?”“Yes," the dispatcher says, switching to a friendlier, singsong tone. "What’s going on?”“Um, can I tell you something?” the boy asks, and after being told he can, says “I've got some toys for you.”“You've got some toys for me?” says the dispatcher.“Yep. Come over and see them,” the boy replies.A man then gets on the phone confirming the call was a mistake, saying the 4-year-old had been helping out while his mother was sick.A police dispatch call then goes out, giving the address: “There is a 4-year-old there who is wanting to show police his toys, over.”“Yeah, I'm one-up, I'll attend to,” responds an officer.Video below: 9-year-old aspiring cop gets visit from SWAT members, surprise shopping spree Police said the officer, who they identified only as Constable Kurt, was shown an array of toys at the boy's house in the South Island city of Invercargill. They said the officer was also able to have a “good, educational chat” about the proper use of the emergency number, which is 111 in New Zealand.“He did have cool toys,” Constable Kurt reported back after attending the callout, according to police. They added that: “The lucky kid also got to see the patrol car and the officer put the lights on for him, too."

HAMILTON TWP., Ohio — After an hours-long search for a missing 4-year-old girl in Hamilton Township on Sunday, authorities discovered her body in a pond near her home, according to Hamilton Twp. Police Chief Scott Hughes.

"Our worst fears came true," he said during a press conference at 8:30 p.m. "Just before 8:00 the dive team and the folks in the boats were scanning around the outside of the pond near where the rocks were and unfortunately they found Emrie's body there in the pond."

Several police and fire agencies from surrounding counties and cities, including the FBI, searched diligently alongside Hamilton Township community members to find the young girl, who was missing for just under eight hours in the Turning Leaf subdivision.

"This, this sucks, right?" said Hughes, fighting tears. "This just sucks. I mean, she was, she was four years old. There's nothing really you can say."

Hamilton Township police said Emrie was last seen around 12:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon. At a 4:45 p.m. press conference, Hughes said footage from a security camera showed Emrie walking away from her driveway with no shoes on.

Police said they were told Emrie liked to visit the pond to feed the fish with her parents and suspected she may have headed in that direction after leaving her home.

Hughes said later, they found a witness who spotted Emrie in the area of the neighborhood near the pond around the time she went missing.

"Early, when she first went missing ... we had a couple dogs and the dogs kind of led us up this way," Hughes said.

Officials aren't sure how exactly Emrie died and won't until the coroner's office releases its findings. Throughout the search, Hughes said there was no indication she'd been taken or led away and they didn't suspect foul play played a part in her disappearance or death.

Hughes said the community should be commended for the high turnout and determined efforts during the search, including fire and police from multiple townships, cities and counties in the area.

"This community just came together," he said. "We've gotta keep the family in our thoughts and prayers."

Dozens of neighbors and community members joined the search efforts early on, combing nearby woods and yards and driving through the neighborhoods, calling Emrie's name for hours.

"We've looked, we went through the woods, we looked everywhere we could," said Kaitlin Neumann, one of the many community members who helped with the search. "Like, anywhere you walked you were running into people, everyone was driving."

Sunday evening, Little Miami Schools tweeted about Emrie's death, expressing their condolences for the young girl's family and asking the Panther Nation to lift up her family.

ST. JAMES, N.Y. – A 4-year-old in New York is recovering from brain surgery to treat cancer but he can't get the chemotherapy he needs because he’s been diagnosed with COVID-19.

When Matteo Ferruzzi started feeling sick, his mother, Jennifer, says she wasn’t that concerned.

"Honestly, we just thought it was a stomach virus," she told

                News 12 Long Island.

But quickly, other symptoms developed, including Matteo’s eyes, which began to cross. The boy was rushed to Cohen’s Children’s Hospital, where it was discovered that he had an inoperable malignant brain tumor.

"I didn't expect to get this diagnosis," said Jennifer.

Matteo had emergency surgery to relieve the pressure on his brain. The St. James boy was then sent home to recover before he could begin chemotherapy. However, that's when things became more complicated.

Jennifer came down with the coronavirus and had to self-quarantine.

"It was hard for me to be in the bedroom so sick and hearing him out there, not be able to tell him ‘it's OK, mommy's here,’" she said.

Matteo also tested positive for the coronavirus, which has now delayed him getting the lifesaving treatment he needs.

"The best time I can get a good cry in is when I am in the shower," said Jennifer.

Jennifer says both she and Matteo were recently retested, but both are still positive. She’s hoping and praying the next test will give doctors the go ahead to save her son's life.

"It's such a crazy time for the whole world,” said Jennifer. “We are all in a crisis."

This is the message Jennifer says she wants to share during this heart wrenching time:

"If your child is showing symptoms or complaining about something, absolutely get them into their pediatrician right away,” said Jennifer. “And even if it's nothing, it is better to be safe than sorry."

Once Matteo gets to start chemo, he will have treatments for at least a year.
